Does anyone still have the trace route instructions to hand?

Not my intention, I assure you. This is true. Being an international community as well, the line between the two can be pretty blurred as common insults in one place could be a deathly insult in another. Thank you for keeping the discussion civil thusfar.

Is it just me, or do people in the APB community have a really poor attitude to other people in the community? I've seen slurs directed against assumed race, gender, sexuality, virginity, mental capacity, place of origin and religion. Even if these don't offend me personally, I expect more of a supposed adult community and I have been continually disappointed. Is it worth asking Gamers First/Little Orbit to police the community? Should we all switch off our chat, close our eyes against the Nazi symbols and hum really loudly? Are we even capable of policing our own community and expecting better things of ourselves? Discuss.

I hope that this will bring some players back. I would normally say that new content is never a bad thing, but I just have this sense of foreboding.....

Depends on the look you're going for. There's some really well done stuff out there, but the best has a core theme or style to it. What is your character, who are they and why are they wearing what they do? Do they wear a uniform? If so, what type and where from? Are they a biker, or part of an MC? Perhaps they're from an anime? Or just love Tasty Burger? Perhaps they have a terrible taste in shirts?

Instanced housing was asked for some years ago, IIRC. Under the current engine and with the presently available resources, I imagine this would be rather hard to do.

The modern MG3 (NATO 7.62mm) is nearly identical to its MG42 predecessor and has been in use since the 60's. That's German engineering for you. Yes, yes they are. I spent the money, I got the kits. The kits can be applied to the Citadel. They're ugly kits, IMHO, but they can be fitted. Edit: I will produce screenshots if I have to.

I'm in favor of a complete re-work. Many of the older vehicles simply haven't stood up to the test of time and are in need of a lot of attention. The basic starter car is a good all round vehicle in terms of handling and ramming capability, most of the tier 1 and 2 vehicles suffer by comparison. After a certain point it starts becoming a case of who can drive well with a Vegas 4x4 or a Pioneer, simply because those are the most common.

Thanks for the information there, Slickiem. I'm using a wired connection at the moment, so I'll check the other points you've raised and see if anything helps. I can't really blame DDoS as I'm on the EU servers. Though I do recall reading somewhere that the client tries to slow connections down to balance players? I may be mistaken there.

I can understand the OPs frustration, but they aren't the only one with inconsistent server behavior. I may be wrong, but I understand that there are plans to deal with this as part of the matchmaking improvements?

Hi guys. Since a hiatus of a month or two and the last patch or so, I'm at the point where APB is very difficult to play. I'm getting random lag spikes from 60ms to 250+, my character bounces back and forth and steering can vary from perfectly normal to behaving like I'm on an ice rink. Could you point me towards some things I could do to improve stability of the connection and home-box performance, please? I'd like to be able to see where the blockages are, if they're at my side or caused by the server and so on.

I'd like to see a sit or sit_chair emote.
