I think console is already using different UI than what PC version currently has. Also the current UIs (Kismet and Scaleform) need to be replaced anyway if they are to continue into UE4 after UE3.5, since neither seem to be no longer really a thing in UE4 which is the long-term goal engine-wise. (I might be talking from my butt, so please feel free to correct me - Kismet/Scaleform/Blueprint discussion is something that flies way above my head)

It achieves nothing. It just makes people to bleed out their hearts and use every insult they can figure out just to try insult someone who's no longer around, at least not under that name anyway. There is also large portion amongst cheaters who specificly go looking for notoriety and FeelsBadMan-posts they get mentioned in - that's their fap material. They shouldn't be given fap material. When someone is banned, he/she is banned. End of story. Any public discussion about it is unnecessary and pointless if the bans are done right and with adequate proof.

I'm also curious about this, but given what Matt said in the Q&A, they weren't planning any "bash it with hammer" approaches but some sublte surgical changes to few weapons. Time will tell how it turns out.

1: Observe. See what they are doing. Look at their placement, the weapons they've chosen and how they use elements on the map as cover. 2: Understand. Try to understand the whys. Why you failed? Why they were there? Why you were there? Why they did what they did? Why did it work? 3: Adapt. Adjust your gameplay with what you've seen and learned. See how it affects things. Keep evolving untill you find things that'll work for you. Repeat 1-3 untill you get results. Beyond that, just it's practice practice practice to get the feel how you can push the weapons to their absolute limit.

While some of that drivel is still relevant, I don't see the point of posting it. It's yet another thread about cheating, which is not going to achieve anything positive.

Suddenly: APB happens

My 2 cents on green-ish text. Charge less JT and more APB$ and it's fixed. Currently you can't get enough JTs in a week to keep even half-decent arsenal at your disposal.

That is a mind-boggling amount of applicants. I'm amazed. Specially given the average daily online pop. I'm guessing it'll take some time and effort to filter them out and get it down to reasonable amount of candidates.

If APB were to be allowed become ADULT ONLY instead of being just MATURE, it would seriously hurt the commerical potential in the US of A.

Not knowing how deep the male/female division runs in the code, it might not even be technically possible at the moment. Also it might be a slight problem that all clothing is gender-specific. You'd lose ability to wear everything in your locker.

I'm lost and can't find the point this thread is trying to make... The client has a "naughty word filter" you can turn on and off, beyond that you're pretty free to express yourself within some pretty loose boundaries. If you want more explicit content than what APB currently provides, you should go check second life. It might be more up your alley.

We should rethink or just reverse the districts. The current normal "mission" districts with threats n stuff could be renamed "competitive" since the threat mechanincs kinda makes it somewhat competitive by default (things that affect threat would require some adjustment). Current "open conflict" has pretty much all the elements of "casual" already in (since it doesn't give threat any thoughts and you don't gain or lose threat when you play there) so why not call it "casual". Maybe put a very simplified matchmaking in there so that 4 gold premades don't get 4 random solo queued green/silver/bronze threats as opp and then call it a day. Put some simple weekly stats and leaderboards up somewhere online for competitive districts and throw in some joke boxes as rewards.

Given the amount of death delt daily on the streets of San Paro, I find it curious that there is no graveyard... and I've never seen a hearse.

I sometimes feel like 25% of my office days (when I'm doing truck dispatching / load management AND customer service at the same time) are wasted on waiting for X to load or start responding again. And unlike a game, I just can't call it a day if I feel frustrated. If I'm having bad time in the game, I can just close it and do something else instead. Why US server has / gets so much more trouble than EU server is interesting to say the least.

My 2 cents: try to pick people who are fluent in more than just one language. Players who struggle most with the game are often those who also struggle with english.

I guess having 100+fps is also a cheat and gives me unfair advantage against people who play on a potato which barely runs at 20fps?? What's the next "this must be cheat bann" thread going to be?
