  1. Vehicle Mod: Super Charger Increases vehicle top speed by 15% Decreases vehicle health by 15% Equal Health/Speed trade offs feel fair to me. Fast vehicles are fairly weak, so they would take a bigger risk with this mod than a slower tankier one would.
  2. Yup it's very possible. I've gotten a few of my characters into the game as well as Brittney Bloodrose, Tiptoe, Trick, and Treat. My main VRChat avatar is a cat costume that I made in APB and did some heavy editing to in blender.
  3. While I would seriously love to see Midtown actually become a thing, compare these two maps. They look pretty similar right? Based on what I've learned from messing around with these maps I think the way these images were made is just by taking a top down screenshot with the buildings removed, because all of these shapes in the Financial map are built into the ground materials. So maybe they had the flat plane with the layout for the buildings for Midtown, but not the actual buildings themselves saved into the Midtown map file. A lot of the buildings in Financial were made for Midtown, particularly the run down apartment blocks and smaller buildings, but for whatever reason were transplanted to Financial. To me, it looks like Midtown would either be roughly the same size, or slightly smaller than Financial based on the size of the roads. I'd totally be in favor of them using the old road layout of Midtown, but would hope that they would make new building assets for it. Just a neat little side note: That map of Financial is from way back when the overpass was still fully intact. Imagine how boring that would have been. No breaks or jumps, just a flowing overpass with regular on and off ramps instead of collapsed sections.
  4. I don't think Matt has ever mentioned Midtown except when he said he opened it and said that there's really no salvageable map there. He never said it was twice as big as financial. Midtown turned into Financial. He did say when he took over that he would like to add a new map, but didn't specify what it was or that the UE4 upgrade needed to happen first.
  5. lol took me a second to figure out what was going on. At first it just looked like you were screen pointing with a cell phone, but then I realized that you were playing APB on a PC in VR. It's neat, but it looks painful to play. If you want see APB in VR I have a Waterfront map in VRChat. It's not done and horribly unoptimized at the moment but there's a few drivable cars scattered around. If you ever want to pop in and check it out I could give you a join link. Just don't look toward the Villaneuva unless you wanna puke from the frame rate dropping.
  6. Alrighty, Cherokee gassed up and ready to go
  7. It's most likely just supposed to be something achieved over a long period of time and not one that you're supposed to do a mad dash towards. Also gotta remember that originally chop shopping cars was more relevant than it is now since the game used to depend on open world stuff to trigger missions n' stuff. So it's most likely just a leftover from the original system. Oh and that's Yood by the way. So watch out if you're rude to him you'll regret it Probably just gonna tk you in game like he does to me.
  8. My vote is for a "Rocket Man" mod. When you die, your body shoots straight up into the air for about 40 meters and explodes causing the same effect as the flare gun version of tagger. Jokes aside, as far as cars go I'd like to see something like a 1930s Lincoln Zephyr
  9. Just thought of something else I'd like to see happen to Fight Club. Contact progression. That way you pretty much level up your FC contact by just playing. They should have more levels than standard contacts, but they don't count towards the player's main rank. They are there simply to unlock unique FC themed rewards for just playing fight club. This would mean that they need to add two contacts to Baylan too, which could just be two characters that are briefly mentioned in the lore but were never shown. Or some random contacts similar to Tiptoe's brood who don't really have any relevance but look the part.
  10. The console version's post processing looks pretty different, and textures aren't just solid colors
  11. Personally I'd like to see Asylum finished and the docks opened up. That area is pretty much finished and fully functional with working ladders and doors, there's just that damn locked gate keeping us out.
  12. At this point I'm actually pretty curious how many separate teams they have. The ones we know of are the Engine Upgrade team, Riot team, Art team (working on the visuals for the EU), The Australian team that's working on the Unreal 4 rebuild(or APB 2 as Matt refers to it), and that's about all I can think of off the top of my head. What Matt calls APB2 isn't a sequel or anything, it's just easier to call it that than "The Unreal 4 Ground Up Rebuild".
  13. They have separate teams working on different aspects of the game. The Engine Upgrade crew isn't working on Riot. I agree though, good patch this time around. The permanent .45 was a really good choice for the Joker Store.
  14. 4.1 ghz should be good, I run the game alright on a 3.4
  15. Not enough brown and grey and the bloom and the vignette isn't harsh enough. Now THIS is what an old PS3 game would look like. Lets just be happy it didn't turn out looking like THAT. Those visuals are good for a trailer but would be fucking terrible to deal with when actually trying to play.
  16. Never had much luck with the Hunter, and the skin is just fugly.
  17. How many gHz is the processor? That's the really important thing with running APB. To be honest it's really hard to predict any system's FPS with APB. APB either likes your PC or it doesn't.
  18. I'd like car surfing to return to how it originally was. When you didn't need a mod, but needed a little bit of skill to stay on the roof. If I remember correctly, before Car Surfer was implemented you could car surf if you had the skill to stay on the roof and you wouldn't just slide off like the roof is buttered. As it is right now, you can just stand on the roof with no issues like you're just magnetized to it if you have the mod equipped. Before the mod existed you would have to move in the direction that the car is moving to stay on board. So if the car steers and you move in the direction the car is turning then you're fine, but if you don't make the adjustment then you fall off. So if we were to go back to that way of doing it then I'd love to see the mod removed. It's insanely stupid that riding on the roof of a car is restricted to R195+ characters. And now that fight club has a requirement of R30+ brand new characters just won't be able to get the JT's to get it from the joker store. This isn't even a "think of the newbies!" complaint from me, it just makes sense. Also with having to move to stay on, it forces you to have slightly reduced accuracy while shooting, depending on the weapon. Currently there is absolutely no downside to the mod and I see that as a problem.
  19. Oh god I hope for your own sake that was a joke. I have a friend who had a lot of shooter experience from CSGO, and when he picked up APB for the first time aiming was just second nature to him and it only took him about a day to get his situational awareness at a decent level and a little longer to get used to the menus and inventory. He went gold pretty quick and never dipped back into silver. Granted he only played for probably about a month before he got into other games, but the point still stands that you can just pick up the game and go gold as long as you have shooter experience.
  20. Well, I mean you're one of the very few who like the current, gross cold look of the game more than when it was actually warm and pretty.
  21. You're not entitled to list of banned players just because you play the game.
  22. They Fixed one broken secondary and a while later they release a pretty good secondary from jmb. Ketog wasn't lying. It's pretty fucking obvious by just seeing how that gun functioned that it wasn't supposed to be like that. G1 fucked up and made its full auto mode use the fire rate of the burst mode. Pretty obvious that it wasn't supposed to do that. And you're like one of 10 people who have complained about the gun getting fixed while the majority were happy with the change. Use common sense when buying a gun. If there's a ton of people complaining that it's op, then at some point it's probably going to be nerfed, especially in the middle of a big rebalance like what happened with the shredder.
  23. That's what they're doing with UE4. They have a separate team in Australia rebuilding the game from the ground up in UE4. Pretty much the only things getting reused are art assets if I understood what Matt said correctly.
  24. This is awesome guys, thank you! Aaaaahh you can see the clouds again! The sky isn't just a glowing blob anymore! Could we possibly get a few more shots of Asylum at night? That one Kevkof posted of the courtyard looked so good compared to live! The night time still needs some work but that's already been addressed by Matt that the visuals aren't final. (Thank you @MattScott for moving towards the old style!)
