I'm on my way to work on the bus and I got to get this off my chest, I lend my ear to many people out out of fairness including those who probably shouldn't be listened to. after seeing where APB has come from and more importantly where it has been, I am thankful APB is still online at all. I personally advocated for APB:Reloaded to be shut down as to let the game die in a dignified manner, opposed to servers being forced to shut off as staff lose jobs and doors close. For the past 3 years GamersFirst had given up, were scared of the player base and didn't care for a long time an even longer time. No content, some holiday events cancelled, no interaction or communication from staff AT ALL. APB should of died! This past week all I have heard on the forum other than Autumn Assilt's f-ck up, is Wah was waah cheaters... ...Wah Wah waaah trigger bots. Be great full APB exists at all because it comes across so spoilt when little Orbit did more in a 3 months and GamersFirst did in 3 years! I agree as much as the next person that cheaters, trigger bot, hackers, scammers and all rule breakers need to be addressed. But there is a time and place for everything but expectations are too high right now.

Sorry but I got work soon and that survey has a element of bias trying to make Little Orbit look bad. There are teams to deal with cheaters and they may be stretched. I'm interested how you can verify 100% of your list as being cheaters. I was going to give you the benefit of the doubt of just being disgruntled and passionately upset but the way you've gone about this is boarder line toxic. What most people consider toxic is someone deliberately trying to upset up. I'm not sure how long you've been with APB but it has been MUCH worse in the past.

There will be next to no changes to aesthetic, and content would also not really be changed much. Why? People that have played APB before will immediately recognise it even if they don't remember the game's name. A new name and image doesn't won't bring a great deal of new people to be honest. If a rebranding or change of image/identity is needed then do it to make the game fresh with something new to offer, not to repackage a something that hasn't changed. APB has a bad reputation... because of the reputation!

You say that cheating caused people to think that some weapons are over powered... Have you ever stopped to consider that maybe the reverse? People using META guns that seem over-powered and that makes people think they are cheating? One would of thought that a cheater would have no problem when guns get balanced out. Just 2 examples: If someone glitches a objective then that undermines any skills or gun fire power, and there may be nothing that can be done about it. Hackers undermine skills and again fire power as the accuracy and speed of a bot/hack would be inhuman.

...Ahhh now this I can relate too, I didn't refer any friend when Refer a Friend Scheme was a thing because it was being abused and I anticipated bans because of it. No bans were made and everyone else got free rewards for referring other existing APB players and I got nothing. I can empathise, but I don't really now what to suggest or say about these situations other than it is robbery.

This whole thread was because we demanded to know what Little Orbit was thinking and what was going to be learnt form these sets of mistakes. Give them a chance to walk before expecting them to run. MattScott said that the Butcher Skin is OUT OF QUESTION to be re-released.

A sort of tribute / reference to Both the Butcher skin and Autumn Assault would be "Autumn Anarchy" (placeholder name). It's a compromise to both skins as a reward for those who won Autumn Assault event if the Autumn Assault Skin was to be released

Look at it this way, Why would a Veteran player want to play a game that they already completed and maxed out if there is no new content? A new event is a great incentive to get older players back in game actively again but that incentive loses all value if they'll only going to get rewards they already have unlocked.

One cannot blame Little Orbit if they feel this event's attempt to appease everyone is going too far. The "Autumn Anarchy" Skin? It's a compromise and tribute to both. I don't why I am trying to help out because this event pissed me off and I don't stand a chance of getting the Autumn Anarchy Skin anyway as I didn't win! Oh come on... This event has already screwed everyone else up already! Right now we're just trying to find ways to make this most fair as possible. ...Again I just want to thank Little Orbit for their time and consideration, Gamersfirst wouldn't of listened this much this time last year.

I agree with everything you say so far but I don't feel that the Butcher Skin is a right thing. A new exclusive skin would only be fair for everyone i feel. My suggestion is the honourable winners get a second new variant of the Autumn assault skin But with a Butcher skin twist as a compromise: This skin would be based off the American Red Maple tree. It's quite the striking colour and it would be a tribute to both the Butcher Skin and Autumn Assault.

I see where you're coming from and I do get the feelings coming from Zero but I can empathise and relate to what he is saying when he has won honourably and already his exclusive rewards is not quite as exclusive. In the past I won 3D glasses from LadyTiggs from a player event but those 3D glasses were later released to Armas, Welp... That reward reduced to that of being on a Black Friday sale as a cheap accessory, it's insulting as heart breaking. ...yeah oops... The butcher skin was kept exclusive and now the Autumn Assault skin is at risk of losing it's exclusivity already too. @MattScott I'm sorry for this inconvenience but again some further thought is needed into this. There is a element of precedent there... I would recommend giving a month's period of cooldown time before redistributing any skins... but we have christmas coming up fast. Joker Mystery Boxes would not be a fitting reward to the honourable winners, It would be a rather hollow gesture.

With all due respect, while I was only able to play the once day, 2 out of 3 games ended prematurely because the game crashed for me. For many, they were ROBBED of a win because of other players not willing to yield to others after already winning once despite request of GMs. That's the issue, that potential affects everyone else.

I completely agree that those who did win honourably should get a new gun skin or some other reward if the Autumn Assault skin in released to all that participated. But we have to accept that we're may be starting to push thing a bit far now and this is more work for staff that isn't needed. While I was fuming, I am not a person to take an mile when given an inch. ...saying that, I voted for no anyway so that's more reflecting on me and the fact I didn't win... I think it's only fair if the Autumn Assault is released then some consideration is needed for the winners but I don't know how well Little Orbit may be able to distinguish honourable and dishonourable wins.

This is about everyone who participated because of the experience regardless of winning or not. Anyone can have a say as people outside but didn't participate may have a valid and constructive point to bring which others may not see without an outside perspective. Now what happens to the winners is a subject maybe for another time, but right now the topic is about what can be done for everyone that took part and didn't win with event being flawed in the eyes of many including maybe some staff.

I do not doubt for a second that this event was gone in good faith but delivered in poor implementation, But hind sight is 20/20. Thank you Matt, I am pleased to hear the explanation of the intentions and reasons for the Event. Also it is very reassuring that lessons will and have been learnt. I'm sure Little Orbit can draw their own conclusion about how to conduct a effective and fun GM event, and one hopes that they will do one again in the future. There is more I could say but... it just wasn't fun and a part of me regrets trying to participate at all. In regards to the skin, Personally the skin isn't worth the frustration and time spent writing the feedback, or trying to submit the crash reports... I don't care for the skin, Just please don't make these mistakes with future GM events... I know you are not stupid and never intended for this Little Orbit. ... ...I'm just going to leave it at that, I don't want to talk about it anymore...

@Lixil Quite the PR clean up to do, I am most curious what was the objectives of this event in Little Orbit's Eyes? Maybe this is a question for @MattScott On my one day off I got that allowed me to get online in time for the event. My computer crashed twice, The second game crash cause the computer screen to become frozen with Task Manager stuck hiding behind the APB window. I had no choice but to not only relaunch the game but to do a complete restart of my computer. ...my only day off which i could do this event and i missed it, No other game mode in any other districts at any other time in 2018 had been that bad. This event has highlighted some of the worse parts of the player base. The event wasn't just an exclusive reward but it feels like an exclusive event to even play in with such a small time frame the game mode is active. A last minute change to the reward was also a disappointment but saying that it would of also been disappointing another exclusive was to be re-released, I will say you did the right thing there but is foolish oversight! I have to say this because it just is ridiculous... as professional as it was; it's naive to presume, expect or anticipate people on the internet will do something you ask of them as a polite request, when they can have a good laugh at everyone else's expense in ruining a time limited game with an exclusive reward. They are just going to make a mockery of you and to everyone else. I've really admired the hard work everyone at Little Orbit has done in such a small amount of time, the interactions with the player base has felt sincere, empathetic and integral. You really are trying to embrace the culture and address the issues of APB. But what the heck was this?! Now I don't want compensation and I don't the gun skin. I just want to know... WHAT WERE YOU THINKING? Because it comes across strongly that there wasn't much thinking going on. What was the Aims and Objectives of Autumn Assault in the eyes of Little Orbit? Even if you can't tell me what the aims and objectives were, What was achieved by this event?

You say we're ignoring the problem and disregarding you, I tried to be civil but yeah, I do consider what you say an exaggeration now because I'be been with APB since RTW as well and the experience I've had is surprisingly different than the you share. You may be right on some issues but the way you go about them is wrong, It only undermines your good points. I mean no one else that is rational has broken forum rules multiple times and sh-t talked Little Orbit because of a few games. ...and you can't seriously blame Little Orbit for the previous years of GamerFirst's lack of care anyway as they've not been here a year. There will always be cheating but this is a problem with/for you and not many others are kicking no where near as much of a fuss.

I'm not saying APB is realistic but how feasible is it for some local gangsters to steal a SWAT or riot truck? Especially when these vehicles are not just armoured but carry armed personnel that actively practice their shooting skills on a nearly daily basis, not to mention that these wouldn't be just parked in the car park of the police station unlocked like in GTA. It is just easier for criminals to steal or buy the materials to build an armoured vehicles one would of thought. It just doesn't make sense to me how a criminal could just get their hands on a full armoured or tactical gear pack like in Armas randomly, besides no honour amongst thieves. Maybe I'm over thinking things but I just feel that some things are just not appropriate for cross faction but there should be more... just not everything cross faction because I hear it a lot that everything should be to which then begs the question what is the point of the lore and factions and the entire game it's just an free for all.

Yeah, I suspected it was just retaliation. Enforcer light on vehicles and cop uniform are unlocked with cop rank. As I said before, most enfs find it a grind and frustrating am doing, only trolls use LTL when not trying to get cop rank up. For double the delay to crim respawn, it is double the risk to enfs to make the arres. Enfs have a reason and incentive to do arrests but crime don't.

For what rewards?

Thank you for this and all the work you done, I won't deny it is an incredible frustrating time with growing pain of LittleOrbit and cynicism from GamersFirst shadow. People keep forgetting or don't realise at times that LittleOrbit hasn't been here for a full year yet. Multiple people have tried explaining that the First Amendment doesn't work this way on other threads. At that point I came to the conclusion that either he was ignoring every reply, is in denial or a is a straight up troll. We have also explained that they need to read the rules because ToS is being violated. It is not our job to moderate but goodness it's hard to ignore someone like this untill you realise they're not listening and the energy is just being wasted. You're just frustrating everyone else and not helping the situation with cheaters, Cut the staff a break because they are working on it and it's not as simple as hitting the ban button because there are going to be EVEN more people frustrated if they get this wrong and ban innocent people. Rome wasn't built in a day. His words are that of professional customer service with integrity, I doubt Matt Scott is planning to run for President 2020. He's doing his job. If you can't accept the consequences of your free speech then expect more consequences of it! For someone that doesn't care, you keep coming back complaining about cheating in game. If it is that bad then why don't you take a few month break and play other games because clearly APB is not worth it if cheating is so bad that you feel compelled to break the rules of the forum too.

Real Time Worlds needed a way method for Enforcers to get arrest as part of their cop rank. Criminals do not have an equivalent to getting arrests and so a weapon that only stuns would be redundant anyway. Criminals have Mugger and Survivor roles instead? Little Orbit said that it is working on something of a parallel for criminals but any enforcer who has max cop rank will tell you that it is more of a risk and burden as stunning a opponent is only half the job and chances are that their stun will either be taken by someone else, the stunned is shot dead of you yourself are shot dead while making the arrest. The long time before respawn is to allow other crims to get their survivor role... but it seems criminals would rather not deal with the long respawn to care. ...I don't know why i am telling your this because faction exclusive weapons would be nice if they were just skins of guns their opponents but then there would be an arguement for cross faction for that too. While I like and agree with giving people choice, can we have SOMETHING faction exclusive.
