map alterations are very time consuming and/or difficult because every actual building or road has to be custom made as there's no real "map editor" for apb, the original devs were basically pioneering online open world gameplay afaik technical stuff aside each new block also has to be balanced and conform to apbs design philosophy, with the block itself being like a mini deathmatch arena and (theoretically, because apbs maps arent actually perfectly balanced) while also acting as a balance for the surrounding blocks i assume these are the reasons why riot map changes were 99% just adding props to the existing map, and those changes still werent very good lol

it might not be bad for some, but for many (myself included) i'd imagine no amount of g1c back would make up for hundreds to thousands of character/car/symbol/theme creation getting nuked good way to lose the actual playing playerbase before any attempt can be made to fix the game and get new players lol

theres always a meta, the only way to prevent meta weapons is to remove weapons completely smg the oca whisper (or reskin) and pmg (or reskin) are the easiest to use, but if you dont mind a slightly higher skill requirement id say the troublemaker is probably the best smg atm lmg the euryale is the best by a large margin, but if you dont want to spend 500usd for the loyalty reward then youll have to buy joker tickets from armas to purchase the stheno (f2p variant) from the joker store the swarm is the next best, being decent at nuking vehicles and people honorable mention to the nssw if you want an lmg that is essentially just a bigger assault rifle secondary the free starter fbw is still tied with the colby .45 for best secondary, the fbw is more forgiving of errors while the .45 has the best overall performance if you have the skill act44 for long range nano for ease of use although youll have to buy joker tickets to use in the joker store, same as with the stheno i feel i should point out that neither smgs or lmgs are really the absolute best picks if youre looking to really sweat it out

they should do a full account wipe before pushing the engine upgrade to live, just to make sure no one is happy

if a player can connect to the game then a player can grab the server ip afaik theres probably some kind of pass-through/redirect service available but id assume that would introduce more latency for the legitimate players

iirc the limit exists because some of the more notorious cheaters had a way to spam people with hundreds to thousands of emails with attachments (time consuming to get rid of)

unless the game is still shit, then its just 20-30k people being shown why they should never try apb for themselves

seems like a weird thing to do when the console builds are all ports from the pc build

i kinda like that idea maybe make it a medium item, activating it will proc instant regen start but you have to actually be holding it to receive the 100% regen increase

well have a quick burst of people coming back to check out the infamous engine upgrade finally being released, but if orbit doesnt start fixing big issues pretty fast afterwards then no one is going to stick around and play the new engine with the same old gameplay flaws i also think orbit should hold off on really advertising the engine upgrade release, 99% certain "patch day" will be absolutely unplayable

thats not what theyre doing no, the plan was to have a bunch of regional servers that anyone can connect to so that characters will no longer be "locked" in the server chosen during character creation

preventing people who are willing to play from playing outweighs maybe (because who needs a vpn when you can just reset your router for a different ip) stopping some cheaters from rerolling you dont use anticheats that false ban people even if they also ban cheaters, why would orbit choose to essentially do the same thing here?
