Pretty much what Fortune Runner said. You just can't accept that your idea is bad and won't work. If everyone has provided counter points consistently and you receive multiple downvotes on all of your posts, then that's a sign that you're just wrong. You're just in denial. Again, your idea would only hurt the game at a faster rate than the cheaters. If your boycott idea was carried out, then we would be losing players due to both cheaters and because it would be a lot harder to get opposition due to the reduced player count. People would just quit because they can't get an opposed match anymore, and they probably won't come back just because they heard cheaters are gone after the amount of time it would take LO to react to the boycott. It's not something that can be fixed instantly or even completely. At this point I don't think the community could recover from something like that considering how few of us there are now.

Yes please. I'd love to lift the Pioneer or Vegas to the height they used to be. Maybe have independent heights per axle? That way you could give the Vegas a more aggressive stance or something.

Here, I'm going to try and help you to understand. You can complain about cheaters all you want, that's just fine and I have no problem with it. That's not what we take issue with. The problem here is your methods of achieving what you want. Your whole "Boycott LO if they don't do what I say" method is the problem. Here's the thing about APB, it has never generated profits except maybe to G1 up until its peak in 2013 considering how low of a price they bought it for. But ever since the game has cost more to run than the amount of money it brings in. Taking that into consideration, is a boycott really the logical solution? All that would do is push them into debt for not being able to solve the impossible task of making the game 100% cheater free. What you are proposing would be directly detrimental to the game because of the lost revenue and if it went far enough could mean the shut down of APB altogether. Then what would you do? Of course this is all hypothetical because nobody supports your idea and would join in on the boycott.

You're acting like we aren't just calling out your stupid idea. That's really all its about, it doesn't go any deeper than that. Your idea is bad. We all hate cheaters, you're just too dense to understand that boycotting a company that already is making no profit would more quickly put them under than cheaters could drive everyone away. Not to mention that this would be the absolute WORST time to do this considering all the shit LO is going through right now.

Do you even remember the FFBans site? That was more toxic than a nuclear waste dump, and the toxicity leaked into the game. People started cheating on new accounts with offensive names just to get banned and have it broadcasted. Some cheaters used it as an ego boost so they could get their 5 seconds of fame from their name being broadcasted. It was just a bad idea.

I'm not siding with the cheaters, I hate them as much as anyone else. I'm just against really idiotic ideas that would only hurt the ones that are trying to help us. Obviously not if you don't remember seeing the dozens of speed hackers daily, none of which are present today. Not saying that there are no cheaters, I know there are, but its not as bad as it used to be my a mile.

I just said it was a stupid idea. APB dying is the last thing I'd ever want. You've got to be insane to think that there were less cheaters in the FF days than now. We've also had more communication from the devs than ever before regarding the development of the game. What you're suggesting would hurt the game more than a couple of cheaters ever would.

Started passing the news to some VRChat friends and kept hearing a lot of "Oh shit I forgot about that game" in the background from a bunch of bystanders who overheard. I also managed to overhear some nostalgic conversations about it afterwards, it was pretty nice to see.

Not 100% recent but here's this: This is from before Matt made any stance on the visual direction of the engine upgrade though. I think I remember him saying something about a lot of people liking what the game used to look like so they were going to steer in that direction or something like that.
