  1. Adding my voice to the ongoing list of people who are wondering why the premium cooldown reduction feature is still a thing. Everyone should have this by default, the current non-premium cooldowns are gamebreaking for free players.
  2. If you go peruse APB:Dbv2, you can already see there's additional entries for all the legendaries that show that's how they're going to handle it. MattScott also mentioned something along similar lines, but it wasn't a specific statement of intent (more just "we have plans, if it becomes necessary" kind of thing).
  3. It deals 250 damage, this is an important distinction to make. You can't just truncate the 0, as there are plenty of weapons that have a 5 there. For example, the OBIR deals 165 damage per bullet (up to 495 damage per shot). Low-Yield Fragmentation Grenades deal 575 damage. The JG deals 85 damage with the initial pellet, up to 775 potential damage if every pellet lands. Etc. All that being said, I agree that the Harbinger should receive a change... and personally, I'd love to see that change in the form of a special mod that changes how it behaves based on marksmanship mode (along similar lines to Thumper and Thunder). While in marksmanship mode: Increase damage Increase accuracy loss per shot Increase accuracy recovery rate Reduce recoil Reduce fire rate Reduce accuracy recovery delay While hipfiring: Increase fire rate Reduce range Increase recoil Increase recoil further per shot No longer loses accuracy per shot Basically, I envision that it would be competitively viable in both modes, and both modes feeding a playstyle aesthetic. Marksmanship would be slower, but much harder hitting than RSA gameplay... while hipfiring would cater even more to the already preexisting cowboy hammer-fanning fantasy (which sadly doesn't work currently, because its hipfire is atrociously terribad).
  4. Assuming the obvious conditionals are set (funding, resources, dev teams, time, etc), so that either option would be assured success... it'd be better if they just rebuilt the game from the ground up. The upgrade to UE3.5 is going to be nice, and the port to UE4 will be even better... but the game is just broken on the core level and that's going to forever hinder its true potential.
  5. This really shouldn't be surprising, if you actually take a step back and look at these past few months objectively.
  6. You're welcome to believe whatever you wish to. No loss to me. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
  7. It's somewhere in the first week of posts, I cba to go digging for something so inconsequential in the most active time of this forum's existence.
  8. Sales will start happening again after the ARMAS overhaul, which is slated to happen after Unification is complete. MattScott directly stated this.
  9. I actually like this idea a lot. The limit would need to be set on an individual basis though (Resupply Box should have fewer uses than Med Spray, for example). That being said, I feel like it would be better to tie the usage count to a given mission stage, rather than the mission as a whole. There's so many missions, and they have such vastly different lengths and content that a single global limit wouldn't be able to be balanced against them all.
  10. The only packs that have temporary weapons are the "bonus packs" and the very early packs with the unique CR-5 and N-TEC.
  11. At the very least APB$, as there's no longer any legitimate gameplay reason/excuse to not do so. Due to the new trading having no system tax, you can already now transfer any quantity of APB$ between your characters with no loss. Letting us simply mail it (or having it be held in an "account wallet" or some such that all characters pull from) would just remove that unnecessary and technically risky middle step.
  12. Alternatively, do what the community has requested since consumables were first implemented... and make them an activated mod with a cooldown rather than a stack of items that continues to cause problems for players despite several inventory modifications and space increases for them.
  13. It's still a hot mess, devs still use the same tired excuses (despite they themselves proving said excuses empty, repeatedly). Content is on a repeating cycle that never changes (despite constant community request for easily implemented quality of life improvements). They continuously seesaw the difficulty "curve" resulting in abyssal drops and brick wall spikes, often patch to patch, which leads to massive increases in community discontent and all the gameplay disruptions that come with that. Etc etc etc. The game's actually playable and up to modern standards, YoshiP and crew definitely saved it and it's still an incredibly fun game (why else would I still be subbed)... but don't kid yourself that it doesn't still bleed problems from every orifice imaginable. Maybe they'll do an engine upgrade of their own someday, so that the game isn't forever held back by Luminous...
  14. Aside from the fact that the devs literally nuked it from existence because of how horrifically terribad it was?
  15. Been here since before the start, and have always thought the ammo inventory mechanic was garbage. There goes your theory.
  16. It's been a solidly outdated business practice for years, only bad games (or greedy devs) still cling to limited binding designs. The only reason APB gets a pass is because of how old it is, but it's something they can (and need) to rectify after Unification (ideally alongside the ARMAS overhaul, take care of everything at once).
  17. Not going to happen. MattScott has specifically clarified that they won't be dropping the Gamersfirst branding. Absolutely insane decision, and ultimately dooms the future potential of the game, but it is what it is.
  18. Tagger would be completely fine, as would any mod's rank one version. The core reason that Fang is so overpowered is simply because it uses rank three.
  19. Haven't noticed the first thing at all, consistently shows up for me. Second thing sounds like a good thing to me, radar should only show you when you're actively taking radar-triggering actions. Last thing this game needs is even more vanilla wallhacks.
  20. There was a moderate shitstorm from the Fight Club players, and MattScott himself stated they've changed their plans accordingly. Fight Club will remain, unchanged, even after Battle Royale's release.
  21. Radar itself works fine and how it's always worked, not sure what you're referencing here. I still hold the belief that every gun's silencer should just work that way. It's a silencer after all, it should make you harder to detect.
  22. Most of the people who actually came back from that (myself included), are likely those who already have investment in the game. For example I love the game despite its flaws, not to mention the thousands I've spent on it. The only reason I left back then was because Tiggs is a raging Removed Inappropriate language ~@mayii. Then there's the thousands of unbanned accounts, plenty of which are players who still frequent the forums after their bans... obviously they'll "return". The rest of the people who "came back" are just fresh new players, brought in by the circulating news about the takeover. Curiosity, basically.
