I will say there are some parts of the criminal Nomad Waragi that I want on my enforcer Pioneer Waragi, especially that rear bumper, as well as most parts of the Seyo Espacio Mammoth because the Enforcer Big-horn is so ugly that it could make the blind vomit! As Enforcers are more closer to bounty hunters than police officers, I can believe a lot of Enfs would use the V20 Nightrider kit APB was intended to have faction exclusive weapons but then comes the arguments of factions getting better weapons over each other... Already before i could post, there are arguments for Less than Lethal and a criminal equivalent!

I have told him all this on another thread and I can't be asked to repeat myself honestly. The first Amendment gives only protection from the government with free speech. This does not mean you are protected from the consequences of your free speech. Also said last time to read the rules because you're only getting the wrong attention of other forum users and staff. If you don't want negative attention then read the rules and maybe people will take your first amendment more seriously and consider it.
-
Read the Rules, Submit a report to customer service and leave it at that. Your First Amendment means nothing on an international platform like the internet.

...Numbers? APB is not a stats based game despite being strategic but it's strategic in the way of being tactical. Why would a shooter game be numbers based?
-
I said it before a number of times and I'll always will, Customer Acquisition VS Customer Retention Costs are not in APB's favour. APB:Reloaded as a product is not anything exception and in the past was in a worse state. If you got a poor product then people are not going to come back for more, it is easier and cheaper to keep current customers than trying for a marketing push when the game is not in a good place Especially if the new players are going to leave because of perceived: Pay to win, cheaters and hackers, dethreaters, poor graphics, low server population numbers, (previous) poor customer service standard, ETC....

Hey. Event is over. Now it's time to fix your mess.
VickyFox replied to Mitne's topic in General Discussion Archive
This is what made this event so bad... Exclusivity of a item will leave some feeling disappointed. The use of a pre-existing item which was already considered a exclusive reward was a mistake and the change last minute just upset the rest of the community at the relief of a few. The time limited nature isn't a bad thing but time limited this was ridiculous. As polite and professional as it was to make a request that previous winners yield to allow others to have a chance is, it's just asking for mockery and trolling because this is the internet! Despite the apologies from GM during the event, the poor implementations just serves to exasperate almost all the negatives of this community. I am often cynical and pessimistic due to my upbringing, but what was Little Orbit trying to achieve and what did they ACTUALLY achieve with this event? -
First off we've had server merges before and while the population was boosted for a bit... well... you know where we are with population levels now. Jericho and citadel are 2 servers that were made up of a further 2 servers in their respected continents: Colby(NA West), Joker (NA East) and Obeya (EU1), Patriot (EU2). Either all servers are unlocked and players can then load on to whatever server they want or keep things as they are but... MattScott has said the reason individual characters migrating is difficult is because while the games on all PC servers should be the same, It's the custom player made content that could cause glitches and errors. To avoid damages to either server or loss of content on the player's part, it's just safer to avoid it. Like turning off wireless devices on a plane. To migrate whole servers would request months of planning, testing and contingency plans. Personally, my main character is on Jericho but I live in England. This because the Europe servers were offline when creating my first character but there's nothing I can do about that. Server merging/migrations have not helped population numbers in the long run as we can tell from past experience. Server merging would only be treating a symptom and not the actual cause.

My only day off last week I tried the event and in my first game an opposed mission started as the gun game did but me and my opponent agreed to just ignore the mission. Second round, my game crashed to desktop and had to relaunch the game after the automated crash report and launcher finished scanning. Third round was OK till about half a minute before the end of the game and then APB froze... Then I was screwed as Windows Task Manager was stuck behind the frozen APB:Reloaded full screen, I had no choice but to do a full system restart and I missed the explosive round. That was my only day off! I don't even care for the gun skin or event but the one time I actually tried, It was a complete waste of time and a frustrating total inconvenience At this time I am still in email talks with a member staff about logs but there may possibly be an error with the logs too. No disrespect to staff over this event and my experience but it feels like an attempt to do something to get to know the community better, without knowing what it is exactly that you are doing anyway! First using a gun skin which was considered exclusive form another event, a new event that had to be scheduled and started by GMs and lag with game crashes... It all just comes across as a planned out idea without knowing how to go about it. I don't want anything other than to vent my frustration and get it off my chest that I would of rather not had Autumn assault if it meant the Christmas holiday event could possibly be of a better quality. -
You must not be active in APB. First APB PC version is running Unreal Engine 3.0 which is not given support anymore buy Epic, Current gun console version run unreal engine 3.5 optimised. Second, GamerFirst procrastinated and neglected APB to the point of having to go under new management. While they did buy APB and save it from Real Time Worlds, They rather milked APB:Reloaded released new in game content but didn't do more to bring it up to day other than fixing broken stands of code from RTW. GamersFirst customer service is just outright poor over the past years. GamersFirst Credit price was too high and as such it reflected in Armas Marketplace. Because G1 are so "good" at interacting with the playerbase, the community just became toxic as GMs left the game, staff felt intimidated and APB became overly competitive. Also G1 added threat segregated districts which caused people to actively try to dethreat, this is a constant pain for new players. There is more I could say I am not going on to RTW and I want to eat my supper sometime tonight!

LittleOrbit had good intentions but with a element of anonymity that comes with the internet and no real hard restrictions, polite requests or orders will fall on a few deaf ears. Some consideration into a more preventative measure wouldn't go a miss please?

Cheater name changed. Proof deleted since new name?
VickyFox replied to moxxichixx's topic in General Discussion Archive
We're not talking about a certain prolific capra are we? Certainly would be a good argument for IP bans or making APB a pay to play game unfortunately. -
As Zero said, The biggest thing holding APB's potential back is the game's Unreal Engine 3.0. It maybe as optimised as it could be but technology has moved on when the software hasn't, As such both the software and newer hardware struggle to run smoothly with not the best of comparability.

Will we see snow this december?
VickyFox replied to (Xbox)MortisedGuide's topic in General Discussion Archive
Unfortunately it may be a bit too short notice to add. In the past adding snow may not be possibly due to game limitations, That may still be the case... In future with a new game engine more diversity in weather and environment conditions maybe get added. -
Cheater name changed. Proof deleted since new name?
VickyFox replied to moxxichixx's topic in General Discussion Archive
One would of hope little Orbit keeps a record of name changes as well as Armas purchases. If so then rule breaking could be traced back if Customer support are not too busy. -
I wish Little Orbit would implement visual improvements but I doubt it, That does look great thought and fills me with prive with APB... Although, I don't normally get travel sick, the movements of the camera did make me feel a little unsteady which is odd.

Maybe more accuracy to make it viable up to 20 metres would be more fair but the damage drop off matches the OCA which makes me think it was always intended to be a CQC weapon. I will say that logic and mathematics would suggest that along with range, accuracy should be increased with a greater rifle barrel (obviously factors of rifling angle and length). The velocity of the gun would suggest it should be more accurate with the exception to the fact it is a hand gun with iron sights and human factors then come affect.

Well first let me say that people of North America are not working to my benefit so I don't know how you can say that was selfish... Especially when I live Europe! So yeah thank you for that chuckle, it brought a smile to my face for reasons unintended. Life is not fair I work all times of the day and night. Being medical staff I do morning shifts, Evening shifts and sometime night shifts and full days. (depending on week and rota cover). It was unrealistic for me to even try and attempt to partake in the Autumn Assault event but that's not anyone else's concern. Back on topic: Personally and a lot of people have felt for a long while that overall game Quality of Life is a priority, again that's after GamersFirst's neglectful handling of APB:Reloaded. The servers populations of APB was on the decline over 2017 and got to a alarming state in 2018 but there is a reason for everything, the reason for the declining server population has to be addressed. Have you heard of "Customer acquisition vs Retention costs"? It is easier and cheaper to retain existing customers than the retain new customers. If a product is good then it should be able to sell itself after some initial awareness is made of it. For example MineCraft, while spin offs games and new versions have come. The original vanilla game doesn't need advertisement because of the branding and quality in it's simplicity. If a product isn't good then it doesn't matter how much money is waste in promoting it, it's just going to get a bad reputation and new customers that won't come back... Like in Fallout 76 is actually losing both new comers and long time Fallout fans, It's has had a few near game breaking bugs, some content wasn't as described, actual in game content could be described as barren and Customer service was poor (A service can be considered a product). TL;DR: Thanks for the chuckle, yes I'm selfish as f-ck and I'm sorry you're not having fun in game right here and now... But I don't want APB to die. GamersFirst did try a recruiting new players with the live action trailer "Be all you CAN'T be", but profits and population numbers still declined. I'll use the metaphor of running out of all water supply, because more water was wasted than trying to patch a leaking pipelines!

It's unacceptable that other people need sleep, have to work in the morning to pay bill and feed themselves? It's unacceptable that the society doesn't stay awake at night? What is unacceptable is GamersFirst neglecting APB:Reloaded to the point of losing customers and concurrent players to all servers because of poor customer interactions and procrastination... But that's in the past and G1 is under new management of Little Orbit, who really can't take all the blame for past actions. Be grateful servers are up and that there is anyone online at all, this could of been repeat of the RTW situation where Gamers First have to consider closing it's doors. ...because Fallen Earth is CLEARLY keeping GamersFirst afloat!

A lot of people have been saying bla bla blah my ping and latency!!1! I want to ask the Original Poster to look at this objectively, and consider what benefit would there be seriously? The point of the OP was because of a low population count and game opposition didn't have much variety. North American and Europe are different continents with different time zones, You're going to get a population boost of 10 to 20%... When people are playing in Europe, most Americans would be busy with day time working hours. When North America finally starts to become more active online, that's when Europe starts going to bed if they haven't already. Sorry I just wanted to point out that the merge would be quite redundant, and yeah I feel a lot of these comments on this thread are coming from a place of selfishness... and no I don't care if i get a dozen dislikes to this post by this time next week.

Your account security is equally your responsibility as it is Little Orbits's. If you got a response from customer support then changes are that they can read however they are limited in what they can do in these situations. If your account is compromised then customer service may not be able to help you other than resetting your account password, This is for a number of reasons: A compromised account will not be considered secure, Staff MAY NOT give you your items back if there is a risk they you'll lose it again. They cannot tell if your account is still compromised or will be compromised again. Staff are not going to add potential fuel to the fire at their expense. You assume responsibility for an account that is compromised on the client side. EVEN if a account was compromised and it was a beach on the server/staff side then legally they cannot be held liable as you agree to weaver your rights in agreeing to the EULA when creating an account. Any assistance is at their digression and really out of good will.

Money is but a currency and more can be made, Weapons are a tool and a vital one in San Paro "Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day, teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime" Honestly We don't know how much in game money the in game thief has, so who is to say that they don't have more money than you and don't need it. You are very much jumping to conclusion in anger and most that lost multiple items like this would feel angry and upset, But as other people have mentioned; There have not been any reports of others losing items recently on the forum and chances are that it is easier to get your password from you (both directly and indirectly) than trying to hack into GamersFirst Database. You should know that Little Orbit came in about May 2018, If this occurred before then, then it most likely that there is nothing customer service can so. On top of the fact there wouldn't guarantee the return of your stolen items even if you had evidence and knew who did it.

Let me say that I agree. Moving this thread to Off Topics was quite the misjudgement, but I'll leave at that in respect to the forum rules. I am personally not downplaying the validity of what has been said, however I am 100% indeed downplaying the severity and scale that you are describing. For a person that is concerned about the potential treatment of new comers to APB, you must sure see that instigating action is actually getting the wrong attention and counter productive as you warn people away... Like a scientist warning people of a disease, instead of trying to find a cure. You seem like an intellectual and philosophical persons at that, I am not here to flatter you or to make friends. This is a forum of fellow players of APB and not a political party, trying to start a protest or lobbying isn't going to do anything. In the words of Mahatma Gandhi: "Be the change you want to see in the world". It would be more effective if you report all cheaters witnessed, set a good example in the community and encourage new users to take their time, have fun and relax. While I do not think you intend to, It does come cross are scare mongering about cheaters which only serves to be a convient and quick excuse for new players to better themselves and to learn from mistakes after 1600 hours in APB, there are still times I find myself going "Ok that wasn't right", "That was stupid of me", "Impressive, I didn't see that coming" and sometimes "Ok no, that shouldn't be possible." Sometimes there are situations occur which are just unavoidable and nothing more could of been done, but most of the time a negative is just a potential to be learnt from and made positive. You should know that Little Orbit took over of Gamers First only in May 2018, in that time they implimented a new Anti-Cheat system BattleEye and are working to further dispel negative behaviour and rule breaking. Being under a year, Give them a chance because I don't think you've been on APB long enough to see what REAL cheating can be like. I am happy to talk further about a positive gaming mentality, concerns about some ill intended individuals in game or how APB is changing for the better but I encourage you NOT to post daily as it may be considered spam and this thread will be locked.

Well first Welcome to the APB:Reloaded. Everything you suggested... everyone has too and Little Orbit are working on trying to get as much more new content as possible while still improving the core game code and engine. Churning out new content that isn't a reskin of already existing in game content isn't easy or quick.
