  1. Hi all, Unfortunately, as has been my continuing experience with APB, the devil is always in the details. Our QA team turned up a significant problem late today with the migration, and I need to delay this just a little longer. At this point, once we have all the kinks sorted, we’ll notify everyone of the down time and do the merge that evening on Citadel’s off time. Thanks, Matt
  2. Hi there, This is a frustrating bug, and it has been equally frustrating to fix. We are working on it. Thanks, Matt
  3. Hi there, We are working with Vivox on this issue, but we have gotten mixed feedback from players on whether it is working again or not. Can you retest? Thanks, Matt
  4. We adjusted the drop rate for xbox JMBs too. But JMB21 and JMB22 are not yet supported on console till we get an update approved.
  5. Edit: these are not coming over in the merge because they are not available to the general public.
  6. There was some confusion with 4Games initially, because they claimed they had sent all the data. I pointed out we have character and account data, but not financial data. This took a couple messages back and forth to clarify what I was looking for, but once I explained that I am looking for all the financial transactions for each account, they denied my request. I cannot explain why you were able to get these transactions. They told me the data does not exist and that their IT group could not restore it from a backup.
  7. Hi all, I appreciate Cookie pointing out the actual rules, as he understands them. I’m not honestly sure if we are obligated to disclose the odds or not, but it’s the right thing to do, and I’m glad publishers are supporting this effort. I acknowledge the awkward timing of my decision with the new requirement from Microsoft and Sony. Sometimes you just can’t move fast enough. We had already launched JMB 22 with a significantly different drop rate for the New Glory to see what kind of impact it would make. We went from .5% up to .8%. Based on the reports I was given, I felt we could do better. The news on loot box requirements simply forced us to announce the change sooner than later. Thanks, Matt
  8. You are welcome to believe what you want. Nothing I say will convince you otherwise. However, I had a very public exchange with 4Game, when I told the Russian APB community that I had reached out many times and been ignored. 4Game initially accused me of lying, and then had to retract that statement when I produced all of the emails and attempts to reach them. From there, I continued to work with them and ask for the financial records until they finally rejected my request. I was told it had been too long and those records are now missing and cannot be restored off any backups. As I have said in the past, I know this is an imperfect solution. The Nekrova server population is too small to properly support the game. Our current solution gives away a total of 22 million dollars in G1C to Russian players in an effort to try and help as best as we can. This is the best I can do without the financial data. Sorry, Matt
  9. I edited the post to reflect that these changes are live. We are working on new systems so that we can remove JMBs entirely, but that is a much more tricky thing to remove from APB. Yes. We will be posting the odds on the JMB ARMAS pages.
  10. Hi all, If you haven't seen the news, Microsoft and Sony will be requiring us to disclose the drop rates for loot boxes. https://www.theverge.com/2019/8/7/20758626/nintendo-microsoft-sony-loot-box-drop-rate-disclosure-video-games Previously Joker Mystery Boxes had a legendary drop rate of .5% (1 in 200). However when we launched the New Glory, I wanted to make the drop rate more common, so we increased the rate to .8% (1 in 125). Effective immediately, I am making the decision to standardize the legendary drop rate across all JMBs to 1% (1 in 100) across all platforms. We will also be following Microsoft and Sony's guidelines to be posting that information publicly for all players to read before they purchase them. These changes are live. Now before I get flooded with messages asking for refunds, please understand that we can't do that. This is just one more way that we are attempting to reduce abusive monetization practices. We have already improved the G1C currency exchange, lowered pricing on ARMAS, and more recently added 80+ guns to the Joker Store so that players can now get permanent guns with Joker Tickets. I appreciate all the players that purchased JMBs over the years. Thanks, Matt
  11. Hi all, I have previously posted about the Nekrova migration and our compensation plan for those players. You can read about it here: Apologies for how long it took to get this done. This migration is a bit complicated. However we are finally done testing, and the migration is scheduled to be completed on August 14th. Thanks, Matt
  12. Hi everyone, There are now 662 total tickets (unsolved) this continues to rise as more players have gained confidence in actually opening tickets or need help getting back into the game. And there are 497 tickets that have not been touched (untouched). Today we are answering tickets from July 26th, which means even with the rise in tickets, we are continuing to hold at a 2 week response time. If your ticket is older than July 26th, and we have not reached out, then I recommend updating your ticket and asking for status. Thanks, Matt
  13. Hi there, Reading through this thread, I like the idea of splitting up the clothing off Social contacts so they can be usable pieces for players. Previous replies are correct: the Social contacts have a different setup so those assets wont come directly across, but I believe they can be adapted. Personally, I'm a fan of Double B's double shotgun harness... possibly Akiko's katana harness. Thanks, Matt
  14. Hi all, The PSN authentication issue has been solved. Servers are back online. Thanks, Matt
  15. Hi all, Sorry for the delay. ARMAS has been refreshed. Thanks, Matt
  16. Hi all, Both Jericho and Citadel have been restarted. We had a runaway database issue that ended up hanging both worlds. Both are back online and running smoothly now. We will keep monitoring them. Thanks, Matt
  17. Hi all, We are back up. This wasn't a district, world, or even login server issue. We are prepping some items for later this week, and our primary database got overloaded with requests. Took some time to unpack everything and verify backups, in order to make sure we didn't lose anything. Thanks, Matt
  18. Hi there, We are fixing this now. Thanks, Matt
  19. Hi there, We're fixing this now. Thanks, Matt
  20. Hi all, We're fixing the issue with some game features and logging in. Servers should be up shortly. Thanks, Matt
  21. Hi all, Alas, we will not be hearing Selali’s silky tones. Both contacts were already recorded before we took over, but I’ll see if I can find the actor credits. Thanks, Matt
  22. Hi everyone, There are now 582 total tickets (unsolved). And there are 414 tickets that have not been touched (untouched). Today we are answering tickets from July 19th, which means we are at about a 2 week response time. If your ticket is older than July 19th, and we have not reached out, then I recommend updating your ticket and asking for status. Thanks, Matt
  23. JULY 2019 UP & COMING NEW CONTACTS ARE COMING WITH THE ENGINE UPGRADE In his monthly blog, Matt shared progress on the Engine Upgrade and details for Lucas Van Rooyen & Lynette Casey. These two new henchmen will be Tier 3 Waterfront contacts adding 10 more ranks on PC, XB1, and PS4. Both act as fixers for their faction supplying new gear and weapons. Matt also spoiled their major new reward: The EMP Grenade This will be a brand-new unlockable alternative to other grenade options. When thrown, instead of a regular explosion, the grenade will trigger an Electromagnetic Pulse effect that will last for a certain duration. Anything electronic in the radius of that field will be affected until it dissipates. It was designed specifically to combat players getting into vehicles to avoid taking damage / regenerate health and postpone the fight. MORE DETAILS HIGHLIGHTS As you may have noticed over the last month or so, on the PC we have been slowly changing the 7-day rental guns to permanent purchases in the Joker Store. Effective today, all 88 Joker Ticket store guns are now permanent items. Additionally, we have removed all APB$ cost to these weapons, standardized cost across the entire line, and have introduced our first pass at naming conventions to help players understand what they are purchasing. Over the coming weeks we will be soliciting player feedback to help tune the weapon names further. MORE DETAILS ARMAS STEALS & DEALS THE NEW KABUKI WEAPON SKIN COLLECTION IS HERE FOR PC! Players can now collect all three Japanese themed weapon skins on ARMAS: Yakuza, Dragon, and Koi. The Yakuza and Dragon skins were already available as free RIOT rewards, and we have added the Koi skin for RIOT contact level 15. But just in case you missed them, all three are now available for purchase. SHOP ARMAS
