"Reversing the ir3 changes"

I just tried with a friend , damn matt , i didn't knew you lierally meant reversing IR3 ....

 

Incase you guys didn't noticed yet , Improved rifleing actually REDUCES your range instead of increasing it , i was playing with ursus for a while and it felt like i needed quite a bit of shots to kill my enemies

so i  tried on a friend just to see .

 

 

Yep , URSUS is a 5 shot to kill at 50 meters WITHOUT ir3   , and a 5 shot to kill only up to 43 meters WITH ir3

 

What a meme.

Can confirm this is the case. LCR PR1 becomes a 6shot kill at 70m and the FAR assault rifle (which has extra STK at 51-52m) gets an extra STK at less than 50 with IR on.

Dead serious. Get a friend and try it out for yourself

Test the guns at various ranges - e.g. the STAR should become 7 shot to kill at either 51 or 52m, while a perfect 6shot at 50. See how using Improved Rifling will actually make it a 7shot at 50 meters

I tested Improved Rifling 2 and Improved Rifling 3 , but I assume Improved Rifling 1 is also affected

That explains a lot. Was encountering some very weird behavior with guns using this modification earlier today and didn't quite piece it together.

please LO get ur backup from before u changed any mods/weapons and... stop making things worse!

Man, I remember another company that would have unexpected results like this whenever they fixed/patched/reverted stuff.  Can't remember anymore who it was..................

It's still the very same company when it comes to devs. I wouldn't jump into conclusions tho. Maybe it's really the spaghetti code...

Ya 81M. Forgot it adjusts the minimum damage range too. Still not a huge difference, but I can see this getting exploited, by me.
