  1. Your suggestions are no good, I think the direction they've taken is fine. You may disagree and that's completely fine but this is pretty much what they community has been asking for so the fact they've taken that direction is not without warrant. Secondly, I think we should wait until the balance changes get implemented on the live server and then see how those changes develop in a live server, N-TEC may still do good but it won't do nearly as good with the changes that have been adjusted on other weapons. There will also be new meta that develop naturally overtime, people haven't adjusted to the new changes yet so give it time.
  2. BloodyMary is an exception I think. It's really good, but that modification is brutal however. The reduction in hard damage/range isn't really worth the upgrade in TTK if there is adjustment I'd make that would be it. Hitchhiker is pretty bad, not going to lie I think I prefer the Jersey Devil over it, because at least with the Jersey Devil you can consistently get off good fast bursts and that draw time makes it pretty reliable in a pinch if they get up close.
  3. Positive changes generally tend to be more favourable, there are outliers like you mentioned the Yukon or the HVR. But overall people tend to like positive changes to weapons instead of nerfs, because the consequence of nerfing weapons is that you piss off a lot of people who may really like those guns, I'd be more interested to see what would happen if a lot of the balance changes excluding shotguns were updated to the live server. I think from what I've seen, people tend to have come to the consensus that a lot of the changes to everything but shotguns seems to be quite good. Personally I'd of preferred a straight damage nerf to HVR as opposed to gimmick mechanic, I'm curious to see how it'll effect people with higher latency.
  4. Reflex Sight has never changed, people like you just simply don't understand how it actually works. Not true, part of G1's balance changes to the shotguns at least their attempt on it was to nerf any increase in accuracy it had with shotguns. There are a lot of preset shotguns out there still that have never been adjusted for this change and still have reflex sight on them regardless. Reflex sight as it stands is just a placebo mod on the shotguns, I do wonder if @LO_Beastie will look into this change and revert it back to how it was before G1 adjusted it.
  5. I just tested that variant in Baylan C. We found that hitting center mass at 18 meters and under you can kill in three shots with the thunder. At 19-20 meters it starts killing in 4 shots. We didn’t test beyond 25 meters though, but it was still killing around 4 shots at that range. -Which is fine in my opinion, 6 shots and if it takes 3 to kill and 4 to kill at 20m that's 50% or 66% of the mag respectively. You have to take into account the new changes, the damage reduction per pellet. I think a 40% reduction in firerate is a good middle ground for the thunder and an increase to reload time. -Shotgun changes seem fine, the Shredder however doesn't really seem that different. An increase of (20)m effective range to (30) would be fine for the shredder. JG may be a little too strong up close and far too consistent, slight reduction in damage per pellet. -Improved Rifling change is controversial but I like it, I'd aim more for 5/10/15% middle ground for the modification would be a pretty decent middleground, In step with what a bunch of other people have said the change is pretty consequential for balance. Overall, I'm completely fine with a lot of the general changes to other gun but I believe these changes should stay for awhile to see if any other unforeseen consequences arise.
  6. Well they've finally done something about Yukon, that completely came out of left field. I was deciding whether to part with 5 mil for one but they've made up my mind for me. I can see a plummet in prices on the marketplace happening very soon.
  7. It's still very questionable as to whether you'll see any further performance improvement simply by just having the FPS cap being lifted. APB is still very heavily unoptimized for multiple CPU cores so you need a CPU with very heavy clock performance on a single core pretty much like the 8700K from Intel. Unreal Engine 3.5 has direct x11 support and scales way better along multiple CPU cores and scales better mainly on NVIDIA hardware. I mean Unreal Engine in general scales better on NVIDIA hardware.
  8. Maybe I'm remembering wrong but as I recall work for 3.5 was finishing up in July and we should expect something in August. I'm not sure where I saw that information but when I saw this post that's immediately what I thought of, also I find it's a little strange we've still got no information on weapon balance passes.
  9. Lol no. Because that'd diminish the intrinsic value legendary guns have if they were more abundant. It'd destroy the legendary market because everyone would have them, giving some players barely anything to aim towards and spend their APB cash on.
  10. I'm not sure about Steam, I've never attempted to purchase G1C through Steam but I'd pretty surprised if taxes weren't applicable to CC purchases. It may not show up on Armas interface but it may be something as a separate transaction your CC provider does on the backend. I'm obviously not going to purchase something to try it out.
  11. It's VAT. The VAT is 24% in Greece which is consistent with the picture you sent. I live in Australia and I pay nothing really like 10% extra. You should get this whenever you go to purchase something in the Armas marketplace telling you which taxes/fees are applicable to your purchase. "All prices include 10% sales tax. The name for this tax varies by country (VAT, GST, JCT)."
  12. The freestyle tool is pretty cool as well, I've played around with that a little in Skyrim. Basically allows you to play with shader settings while you're in game in real time, I'd like a feature like that in APB, I think it'd be pretty cool. Unfortunately the tool is still in beta and has a limited catalogue of games that it works in but the feature is still very much there and I imagine with the upgrade to 3.5 LO are going to have to get into contact with a representative at NVIDIA anyway to push new drivers.
  13. Jesus, as it has been previously re-iterated over and over the person who's currently working on the balance for APB was one of the original developers for APB that worked on the game balance. LO specifically hired that person to do that task but LO have yet to disclose who they're talking about. There has been speculation about which developer they're actually talking about when they brang it up during the QnA. I welcome changes to balance, it's one of my biggest issues with APB and I'm glad they're finally looking into the Anubis hopefully they look into the RSA, SWARM and ISSR-A because those weapons for all intents and purposes are POS.
  14. Just suspend someone who repeatedly posts suggestions in general for 7 days I'd say. Give them 3 warnings and then a 7 day suspension.
  15. Even if you were to get a mission going you'd just be matched with the same people over and over. I don't like playing the same people over and over, because people get familiar and I don't wanna have to play against people I know very well.
  16. I think it was clearly stated that if there was enough substantial evidence to warrant your ban then they'd not unban you. So in your case they have enough evidence where there is no doubt in their mind that the ban was reasonable.
  17. Regardless of what people want for the server now it's clear that the server needs a more active player base before any decision can be made. Hopefully the update to 3.5 or 4 will attract more people to the game but I'm not holding my breath, it's a stretch but if that doesn't materialize in getting more players then I could see no future for Han.
  18. Yes we're aware and if you've seen replies within previous threads on this issue including this one. We're trying to make the case that isn't the correct procedure to take. Giving people the option to migrate to Jericho is a nice gesture. It however doesn't help with the underlying issue, that and a lot of the people on Han already have seperate accounts on Jericho anyway. The reason people on Han may choose to stay on Han are purely for network based reasons and Jericho cannot accommodate that niche for SEA and ANZ players.
  19. Why..? The remaining population of the server is either Australian, New Zealanders with the minority being South East Asian. Besides are the South East players getting such a raw deal having to play on a server in Japan..? If what you're saying is actually true and it actually isn't wouldn't the South East Asian players of stayed because as I said they wouldn't be getting a bad experience right now. As I recall the server slowly started to die once they had decided to move it from Australia to Singapore because everyone got pissed off with the decision that G1 had decided on. I also recall the submarine cable being damaged between Singapore and Australia at that time which further caused huge instability with latency for Australian players. The submarine cable being damaged is actually a pretty common occurrence these days, it happens at least once a year and that can last up to 2 months, if the break is bad enough. That's just one of the very few issues with placing a submarine cable in a high traffic area where there are a tonne of fishing boats. https://www.computerweekly.com/news/450431205/Australia-Singapore-submarine-cable-connection-cut-again This was just last year. ^ And this is this year https://subtelforum.com/perth-singapore-subsea-cable-down-again/
  20. The stuttering I was experiencing is gone.
  21. Happy that this milestone is out of the way now so I don't have to deal with the plethora of threads asking about BattleEye or generally on the conversation of BattleEye itself. So I guess that means the engine update is next, which is what I'm looking forward to more honestly.
  22. It's a dumb argument. The fact that there are plenty of games already available that offer these customization options to players is a detail not lost on me. But it seems to be lost on a lot of people in this thread. There are literally dozens of monitors available now that have the ability to even enable a crosshair, I'm actually using one. As I recall it sounds like Matt wants to enable features like that eventually anyway. There is literally 0 discussion to be had because in my mind, it's just pretty much the consensus you have that much customization in your game if you're going to have your game on PC in 2018. The hold crouch or toggle sprint are features that should've been there from the very beginning. When players integrate those features themselves via configuring the ini files I just don't have anything against it and I completely understand as to why they'd do that. It shouldn't of been an oversight by G1 not to notice that those features were surely needed sooner but decided instead to go with the heavy handed approach and ostracize the players that decided to just implement those features themselves. The Advanced Launcher in itself does pretty much the same thing, it changes features not normally available through the ingame settings, I wouldn't see that as an exploitative tool and I'm sure many other people here wouldn't either. I feel it's a double standard for someone to use advanced launcher and with the same mind ostracize people who edit ini files manually.
  23. Didn't realize your ping was so bad, I'm not sure how you can play so good on Jericho with that ping. I get 191 on Jericho and 110 on HAN and even I complain about that.
  24. Go right ahead, E3 is right around the corner, plenty of new games to be released.
