Will LO Make JMBs Fairer For The Players?

Srsly? 3 day guns is value? 15 days from a tiggs jmb is value? Any timed gun is value when you own them perm? The answer is no. Not even getting the legendary is valuable when you have to spend 100+, 200+ before you get one.

i'm a gambler irl so it mebbe different to me but i find just the playing satisfying enough. i've got cars and a few legendaries out of them but i never use them or just sell them cheap on marketplace when i do anyway as i'd never use them. dunno why i play them.. plus the free premium you get sometimes is nice enough and worth it. 
you gotta think about the long term sustainability. if you hit the jackpot all the time then nobody would ever need to buy them as everyone would have everything they want right? not a good model to make a profit to keep the servers running is it 😛
i do understand it's frustrating not winning tho
i've never won the lottery jackpot either but i still play every week $20 a pop

What were saying is that LO needs to make it so the win rate is better. There will still be money made regardless but as it stands now its not worth the money when you spend hundreds and get nothing of value. If the rate is worth it LO will find more ppl buying the boxes hence they will make the same amount if not more as well as make the community happy.

they are tho. they're only 99g1c each. if you dont win just play again. i've won plenty enough. if win rates were any higher there'd be no point to them it loses value. honestly its basic economics 101. what you're proposing is an elementary example of a bad business model, there's no sustainability.
for 99g1c you get plenty for your money. whether it be a super car or 2 weeks premium or whatever. when you buy a jmb you gamble, that's what it is. have you ever seen people win jackpots in casinos all the time every hour every day? they'd go out of business.. 
for the price of 99g1c i get some cool guns to try out when i'm bored or a cool car or premium which is cool and maybe the odd legendary and thats 99g1c i've spent on keeping the servers alive so win all around.
people are just too entitled i think and want everything for free without understanding how economics work.
it's not wasting your money, it's you keeping the lights on. and in return you get cool stuff now and again.

regardless of how i feel about joker boxes the fact remains that while technically (legally) you might receive your 99g1c worth for a 3day lease, in reality the more permanent weapons you buy from armas the less value those 3day leases have

while spending money does keep the lights on, this isnt a kickstarter or a gofundme - little orbit is selling a product and if its not good enough people wont buy it simply out of the good of their hearts

just cause other weapons are overpriced (we're talking the price of a full game here) it doesn't mean that everything should be overpriced.
and even then, there is no justification why legendaries should be twice as expensive as others.
(you could also see the "actual" market value from (forbidden) real money trades, they were lower than normal weapons)
(excluding sales cause there's not only 50% on armas but also JMB BOGO etc,)
(i own around 80 weapons accountwide perm and like 15 legendaries on top (can't check at office pc lmao), i still think the prices are too high for most players.)

also, actually unlocking the "normal" weapons as 3 slot leases takes much more grind than to earn one legendary...

$400 u should have had at least 4 legedary drops. thats well under 1% rate with ur recent $10. Again gambling rates on the JMB.
well let's say $410 now lol...i guess with that $10 i threw in i was lucky.
But ye i think there should be a cap to guarantee a legendary in a $100 but then again. Knowing how gambling works, they'd make more money ofc letting people gambling than making it $100 guarantee'd

I'll be happy if they do something about this if they ever fix the game in a state where it runs clean, and have an up to date engine!

Here's a thing that I believe most players are not getting.

Let's say you have 1% chance of getting a Legendary from a JMB.
You'd guess "well, then let's buy 100 JMBs, one of them is guaranteed to have a Legendary".

See, that's the mistake that almost everyone makes.

The percentage of getting the cool reward out of a lootbox (in this case, a Legendary out of a JMB) applies to every single box, not the stack. Each box has a 99% probability of giving you something else.
You might be the luckiest man in history and get 50 Legendaries even with that low chance, or you could be like me and get none.

Let's say we increase the chance to 10% because f*ck easy profits, we want to give Legendaries to a lot of people (not mocking you here, in case you're reading something wrong between the lines).
Let's say you buy 100 JMBs again because, with that percentage buff, your chances are now generously higher than before.

Would you finally get a (sort of) guaranteed shot at the Legendary?

F*ck no Jimmy, f*ck no.

You may very well still end up with lots of stuff that is not what you were looking for because of the same principle: the 10% chance applies to every single box.
It doesn't mean you're getting a guaranteed Legendary after ~10 rolls. Hell, it doesn't even mean you're guaranteed to get one after 50 rolls either.

The same strategy applies for every game, and every player from a certain game will tell you their lootbox system is rigged/gambling/unfair. Every single one.

But that is just probability. The answer is the same for every game.

Now, we might also believe this is more like gambling than probability, but unless the whole process is revealed we don't know for sure.
All I can tell you is that, whenever somebody tells me the lootbox system in a certain game is more like gambling, I am reminded about how claw machines work.
Though, to be honest, those are real money milking machines than gambling machines.

Bottom line of this is: if you're not into lootbox gambling, then spend your time farming APB$ instead, then pick your Legendaries off the Auction House. That's what I'd do, honestly

That's not how a probability lootbox system works, though. Might as well put a stupid high price for Legendaries on Armas - not saying you should, but the end result would be very similar to this.

Bad: raise the win percentage of legendary guns.

Good: change the lower rarity prizes so that players don't feel like they're being ripped off. Suggestions include Joker Tickets (10 = green, 25 = blue, 50= purple), permanent lower rarity weapons (0 slot = blue, 1 slot = purple, tradable), timed R>195 mods for characters, vehicles and weapons (blue prize, useful for those who are still leveling their characters).

because let's face it, the frustrating thing about Joker Boxes is being flooded by 3-days weapons

I recently unistalled APB from my office PC since game play on it is unbearable.

Nothing put in Armas will make me pull out my wallet ever again except sale priced premium for customization purposes. Good luck on getting your guns. Personally Id wait for a Bogo but who knows if the rates are adjusted during the bogo. Who knows?

this i do agree with. i have like 6 pages of armas leases i'll never use..
maybe there should be a way for the system to check which guns you already have and not give you those guns.

or this ^ jokertickets is already in the JMB but more JT would be fine, and maybe add apb$ in the cycle too
These preset guns are great for people who never spend a dime in this game. Basically anything they get from the drops can be usable. Unlike us who DO spend money who has almost every weapon in the game...

Reworking the lower tiers would be great and all but there is one big problem with that. A lot of longterm big spenders already have everything they want. With the one exception being that shiny JMB gun they are after. 

I'd kinda like it if they have some sort of safeguard. Some games do that and I have to say it is all kinds of nice. Have a look at ESO for a pretty fair way of going about that. At least in my opinion. Basically duplicates and the likes accrue a special currency. Which can then be spent on a specific item of your choice from the crown crates. Even Runescape has a system like this. Maybe APB should revamp the boxes and aim towards a similar implementation?

Fix'd that for you. Premium time pulls are good though, as it's always a net gain for the box's cost. Joker Tickets are also fine, so long as you pull the higher tiers on them. Should honestly improve the tiers to 150/300/600 (which are divisibles on the ammo case, the only Joker Store item that stays valuable indefinitely).
