IDK, a newbie was just asking me if there would be one, and I had to just tell him I have no clue. Would be nice to know one way or the other for sure.

I'm not sure you understand the concept of how this works. The idea is that it basically doesn't matter what district instance you're in, as it will look at people across ALL of the similar instances (E.G. all Financial mission districts.) As such, there's not an issue with Golds being in "Silver district" (if there even still will be a Silver district) since the Gold's teammates and opposition are being chosen from every similar district. The only time this could be an issue really is with P/N5, but P/N5 is considered to be a fundamentally flawed system by many players to begin with anyways.

I'm not sure there's really one either, but I figured it's worth asking. You might be able to make migration cancel-able or something, but I don't think that's necessarily a good idea.
-
To be clear, is there going to be an issue where you can, say, be talking with some strangers in /d, and then you change instances and aren't in the same district at all, seeming as APB is a social game for a lot of people I could see this being annoying. Do you have any plans to try to address this potential issue? (I may have asked this before, but IDR.)

Pixelated clothing (since server came back on)

Except issues like enemy icons on the world map being unknown-character symbols instead of circles just don't get solved, and might not be ever. -
Pixelated clothing (since server came back on)

I don't want to sound like a banana, but I feel like it's more important for the game to work correctly than for us to get events, and the last few events have certainly has some random effects on the rest of the game. Anyone else with me on this? -
Yes, but deciding a gun that's already not that great should be entirely shitty is. . . well. . . not a great design choice. I really wouldn't give LO's balancing team the benefit of the doubt on that one though TBH, I'm not sure anything was quite intentional as far as end-results go.

Yes, but it's still a nerf to an already kinda' bad gun, in the guise of a "buff". On top of that, one of the things they were trying to do was balance IR3 on shotguns, (essentially trying to solve an issue that didn't exist,) but instead they changed it from IR barely affecting shotguns to being virtually required on nearly all of them, making IR and shotguns entirely more poorly balanced. Also, 17m is beyond the range it can easily kill, yes, but you could be useful at 20m or beyond before TBH.

Oh oh, okay. I thought it was more aimed at what I was saying earlier in the thread, my bad. True, but not all time spent playing the game is time spent learning it, and not all time spent learning the game is time spent playing it. Ultimately neither playtime nor post count has direct correlation to game knowledge.

Why would you pull me into a discussion on the APB forums? I thought we were friends? (JK, ILY) Here's a chart screencap of what you're referring to, I.E. the pellets required per shot, assuming all shots land the same number of pellets, to kill in a certain number of shots, at ranges 1-40m. Please keep in mind the realistic limitations of landing pellets at certain ranges due to spread. TL;DR: the damage buff to the Ogre was minimal at best, and the range nerf was severe. Only the DOW actually received a buff, in fact.

This could very likely create a potential host of unforeseen consequences, since currently nothing moves your on-foot camera except mirroring it from side to side (and it hitting into walls.) It also would be extremely bizarre as it would change your point of aim significantly whenever you scoped in. Ultimately, I think it might be better to just implement a feature for HMS where it tells you when your shot is blocked.

why is Colby M-1922 'Hazardous' a legendary gun?
Kewlin replied to foscor77's topic in General Discussion Archive
I would like that personally. I wouldn't call it P2W because other red mods can be good on the gun and the SMG silencer does have a downside. Plus, you can easily get legendaries in-game from other players. I wouldn't, lol. Suppressors don't go on LMGs for a reason: they melt the suppressor as well as the gun. (Well, also because they reduce the effectiveness of suppressive fire, ironically.) They not only heat up too much, but they cause the rest of the gun to heat up more too. Bonus video I forgot to post originally: -
What if we all just agreed eating bananas (no happy) was better than cheating?

why is Colby M-1922 'Hazardous' a legendary gun?
Kewlin replied to foscor77's topic in General Discussion Archive
Fact aside that it's fugly, I see no issue with the Commander. I'm not sure how the Commander would compare to the Hazardous. -
Remember that time that Tiggs, in a moment of clarity, referred to "Jericho" by its real name, Joker? Good times. G1 may have ignored the results of the name poll, but we'll always know that Joker won, and is the true name of the server.

Agreed. I've thought for a while that it would be cool to see HMS functioning almost as HS4 and creating new more niche weapon loadouts. 'Cause let's face it, at the moment there's really not a good reason to use HMS.
-
Thanks. As I kinda' said previously in the thread, I think this solution is mostly good. It probably works for like 95% of all people, so that's pretty dang close, at the very least.

Did you ever hear the tragedy of the Nekrova Competition Rifle? -
I'mma fire-board you mother-jambas.
-
You too, lol. Having played the mode, it really feels nothing like Battle Royale or Epidemic. It's pretty fun despite a few issues. Yeah, while I like the fact that they're separated, I was kinda' wondering that myself seeming as it takes up less wardrobe space.

That's why the argument is entirely a moot point. It wasn't an insult, it was a joke. Why in the world would I be insulting someone for being too active on the forums when I have the 8th most posts of anyone on the forums? In serious, I feel like you need to step back and chill a lot more than Darkzero. I suggest leaving your posts for a while before you post them, and re-reading them to see if you wrote them with the wrong emotions or don't think what you wrote anymore: this is something I wish I did more. I already basically said this myself in the post you're responding to, so. . . I agree? That said, I'm not sure why someone would prefer being required to play at the game's pace instead of their own. Yes. I also understand that requiring me to play too much is the single biggest reason why I swore I would never player Overwatch seriously again, and haven't played more than a few matches a month since. Expecting players to continually devote time across multiple days to get shit instead of doing it at their own pace is awful, causes stress, and can ultimately have negative effects on people's lives. When I was doing the Halloween event I was an angry, annoying person, same as OW events, same as Autumn Assault, and same to some extent as some RP events such as the purple pumpkins. Getting people to play games by forcing them to play on a schedule the game dictates over an event duration is something that I've only ever seen create stress and hate from my experience in many MMOs and online games. Ask yourself why someone would play APB more in the long-term because they was forced to play an event over 5 days instead of at my own pace? Does that make any sense? What I personally find is it turns the event into a chore instead of something people want to do, ultimately trading out long-term happiness for short-term playtime (or not: I actually probably played APB less on some days during Halloween because I was fed up with APB.) Things often aren't as simple as they seem, hence how much of videogame marketing right now is causing an implosion. Cooky, you're better than this: you know me and you know this isn't something I would say or think. You seriously, actually think that I think what you said? What I said is that opinions we don't know and have no way of knowing, and can reasonably assume are proportionately split in the same way as forum users, don't really have any bearing on arguments on the forums. The sentence you quoted specifically was in context of the "paragraph" above it, but separated to emphasize it, and you should know better than to think you can read each paragraph as separate from the whole of the post, much less the paragraph before it.
-
What world do we live in? Anyways, back to serious and on topic. I guess at least 133 did? Yes, this was specifically on playing 10 days out of 14, I know, I just had to give a number for the meme of it. Still, it's the same idea just to a lesser extent. Ultimately, if people on the forums are upset about something, IDK why you wouldn't assume an equal percentage of the non-vocal playerbase feels the same way. I really wish people would just stop with the bullshoot "but people who don't talk on the forums have opinions too" argument, because it has no bearing on anything 99% of the time.
-
Uhh, what? What's the correlation here? I'm confused. First off, how many people here honestly haven't been around since the very start? Lol. Second, playtime also doesn't necessarily correlate to game knowledge any more than forums posts do.
-
Yeah, lol, I realized that in the middle of the night and felt a little bad. Sorry dude. Yeah, I believe you on that for sure. I'm not trying to say there's some vast shadow government conspiracy and you're linked to George Soros, though that would be interesting. Well, that might be more a case of the forums coming to you Matt. : P I guess that makes sense, I do have to disagree with you on the "posting on our forums" every day bit, as that only applies to two of the members, one of whom has harassed you in many places (not dissing him, I consider him a friend.) I'm kinda' confused why you'd stick with that when it's provably false. I still think it's weird though having PMing the CEO of a company be essentially one of the major means of communications, and that doesn't really feel healthy in the long run, but I guess I'll try and trust you on that one. Anyways, sorry, I have to rush so this post will be far from perfect, but short version is I understand why you did things the way you did I guess, but I don't ultimately think it makes sense.
