where are you getting this info from? considering it’s possible to get gold without ever firing a weapon and at one point a player with no hands was consistently gold, i think it’s safe to say the threshold is relatively low

is there even a need for this discussion anymore? orbit has made its plans pretty clear for the future of the threat system

this has been the plan since the week 1 Q&A session, i don't think anyone will be surprised by this

it could just be my experience but to me a private server means a bunch of people who agree with the admins or get banned, which isn't really a good business model for most publicly available games imo further supported by you comparing yourself to someone who illegally made hundreds of thousands of dollars (and was also a generally shitty person iirc) that aside, assuming your server is an rpg shooter it seems weird that you would purposely make matchmaking a nightmare and remove a majority of the progression rewards googling your ign was not fun, all i found was a youtube channel with 48 subs

if you arent interested in discussion then why bother posting at all tbh, should have just DM'd this garbage to mattscott or one of the other staff fronting your "solutions" to several of the largest apb issues as perfect and untouchable only makes it less likely for anyone (including orbit probably) to actually take it seriously

i think that was the point of this section while i do think that the state of riot on jericho (and even citadel tbh) speaks for itself, it is important to remember that the forums are a very small percentage of even the active playerbase

idk at a certain point it’s just preference the way i look at it is fc has all the problems that normal apb has, whereas riot has all the normal apb problems plus riot specific problems - just too many issues for me personally

agreed but that still leaves us with a newer player having to replace carspawner, a mod so necessary/important that progression was changed to include it at the very beginning, over happy landings

as of the last info g1 gave us on the threat system, the larger the gap between two opponents threats the less a higher threat player will “upthreat” from winning or the more they’ll dethreat from losing so even a lower win rate in silver should theoretically increase threat faster and increase threat higher than a higher win rate in bronze

it’s not like happy landings is a necessary mod, compared to having to replace car spawner and changing car surfer to a vehicle mod won’t do much if it’s still r195

i could believe that, i know several people who just pop into fc for a match or two as a warmup before missions - compared to waiting for riot to start and the length of the actual matches plus fc isn’t anything new, people who don’t like it are well aware that they don’t like it, compared to riot getting 40% of the active population trying it out
