ah, my bad, but you do provide good points. I'm not a fan of nl-9 myself, though I enjoy the corsair, the nl-9 feels... extremely clunky, i can't say anything about the nl-9 points really because they are right, but im not sure that nl-9's existence proves that the stun grenades aren't useless, i'd say they aren't useless, however their stamina damage focus limits their utlilty over other grenades. i really do have no respect for people who do this on good rigs.

NL-9 is horrible in general, if someone can do well with it that's a non issue, sure the only thing that can "1 shot" after a stun grenade is that and the pig, however, they are no different from Frag/conc n shotgun in a sense, but STILL takes up to 4+ seconds to set up. Also note that pig is a 1 shot reload, and it takes 1+ seconds to reload, along with having to not miss... through the smoke AND have hitreg actually not make the shot miss (and half the time the shot misses with the pig within range due to hitreg). Yes, LTL is strong when used in conjunction with the stun grenade, just as any lethal weapon is strong when used in conjunction with any lethal grenade. That does not make them overpowered. Even with stun grenades being the only thing that can stun in 1 shot aside from similar opgl/osmaw shots that doesn't mean they are broken. Concs 1 shot half the vehicles in game yet noone complains about them aside from their hard damage against players. Even if you nerfed stun grenades slightly, you'd STILL be 1 shot pig/nl-9'd. No LTL and stun grenades aren't too strong, and no they don't need a nerf.

OCA and PMG had the same ttk until they reworked the oca (of which was reverted). PMG was semi-fine but never used before it got buffed, however it's buff was a tad bit too strong. Even when OCA was a big deal, PMG was an issue as soon as it got buffed. The answer isn't to buff the OCA and NFAS. OCA NEVER needed touched (though cj affecting it was a good change), not since pre-2012 has it needed buffed or changed. PMG got buffed to the point where it NEEDS to be reworked slightly, and it has needed that slight powerlevel down, for a long time now. PMG was never an issue until the buff. Give it a minor rework (Not a hard nerf, just reduce a few accuracy/range/ttk numbers slightly), it won't break the gun, and the people who cry RNG are the same ones using it out of optimal range anyways.

manic also has increased recoil out of marksman mode. I honestly run the accuracy gain one with EM3 all time, prefiring a corner a little and hitting someone 30-40m out and taking them out is just so nice. However, i do agree that it needs buffed. I don't want an STK change though, but reducing TTK to .73-.75 would probably be fine. I'd like to increase their accuracy "slightly" as well but i'd probably go with ttk first, and if its not enough increase accuracy.

I pretty much agree with this but would go further. A tryhard will utilize any and every play in the book to win, regardless of the enemies skill level. Doesn't matter if they are new, casual, or competitive. The only goal is to win, by any means necessary, and in some cases, to look good for "twitch" viewers and ego. (I know some of yall are like this) Playing a bunch of low rank bronzes and trainees (or anyone for that matter) and car hop to annihilate them on the way to next point consistently as they spawn? Yeah thats tryhard af, and an extremely bad habit. I know people who find it "fun" because it nets them kills, but it's honestly extremely cheap and part of the reason so many people have left the game. Good job on being a sh*tbag. Spawn rushing from the objective as defense to kill a spawner/two? Tryhard af Play against enemies of similar skill level and exploit car mechanics to glitch the item/oneself where you shouldn't be to net an eas(y/ier) win? Tryhard and potentially a glitch abuser - I've seen some like this and report them for it, sadly they've never been banned. Feel the need to abuse well known glitched item mechanics against a bunch of silvers with 1/2 golds as premade gold group? Tryhard Especially knowing that some of yall set up macros to do it. It's lame, its stupid, and the game creators shouldn't have to fix every stupid little bug in game because your sorry asses can't NOT abuse them. Running in APB is kinda tryhard, but it's more or less just lame on various levels. I'd consider it just lame, that is unless the enemy has a vegas push going on behind the item/vip to bypass the game's speed reduction. (Honestly wish they'd fix this but there's no real way to) While it's true that at some point you become so skilled that it's hard to not seem like a tryhard, there are often extremely clear differences in gameplay between non-tryhards, and tryhards in the above, as well as weapon usage. (Ie. Using Odin vs Ursus) (I don't see car rushing in itself tryhard if you're there sniping or at range intentionally camping, however if you just spawned and the enemy defender/offense is driving around specifically to hunt your spawn. Yeah that's tryhard.) ---- Maybe I should say "playing like a POS" is what makes you a tryhard but that would probably be too broad ---- (And no explosives aren't tryhard) Merged. While true, it's effective stun range is still rather small, and the weapons that follow up on the stuns, tend to also take longer to stun than it would to get a kill if you didnt get it perfect.

The results are pretty much what I expected. Not surprised the Ursus weighs the most towards "nerf me" though haha. As for the Old Glory, it's actually really balanced. If anything it could get another 5-10m of range, but I wouldn't want to push it too much because it already has high damage, and the damage could overdue the range moreso than needed. I've owned most of them, and the chart is mostly correct. -
Been gone awhile, What's going on?
Noob_Guardian replied to Trivirium's topic in General Discussion Archive
I get these and they happen for up to a minute +. It seems like you have to wait a minute if you buy from a contact, but if you "renew" a lease, it may not happen? It seems random with "renewing" but buying from a contact seems to trigger it. Which is really annoying if you need to buy an osmaw or OPGL in a pinch, and may only use one once a few months.... -
It's good i think, skimmed through it, but i haven't seen a montage in ages for APB. I don't remember you though The color changes really fucked with my eyes, if you're going for a certain style, Great! Keep it up. I found it hard to follow some things because the colors changed so drastically at time I was like whut, so I felt like i was missing what was happening. Aside from that no complaints.

How to deal with this situation?
Noob_Guardian replied to blockblack's topic in General Discussion Archive
I can't relate, but i've never taken threat all that seriously. Losing a few matches won't make you lose threat as long as your score is decent. I've faced people who got a WIN and LOSE THREAT, and lose and GAIN threat. As long as you yourself do decent, do the objectives, you should be fine. -

find a group? Make a friend? Don't worry about winning so much? -
I hope that someone answer to my question

I don't believe that accounts are cross platform like that, I could be wrong. I think that PS4/XBOX have their own accounts based off that acc name, while Pc is based off of steam/g1 downloader. -
Pump Shotguns don't reliably kill in 2 hits past 7m unless its the strife. The only time they did was when CSG was OP and ended up getting nerfed. You should expect 3-5 hits past 7m for most pump shotguns. SMGs have always had more range than shotguns, shotguns have always been for much closer engagements. Don't expect them to be good outside of 10m (except for strife/shredder/corsair) because they aren't meant to kill reliably that far out. Shotguns have random spread, CSG used to not, and they gave it random spread to make it not "ptw". Shotguns are in a decent place if you know how to use them and approach with them, but with you being new it'll be a bit of a learning curve. It's more likely the random spread is biting them. I dont think it was 2 shotting reliably that far, maybe once in a while but 3+ shots with CSG at 13m sounds about right, and 5+ for JG sounds right. CSG (I'm pretty sure is the TAS?) has tighter spread than the JG, and the JG has the same spread as an NFAS. As such expect CSG to be more reliable further out, however it also does less damage than JG so you may think you're tickling them instead if you miss slightly or don't get good on the spread. TDLR Dont expect most shotguns to be good past 10m

Any tricks/ways to improve latency?
Noob_Guardian replied to notHyx's topic in General Discussion Archive
There is for other games, but it makes no sense to enforce in APB. Most other games also have a larger number of servers and areas to connect to. This isn't the same for APB. They also fixed a bit of the netcoding and prediction which used to make most games against brazillian players a real headache. -
@404 At the time G1 had been doing a sort of over time release deal for packs and items. You'd buy the "premium access" or w/e it was called. And you'd get the next few released "sets" which were released over time the next few weeks/months. They had the Revelations, the pack before that, etc as such items. Maybe I'm thinking wrong and it was just the "pack of revelations pass" which they released the pack over time. What I do know is that there was supposed to be another vehicle added on Armas regardless, and it never was. LO at did acknowledge that at least. It should have been added like 2-5 years ago or some crap, but never was.

Those who ordered that pack with the growl which was supposed to get that new car, will we get that car or have to buy it "again"? (I think it came in a pack right?)

Would you like to have weekly activies back in APB?
Noob_Guardian replied to Boba's topic in General Discussion Archive
I dont think the guns were outdated it only ran for a few months before they removed them and they were 3 slot weapon leases that people got for free, I agree with the second part. They moved moreso to joker tickets rather than the special weapons. I missed the special weapons as well though. They never specifically said why it was changed, but i know they ended up increasing? Joker ticket rewards and tried to push the joker store moreso after that. I think it went to 300 JT, they then reduced it to 200/250JT once mission districts came in. I think it would be worth it to add the special weapons on rotation, might get newer players in FC as well to get that 3 slot or special weapon for 10 days or w/e. -

You get 100JT per joker box now, 10000 Joker tickets is 100 bucks on joker boxes now /shrug. You can get 1000JT a week or so. Even then 10000 is for the 3 slot variant. I'm sure there's a cheaper one with fewer slots.

Engine Upgrade - Beta Stream Announcement
Noob_Guardian replied to MattScott's topic in General Discussion Archive
i've played for 8 years, took plenty of breaks, and have all roles on my enf max (6/5/15/16 cop, explosives, pistol, etc) except for marksman, sniper, and lmg, which i'm leveling simultaneously and are at 15. Getting to rank 15 for the 3 slots isn't too bad to do, but it does take a bit of time. I get that "endgame" 3 slots are considered everything, however, most weapons you really only need 2 slots, which is R10, and much much easier to attain. The most useful mods on weapons tend to be 2 slots, then the third is generally ammo or 3ps/mob sling depending on weapon aka utility. As such people tend to focus on 3 slots a bit way too much when often the 3rd slot only gives utility, while the first two gives functionality. 2 slots should be what people should expect to attain fairly easily, while providing the best functionality of a weapon without a lot of grinding. -
ironically yukon got nerfed a while back ^,.,^

I'm good enough to beat every gun including the manic. Yes the Manic is strong, but I don't feel it's op. If its touched it should be jump shooting. Aside from that's it's just a consistent weapon similar to the ATAC and OCA, which is why people feel it's so good. Try going shotgun or OCA against it and use corners and grenades effectively. Otherwise stay mid range and use obeya/ntec/far/star and try not to cqc it too much unless using a fr0g, nfa, showstopper, or .45 Ontopic: No ATAC isn't broke, and if its like that on console, thats because console is easier to use it than other guns, not because it's broke.
-
The only thing that would arguably need changed on it is jump shooting. Because it can do so at pretty much perfect spray accuracy. Other than that i feel that it's fine. I would have been against touching it had PMG and OCA stayed in their previous states, as it is now with them back to being somewhat "pre-buff" with .7ttk. I feel the Manic can be slightly reworked with the jump shooting nerf. It is pretty deadly so i can understand why people feel it's op, but within its range against the pmg/oca/shotguns, i feel it is fairly balanced. Merged. Star is actually pretty good, yes it's considered the weakest, but that's honestly because it's the most balanced of the AR's. Ironically people say STAR is the weakest, but ignore the Misery, Cobr-A, and Aces Rifle. All of which are kinda worse than the star.

Weapon Balance Changes - 1.19.6
Noob_Guardian replied to Beastie's topic in General Discussion Archive
ended up breaking some guns with perfect accuracy at all times, and ruined most in cqc engagements, so it got reverted.
