instead of watering down the gimmicky nature/identity of some weapons so that they properly fall under their weapon category, how about slightly nerfing the ntec, which will pretty much buff every AR/R/SMG in the game by making it viable against... the ntec. we dont need to rebalance everything, that's not what APB needs at all. The HVR is still too good in 4s and 3s, the ntec is good in literally every situation except when you're going against a corner camping JG/CSG/NFAS player, and we are in the process of already balancing these weapons, so why even suggest balance changes this drastic? Only changes i can agree on are stun nades and harbinger to be honest. Low Yields were nerfed but i guess they can be nerfed even harder? also, no conc nerfs or changes? do we really want to corner ourselves into a conc meta? and what the hell is that snub buff? that's WAY too good lmfao.

they do? didnt see any of them when they had to suffer on our ping for once? unless you mean slayem and 125hz? i only got to play against them a few times before they started dodging opps against us so... not a good look, ninjar.

yeah i mean, it would make the thumper kill slower than pumps, but for no real reason other than "it cant be too similar to the pump shotguns." If we were to keep the same TTK with CSG and JG, but make them both 3stk, and make these changes to the thumper, you'd pretty much be nerfing the thumper only because it would be too similar to the new JG and CSG.

simple, scale the rof increase and damage reduction for the jg and csg and apply to thumper, and make the thumper 4stk

Which is the entire point of making JG and CSG 3 shot, to increase the attackers ability to hit the shotgunner by forcing the shotgunner to be out of cover even more if they desire to reach the fastest TTK. You could still corner pop with the 3 shot JG, but you will take 33% longer to get the kill, making it much more difficult to play super defensively with it. I agree, the TTK shouldnt be changed at all, but increasing the fire rate and decreasing the damage makes total sense.

most of this vod is just sleeper ntec game play, but yeah. underyling problems with shotguns is that they're too strong as defense weapons, on a game where most missions are defender-sided. Make the CSG and JG 3 shots to kill, increase the fire rate, force the player to be out more. TTK can be increased or remain the same, I dont really think TTK is the underlying issue, it's just the defensive nature of the JG that makes it too good, and this same change should also be applied for the CSG. Once the old pellet reg system is taken out, the CSGs range and reg problem will go away, and the JG will be less effective at range, since landing a few pellets wont be as rewarding as it is currently, where even if you hit 5 or 6 pellets, you're going to do at least 70-80% of the full-pump damage. one may argue that increasing the RoF of these weapons will just make them too similar to the shredder or nfas, but even if the JG and CSG had the same minimum RoF as the shredder or nfas, it wouldn't matter, because they are both pump shotguns. crutch tax is applied to the shredder and nfas, while the player is forced to shoot perfect pumps to try to achieve the lowest TTK. Currently, the nfas is the fastest-killing CQC weapon in the game, and is almost one of the fastest killing weapons in the game, while the JG (and even the CSG) allow the player to cheese out a defense stage with very little risk. shredder shouldnt be touched, and the whole meme with strife being able to 1 hit players using fragile is valid, but idk why anyone would pretend to be worried about the viability of fragile when the underlying issue is how important Clotting is to have equipped.

is this how people really feel? 12 Deaths of Xmas gives all players the "equal gun set up," and trust me, there isn't a difference whether it's an ntec or a hohohopgl, the same people are losing either way. nobody likes the snowball events because the trash players cant lead shots and have terrible awareness, while the good players are forced to use a really boring and stale weapon for several minutes, just to easily end up topfragging after farming the same 4/5 people a dozen times, and doing it over and over again. Now that 12 deaths has been removed, there's no reason for us to play. Also, there wasn't an event weapon for this year, which just kills it for me... i really wanted a FAR 3 slot on my new characters.

they are removing the threat system with world servers anyway. if you just look at how consoles threat is managed, that's how it will be for us, eventually.

you could've just kept it in rotation, or just take out the snowball launcher event since you decided to add two more variants of it. Unless you're planning on bringing back beacon fight club with a permanent 12 deaths game mode, (which you should totally do btw,) I don't understand the logic behind removing the most fun and replayable event in APB. Not to mention the fact that it gave the fastest money and rewards per hour, making it worth playing even after you max out all the roles/achievements or w/e.

why would they make a post on the forums saying "christmas event coming soon!" instead of just posting the info. It goes without saying that the event is launching soon, it's dec 17th, 8 days before christmas. why in the fk do u need a company to tell u this.

it happens when you tab in/out often. actually, the game frequently breaks if you tab in/out of it. Framerates decrease by around 30%, markers only show on maps, it screws you over for DM stages.

10k JT is fine. id argue that a lot of the guns are underpriced. secondaries are like 4500 and some guns like the dogear are only 5k or something. also, why would u want to waste 10k jt on a non-cj3 hvr. waste of time. stop trying to ruin grinds for other people just cus ur too casual to play fc for like 10 hrs a week and do dailies for an hr a day for approx 3 months, mr "this game is so stale" doesnt wanna grind the content given to him.

COMPLETELY different things. You are playing a classless TPS, where both factions have the same exact loadouts except one has access to a type of weaponry that the other doesn't have, for no reason other than "FaCtIoN IdEnTiTY." Heavy using a sniper would be unbalanced, it would effectively double the snipers health pool and only lower movement speed. Medic using a high DPS weapon while being able to pump heals out isnt balanced, obvious reasons Paladins wear plate so that makes zero sense, sure some of their BiS pieces can be cloth but they can wear plate, allowing them to cast fireballs wouldnt make any sense and they'd probably rarely use it (all within classic WoW game logic, since every other MMO is irrelevant and dead anyway) Giving a rogue the ability to out-heal other healing classes and buff others without the use of a pally would be broken, and would kill off other classes viability. Giving crims LTL because Enforcers have LTL wont do shit to the balancing of the game, it will only enable both factions to have access to the same exact weapons. It wont make enforcers obsolete, it wont make crims better, it will literally do nothing bad to the balance of the game.

Hard to derive sarcasm from a statement that is commonly made by trash players almost monthly. It seems you aren't being sarcastic, because you bring up the whole "identity" thing, which nobody realistically benefits from or gives a damn about anymore. If "identity" matters so much, crim can have their own scuffed LTL variant with some dumb theme that fits it. The only LTL weapon that isn't trash is the pig, and the only thing good about it is it allows u to play like a defensive surprise, even with a low TTK. All other LTL weapons are awful because they have tremendously higher TTKs, allowing them to be outgunned by pretty much everything that isn't an LTL.

I really hate when people act as if either faction has any real "identity" when the only difference between the two is sirens, paying off bounty, driving into stores, LTL and mugging. The factions are far from unique, and have been for years. How can you take this so seriously and act like it even matters anymore? The only people who play nowadays are players who've been around for nearly a decade, I can't imagine anyone quitting or getting upset because "waah, crims got LTL varients, there's no reason to play enforcer anymore." Players who hop between crim/enf understand how unnecessarily inconvenient this makes playing APB. If I want to go LTL, I HAVE to disregard player population and character progression on my crim and play enf. People say LTL is trash, and it is, but if it's so garbage, then why do you care if crim has access to it too? do you morons not want to level your role on your crims too? I really don't understand the gatekeeping. Also, if I wanna play APB without getting bounty every 10 minutes and worrying about an out-of-mission silver HVRing me in a TDM stage, I have to play crim in order to pay it off. Even though Little Orbit said they'd remove the bounty system soon, making the 1 actual useful "crim identity trait" completely useless, but nobody seems to be complaining about this, so it's puzzling as to why people act like they care about lore/roleplaying BS when they clearly don't care?

why are you acting like the JG isn't the best pump rn? even before pellet changes, JG is a better shotgun for hard damage, so it is situational. CSG has been garbage for an entire year.
