  1. Relax, all. Yes, the testing was too short for such rather drastic changes. However, changes cause progress, "bad" changes or mistakes even more so. They'll learn from it and keep balancing. It's not like the entire weapon balancing can be done with one or two patches. I rather have a team that rushes updates than one that literally never does anything. Even if they throw out a "premature" weapon patch every two weeks, we'll eventually arrive at a destination much sooner than from one semi-good patch every two years.
  2. I sort of agree it would be nice listing all of it once more. To be fair though, anyone who's been reading through the forums or testing OTW the last couple of days knows pretty exactly what's been changed.
  3. Pretty neat idea which I see huge potential in - New props like ramps/jumps, a separate gamemode or reward system for completing stunts/reaching specific places, ... tons of new options. Obviously though, not a priority at this point. In fact, we're probably far away from anything of this sort.
  4. If they buff the range of IR, the N-TEC will be even better as it doesn't really suffer from the firerate penalty.
  5. What bothers me the most is that so many players complain about things that have to be changed, but a very small amount of people is actually interested in solving those problems, and not just complaining about them. You can easily realize that when looking at the population on OTW.
  6. Well, because they're that expensive.
  7. @LO_Beastie I'd just like to say that an essential problem with the HVR will not be solved without reducing its damage. It just has no place in APB this way, in my view (even when using it in its intended niche / with the gun working the way it's meant to). Short example here:
  8. Did the hvr change at all? Haven't used it in ages but it feels exactly the way I remember it, and qsing still works ~ttk 1.5sec without 3ps3. Please more info on the A/B districts and how they differ from each other. Also updating the system messages would be less confusing... is one of them still on high ttk? I had no players to test it at. :P
  9. Great stuff! I love the friends/search/ignore changes, I'm sure streamers or other well-knowns will appreciate this a lot. Also I'm super hyped for that trading system.
  10. Someone suspicious? It's beyond obvious that it's pretty subjective when someone calls a player "suspicious", and after all it doesn't mean they're cheating. Keep in mind that a major part of the players in silver districts are veterans at this moment, such that never left but especially some that returned. Many talented, experienced players are around and I feel the current level of difficulty is rather high. Hence, it's probably the best to be a bit more considerate when it comes to hackusating or suspicion at this moment. Take it as a challenge, as in "Alright, he's difficult to beat, I'll have to put in a lot of effort.". This also doesn't put you down as much compared to "He's probably cheating, I'll be frustrated now". Yesterday I was the VIP at final stage and had the opposition let us wait for the entire time (~15min?) since they gave up because they thought I'm cheating. How stupid is that?
  11. People keep saying this but I just cannot understand the logic behind it. In APB, the fact that a weapon is only effective in skilled hands is precisely what makes a weapon balanced, that's how I see it. And I love that. Several weapons which this applies to are my absolute favourites. I'm rather certain the reason why many find the OSCAR unbalanced/overpowered is that they have much difficulty beating a skilled OSCAR user - which I can understand. However, they are beatable. For me, a weapon is overpowered when there is no proper counter to it. That's also why the N-TEC is far from being overpowered, for instance. As a side note: Remember when pretty much noone was using the OSCAR? Can't recall anyone complaining about it at that time. Think about that.
  12. Linking accuracy to damage on the HVR is not a bad idea and something I suggested a long time ago, however I have my doubts it will stop quickswitchers entirely. Buffing or even touching shotguns is always a bit risky but I'm very keen to see them being more consistent than they are now. Some of the remaining weapons were my "tried once - found them trash" guns, so I'm hyped to see if those might become less underwhelming to use. To be honest though, the Cobra and especially the H-9 were fine in my opinion.
  13. To be honest there are a lot of very good players around who are very capable of doing so. Also it's not even that difficult with the OSCAR for instance, it's basically clicking around 3 times per second.
  14. I love that you're providing everyone with free premium, and the pricing adjustment is very necessary. As a side note though, it's a bit weird announcing an Armas sale right before that pricing overhaul, or even, to literally end that sale by overhauling the general value of the G1C currency. I guess the idea is that there is now a higher discount in total than there will be permanently after the change. It would have been an option to first adjust the currency, and then add a small sale on top of that. It might be a little irritating to some the way you're doing it. However, it really is appreciated a lot. Thanks!
  15. Obviously. I have not disagreed with that anywhere. What I was trying to get across is that it's certainly not impossible to maintain a smooth and stable firerate with a semi-automatic weapon (without using macros).
  16. Not sure why you think that's impossible, it's literally moving your finger. A stable, (close to) perfect rate of fire is easily doable with the OSCAR, and might take some practice with the Carbine. You can even get used to the VBR's firerate with CJ3 as long as your finger is quick enough. I can list a few people that can or could click up to 12 times per second, which is way beyond the capabilities of any weapon in APB.
  17. ^ This. Strongly depending on the future GM/player ratio, though.
  18. If possible, I'd appreciate "Video Guru" (there used to be a forum title like that).
  19. That's the problem most players seem to have, but that doesn't mean it's broken. If anything, it means it's balanced as it requires skill to use effectively.
  20. Very nice! I'm delighted to hear of a trade system actually. Hyped for the rest too, though.
