Personal opinion says APB has a few "soft-P2W" elements, things that aren't exclusively restricted to the ARMAS store but strongly encourage you to get them through the ARMAS store instead of through just playing the game (Weapon roles leveling, the Joker store). Nevertheless I voted No, since the accepted definition of P2W is more of the "hard" kind (advantage you can only ever get by spending real money for it) and APB has none of that here.

SNR: The silent threat. Should be nerfed?

Wait, you really don't see anything wrong with how you formatted the poll options? Anything at all? -

This back-and-forth has gotten quite out of hand at this point..... -
It doesn't even take that much, 1 large ammo box + 1 or 2 low yields is enough to smoke most non-heavy vehicles. Even better with frags since the box will resupply the nade you just spent even before it gets destroyed. There's really no cause to waste a magazine of bullets on a Mobile Spawn unless you don't have Large Ammo Box equipped.

Would be more convenient to have this use the forum poll system, but oh well Better Client FPS and then better matchmaking would be nice

The engine upgrade takes priority before all other changes.

Same thing that makes the Yukon so hateful, its the perfect ambush weapon.

What are your thoughts/opinions on the Norseman weapons?

I used the Hoenir for 30 days, its mostly ok stats-wise but the TTK is just too long. Dunno about the other variants. -
Is an AMD APU GOOD for apb and what fps should i expect ?
Nite replied to loldeath's topic in General Discussion Archive
With a decent IGP overclock it can do really well in a lot of newer titles from what I've seen This is all just theorizing though so you gotta just see for yourself -

Should be enough for 1080p 50-60 in a title as old as APB (on paper at least) but you should still expect the occasional stutter or hitch, the game never was a shining jewel of optimization... -
How in the world did you get a hold of a 52in 768p display?

APUs have specifications, need to supply those before anyone can really advise you on this. -
Sidenote: the best sandbox TPS vehicle handling I've seen is Just Cause 2, steering is responsive without being RC car-ish, cars can fishtail and spin out from erratic steering, there's actual suspension physics, its just all around great.

Maybe they could capitalize on it with a testing event with rewards for the live game or something

How accurate it is ought to be an implementation detail - even for on-foot games there's variation in prediction accuracy between titles. LO would simply need a solid implementation to use (probably expensive, probably worth it). Also why is everyone bringing up GTA:O comparisons left and right? AFAIK all the game physics there are fully peer-to-peer, so that's like, a drastically different system top-to-bottom... Given how low vehicle top-speed in this game is I'd imagine it could still work, the best car in this game is barely getting 51MPH at best. Right about the tickrate though, so, maybe a post-engine upgrade dream anyway

Couldn't we just fight most of that the same way we do intentional abuse for other aspects of a game though? client-side anti-cheat, district monitoring, etc. Though I imagine part of why that potential issue is so daunting is because vehicle impacts are one-shot-kill affairs in this game so I dunno. (Maybe if getting run over did HVR level damage and some kind of knockdown effect instead or something) Ehh, I kinda disagree with some cars but that's getting into subjectives so Imma leave that alone for now

From that whole Nymphi vs. OP above I'm going to assume what he really should have asked was "Should the SNR be revised or left alone". Really though OP, your grasp of grammar seems to be quite liquid. -
Why are people so opposed to client-side server-verified vehicle handling? Isn't that how most racing games do it? Does it not work? Either way I just want the vehicle handling to be more like a need for speed title. Responsive and somewhat solid.

I once survived standing on top of a car as it got smushed to death by a pioneer - came out of it with slivers of HP remaining and even the guy driving the pioneer was surprised (I guess he didn't take a good look at my scoreboard loadout). Its just too much hassle to deal with the 8sec regen delay when you intend to CQC. I'm tempted to try hard landing, but I've gotten decent enough at using "intermediate height spots" to soften my descent, and I don't think I could give up valzipram either at this point so, RIP

The Ogre's only real problem is that it seems to crowd out hitreg for other people sometimes, but that's not a fault of the weapon itself so....

I wish I could love the Bishada, but I'm very fond of 'vehicle combat' (for as much as such a thing can exist in APB) and the bishada is almost as bad as the cisco, easily pushed around and just frustating. Makes the Jericho the best ARMAS purchase besides the Firehawk I ever made despite it having the most oversteer I've ever seen in a videogame car. I'd always thought the vegas problem was it had zero starting grip, just 6 agonizing seconds of wheel spin just because.
