Ammo system should either be revamped so that it's not as long and tedious to get your ammo, or just reverted back to his past state and auto-resupply on respawn. Right now it's BS to me, and to a lot of other people.

Happened to me today. I was able to shoot through a wall to get a DMR kill at like 95+ metres. Shit was crazy lol Btw you don't auto fully resupply anymore on respawning, is it intended or not?

Exactly. Sometimes I'll shoot 6 shots from N-TEC, and 4 hitmarkers will show yet the opponent is dead without assist. Usually all hitmarkers show but I don't really pay attention to them anyways. This has been the case for a long long time for me Happens a lot to me as well, with DMR and Anubis. It's weird because you're like "wow how did that miss" and then you get an assist/kill. But I've also experienced quite a lot of "negative" ghost shots, sadly.

Imo the game has much worse problems than weapon balance atm. What's scaring off new and old players from APB wasn't the fact that NTEC is everywhere, HVR QS was a thing and OCA was by far the best cqc weapon. Right now we have this weird situation where balancing is NECESSARY because Shotguns have become too powerful and rewarding and need a nerf, but aside from this and some minor nerfs to NTEC and OCA (those that we are testing) I think the game is already pretty balanced. We need to move forward with the engine upgrade, as that will open the doors to new content, better optimization, and (hopefully) better server stability. Once we achieve this and they find a way to deal with DDoS attacks, the game will eventually start drawing in players and grow up a little bit. But it's only at that point that imo a complete weapon rebalance should (slowly) start to happen.

Ye I kinda want the old meta back now, shotguns are starting to be seriously annoying to deal with. I've tried to adapt but man there's nothing to adapt when some guy pops out of the corner and always 2shots your sorry a$$

Big agree. This game is very hard for newbies rn (tried to get a couple friends playing it and they found it extremely hard), and a big testament of this is the very low amount of newbies you find around. I think 70% of the current pop is composed by people who have 3+ years of experience in the game, while the other 30% are mostly bronzes/low silvers that are pretty unlikely to stick with APB for more than 1 year. If this company wants to keep the game alive they'll definetely need to find a way to attract new players to an old game, but this all will probably be done after the engine upgrade(s). We can only wait and hope for the best.

There are 2 ways of complaining about shotguns: 1 (also known as the smart crybaby way): make a thread on Social with a stupid title written in broken english. Give no feedback, no reasoning, and threaten to abandon the game if things won't change. Remember to use at least one of the following: "shitty game", "R.I.P. APB", "This company is even worse than the previous one", "I would like a barefoot girl to step on me" 2 (also known as the good guy way): go on OTW and extensively test the weapon you think is broken. Then go on forums, find the appropriate thread made by LO_Beastie or other Staff members, and write a well-written comment about why and how a certain weapon is, in your opinion, too much for the metagame. Be positive with your criticism and try to provide some suggestions too, as that could make the dev's job easier and possibly faster. I guess the n° 1 is definetely more effective, seeing how many people prefer it to n° 2, but I still struggle to understand why. You're a healthy, normal being, that doesn't display disgusting ahegao or his waifu as profile pic Ahegao is the death of ecchi/hentai. Waifus are plain dumb lol

This thread is very different from what I expected.

B NTEC is imo a great step in the right direction. The nerf is not perfect yet but I'm really happy to see that LO has acknowledged NTEC's most unfair aspects that make it so versatile. I think the nerf right now is a bit too harsh: despite me hating the weapon immensely, I still think that it's a meta defining weapon and therefore should still stay in top 5 best weapons in the game (otherwise plenty of crybabies will start complaining on forum). but this is just me theorycrafting, I haven't played OTW yet. Reverting the OCA buff is a great idea too, as it brings back the nice balanced meta SMGs had before it. IR3 on paper seems fine now and I'm glad you guys listened to our suggestions in the forums, I feel like our opinion matters now! Pretty ok with shotguns overall changes, altho I think Strife is still very gimmicky but I can understand how hard it is to balance it. Again we're just testing so even if you kinda break it don't worry you can always revert to being almost shit! Be creative As for range variations to both ARs and some Rifles I'm still uncertain. Some weapons didn't need nerfs or buff to their range and you will probably have to revert some of them, but I appreciate the attempt to make IR3 more stable innthe meta. Plus we're on OTW so there's no danger if some weapon sucks or becomes broken:)

As a DMR main I feel like SBSR needs another niche. Destrying cars is already done pretty decently by DMR-AV, which has the added benefit of doing more damage per shot on players and also a reverse dropoff mechanic that allows you to kill some cars and players A LOT faster sometimes. Right now we have a lot of sniper rifles that fulfill very different roles, so fitting SBSR-IRS into a unique niche can be pretty hard. Giving it a faster rate of fire and lowering recoil A LOT would probably make it alright, although Anubis being now decent kind gives it a run for his money.

You can't be serious . Dead serious. It's a bit of an hyperbole, yes, but IR3 had no downsides and every mid range weapon used it to great effects
