I think it was mentioned some time ago that there was a new game mode being worked on that could be used to provide Joker Tickets I'd more prefer if contact dailies gave more tickets, the current amounts are just pitiful all around
-
it does, as does lowering your resolution More likely the butchering is turning off some rendering effect that is the actual cause of stutter
-
All these people running monster rigs and potato settings, I'd like to challenge you all: Turn down only particles and static decals, see if your fps is stable
-
The idea was probably to force you to keep track of your supplies (and penalize you if you don't) which is nice IMO; APB always seemed to be a blend of MMO and 3rd PS so more of that is welcome (or so I think)

Is it the mechanic being clunky though or just the slow-as-snails UI system that presents it?

Colby CSG-20 PR1 (uesless) please revamp @Matt
Nite replied to Scarlet's topic in General Discussion Archive
Seems like a pretty odd justification when the CSG presets mostly had IR, which was probably one of the best possible mods for it before Little Orbit came in and started making changes... -
Fallen Earth is planning on a fresh start server for the future
Nite replied to TheMessiah's topic in Archive
Clearly in 10 years from now future games LO owns will still have topic threads being opened in the APB general section... -
I had personally guessed a December appearance (where appearance means "on the OTW") at best for the Upgrade, signs seem to point to that being the case so far.
-
You can have that quite easily in a 4v4 arranged match with some of the longer missions. Each team deciding who covers which range bracket, who on the enemy team is best dealt with by who, which character/vehicle mods to run and when to use them, etc. Just because you don't see much strategy in your average match doesn't mean the game cannot have it....

Anything that ends in VIP is automatically bad.... Creme De La Crime for how much of an item scramble the final stage is.... Fast and the Incarcerated for using the Benkz(spelling?) Mueller as a hold item... There's one or two missions whose mid-stage involves delivering three heavy cargo items (typically desktop PCs or portable safes), objective placement can reeeallly hinder you there if u get the short straw...

Holy hell, I never thought I'd see the day these bugs get cleaned up! Excellent job LO!

1-19-6 Weapon Prototype District Changes
Nite replied to Beastie's topic in General Discussion Archive
For clarity it should read "increased to 11 from 9" (so you need to land more pellets than before to kill in two shots). -
A little internet searching goes a long way you know....

Its all a holdover from the Cold War IIRC - 1st World was basically Team NATO and its major allies (so the US, Canada, UK and Western Europe for the most part) while Team Warsaw Pact and its major allies (Cuba falls under here for example) were termed the 2nd World. 3rd world was any region or country not a part of either of the two above. Places such as the Caribbean for example.

I don't know about how the console playerbase feels about all this but I'm confident in claiming most of the PC base would rather you just disable the Vivox service on PC, if rectifying the issue is gonna come at a cost of manhours spent working on the Unreal 3.5 transition. PC already has Discord, Teamspeak, Mumble, and numerous other existing alternatives to get our voice comms game going, we can live without Vivox. We cannot live without the Unreal 3.5 upgrade though, not any longer than is strictly neccesary....

Misinformation and prejudice can combine in some beautiful ways when it comes to this community

This is the theory that I find too outlandish to be true. You're trying to posit the idea that the server is designed to arbitrarily decide to shut down and restart a district based on some threat distribution factor?
-
What? the district closed itself? How would it do this exactly?

The DMR can't hope to outperform the oblivion now, it has a slower fire interval (800ms to the Obliv's 475ms), worse sprint speed (475cm/s to the Obliv's 550cm/s) and barely any extra damage (the Obliv does 325 health dmg now which is not far off the DMR's 400). Only the DMR-AV has anything going for it over the Oblivion due to it's hard damage advantage. ISSR-B makes a stronger all round case compared to the S-247 (though that fight is closer than before IMO) but definitely not the DMR.
-
I personally disagree with that, the shots go by pretty quickly if you get the timing down, and the sprint penalty is barely there with how miniscule it is

More matchmaking tiers ensures that all players in the system will neatly fit into a specific tier. This allows greater consistency in their matchups. The current situation of only 3 effective tiers leaves too much room for players whose performances places them in between tiers, creating significantly inconsistent matchmaking from game to game for those players (all those players complaining about how they feel stuck between gold and silver). Which of course discourages them from playing.

I would love to know what exactly "the hitreg issue" is here - I was of the general impression that "lol no hitreg" is just a symptom of packet loss, server stutter etc. Going by this though it seems to be some kind of bug in the code.
