it'd be kind of neat for orbit to release some statistics of some kind, i still think it was cool when g1 broke out the weapon usage breakdown all those years ago

i imagine a lot of new players do choose to play as criminals at first but i doubt it makes much difference if we were to compare overall faction skill, if only because most "good" players have a character for each faction because of how it works fc is more heavily affected by population numbers, unless the skill gap between teams is incredibly high generally whichever team has fewer people is going to fare worse there are some slight factional imbalances within specific missions (e.g. enforcers have a vehicle mission that does not require them to break into the vehicle objectives, criminals have a bomb mission that allows them a shorter time for defending the objective) but other than these outliers factions are very much equal imo

theres a difference between getting the occasional bug or glitch and dealing with apb stuttering every 60 seconds from garbage collection, its not even comparable really who knows how many config users would be banned, using a config just so that your game is barely playable isnt some magical red flag indication of cheating

idk about you but i don't play video games that i have to "deal with" - if the game isn't enjoyable because the game doesn't work then im not going to bother playing, and i'm pretty sure a whole lot of the players using configs would agree with me so you can chill in social wearing your big boy underwear because NA can't even support the single district it barely manages now after the config users leave lol

cheaters can't alter the rof of weapons beyond what the game allows

obeya and patriot were merged into a single eu server called citadel tbh you may have some problems with your account (changed character names, account migration issues), i have no idea how accounts that haven't logged in since before the migration are handled after so long

what if they aren't cheating? they just get "rejected from community" for no reason? even if we give you the benefit of the doubt and pretend your accusations are 100% correct (spoiler: they aren't), do you really think that everyone's accusations are also 100% correct? that's why name and shame rules exist, because not all hackusations are right

as much as i understand something being better than nothing, the idea of facing a bunch of bronze and silver players over and over is really not any more appealing to me than endless unopposed missions my personal opinion aside, allowing dethreaters to go ham 24/7 with no need to manage their threat level on top of allowing legitimate golds to roll through every instance is definitely going to kill the population even faster than its currently draining - i guess the question is whether orbit thinks gold players getting opp is worth accelerating apbs decline

it sounds more like this is a map problem, and yeah it doesn't seem like we'll be getting significant map changes anytime soon, but i still dont like the idea of nerfing a gun as a bandaid solution for a bigger problem especially when its not just the hvr since basically every long range weapon gets a huge indirect boost when used in waterfront, removing the biggest headache doesnt mean much when theres 6 other ones right behind it because the core issue isnt being solved

complaining about firearm realism in a game where people inject kevlar under their skin like breast implants seems a little shortsighted

rtw threat was bad, take off the rose tinted glasses - it was based purely on wins and losses and only took into account the last 50 matches or so, it was even easier to abuse than the current system matchmaking was horrible because you could see who the opposition would be and then were given the option to decline the mission, if we brought this back half the pop would never take a mission unless they were certain they could stomp their opp

its not purely that you cant play well with the current balance, its that its often just not enjoyable to do so 30-40 kills of holding m1 and tracking your opponent until rng blesses you with enough oca shots to kill them is not engaging gunplay

the three vehicles most heavily used in carplay (pioneer, espacio, and vegas 4x4) all received direct and indirect nerfs, so you're kind of wrong there don't really know what to say to this, it seems fairly clear that many veterans who use the forums disagree with many of the weapon balance changes little orbit has made so it seems like the supposed "manipulation" isn't working

a mod that decreases "weapon damage" would affect both hp damage and hard damage like heavy barrel does, altho since this mod would effectively render hard damage to 0 if there was a player in the vehicle you wouldnt want to use it with an anti vehicle weapon anyway would be an interesting mod to have on ltl tho, as stamina damage is not affected by the "weapon damage" multiplier and it would allow at least some counterplay to opp carplaying

its less time before it becomes a waste of space, less waste of space overall, and less time consuming/frustrating to get rid of once it becomes a waste of space also knowing that they aren't going to get something absolutely worthless from their loyalty box should make the box more appealing and therefore encourage (probably minimally, but minimal is better than nothing) players to spend more

and then you stop getting leases for it because you own it permanently and the leases aren't sitting in your mailbox, because you've redeemed them, because they are leases for something you don't have

id rather have 40 leases of a single gun that i dont own permanently than 38 leases of guns i already own that will just sit in my mailbox taking up space

they probably wont be adding any new regional servers until they get the crossplay/DAM/phasing sorted out, but afterwards i imagine the obstacle would be money so anything's possible
