a fair point i guess i do feel like cs players would be far more likely to enjoy apb than a variety of other shooters - both games are slower-paced, tactical, objective based shooters, and both have fairly simple arcade shooter gunplay

apparently ive been playing the grown up edition because aside from some griefing/ghosting and some teamkilling ive never had any toxicity issues with apb it probably helps that i dont have the pathological need to physically respond to every "mean" thing i read in district chat, i notice a lot of apb players seem to suffer from that

huh? aside from the ffbans site (where doxxing was frequent) apb is probably one of the least toxic communities ive been a part of, its on par with some pve games lol

i think i'd prefer the only way to get permanent weapons to be from the joker store - i saw someone say 30k JT for a character bound weapon, that seems like a decent tradeoff between time invested/free stuff in order to trim down the p2w perceptions and also add some meaning to other areas of the game, i'd rather have progressing through each weapon role unlock all weapons (including armas-exclusive and reskins) from that class to lease, for example reaching rifleman role 5 unlocks lease options for 0slot versions of every assault rifle reaching rifleman 10 unlocks lease options for 1slot versions reaching rifleman 15 unlocks lease options for 2slot verions reaching rifleman 16 could either unlock lease options for 3slot versions or allow a player to choose 1 permanent 2slot version from the weapon class, im undecided there are some issues with these systems (preset weapons, weapons with unique placeholder mods, etc) but i think, along with some other minor changes, they could go a long way towards improving the new(-ish) player experience

genuine question, why? regardless of the “classic” apb stylistic art direction, the game itself is dated and it very much looks it and while the engine upgrade might bring the gfx into this decade, the unreal 3.5 version is from 2013 - during a period (that’s still continuing imo) where gfx are getting almost exponentially better with every year/release, i think the engine upgrade will be visually closer to 2006 apb than 2019 anything and all that aside, do you really care what the game looks like if it (still) doesn’t run correctly?

depends on what constitutes suspicion and how long investigation takes while it might sound great to say you’d put up with gaming interruptions to better fight cheating, i doubt the general majority would enjoy being booted offline on “suspicion” of cheating - no matter how quick

if all you wanted was an answer that doesn’t contradict your echo chamber, you should have just said that in the first place
