I got my 255 through sheer persistence. I'm not "gud" and I doubt I ever will be. That's one of the reasons I prefer to make things in the social district. When I do go and do missions, I get stomped on, it isn't fun and I have never - NEVER - seen anyone try and offer advice to newer players on how to improve. I'll try an analogy and hope it clarifies the frustration that I'm sure many players feel after getting stomped on by better more effective players. If you blindfold me and send me down a corridor with a tripwire. I'll eventually learn to be careful and learn where that tripwire is. If you keep moving said tripwire and then, say add someone with a bat to smack me in the face at random down that corridor while I'm blindfolded, it's really not going to be easy to learn to avoid that without someone telling me what's coming. I'll really never do well until I can either remove the blindfold, or be given a stick to find the tripwire or the person with the bat.

It does however, add to the number of people being sociable; adding items to the in-game markets, recruiting to voip channels, clans and (sometimes) helping newbies find their way around the game.

You find an alternative game with this level of customisation that isn't Second Life and I'll go there. Until then, put up, shut up, or suggest improvements.

I really don't think this matters. "Being a veteran" in a computer game doesn't entitle anyone to any sort of importance; especially if they fail to contribute to the community in the first place.

Oh hey, it's this topic again. Time to open the canned answer. Change will only happen if the community get behind it. Take your group of silver-threat friends into silver districts and play there. Encourage others to do the same. If a bunch of gold-threat players go into gold district, they'll find that the district will populate as well. Be patient. Also; this was a problem long before Little Orbit moved in and they have already said they're looking to deal with it - See threads on matchmaking, server merging and mission phasing.
