  1. I only found mediocre game development.
  2. I agree the current scout sucks, but I also think you're using it wrong. Bolt timer has been the same since release. The slight damage buff from 550 to 575 allows it to kill CA3 users if you miss your second shot but hit the third shot. It gives it a tiny bit more 2 shot range too.
  3. No no they're different. This time the CEO is a hipster instead of a horse.
  4. The N-HVR 243 had it's damage increased from 550 to 575, and linked the weapon switch delay to the bolt timer. Obir had it's range reduced from 60M to 55M, and also had the weapon switch delay linked to the bolt timer. The sprinting delay was done by G1. Not sure if that's relevant since that affected every slower rate of fire weapon. They're different class of weapons. Only reason the Obir is used more now is because Little Orbit nerfed the damage on the Obeya rifle. I can't tell if y'all are being sarcastic or not about Frosi. I hope it's sarcasm.
  5. Yes. Epinephrine turns you into Sonic on crack.
  6. That's the issue, you can't with short term data. However, it shouldn't be possible to move faster server sided. Character movement should be limited, but currently it's not.
  7. That's 99% of the cheaters. You get 1 kill on them and they assume you're cheating.
  8. Big difference between getting banned once and getting banned 3+ times on Fairfight. Than again, Tiggs threw a temper tantrum over the horse spray.
  9. Setting "TimeBetweenPurgingPendingKillObjects" higher than 120 seems to have the same performance issues as setting it to 0 (disabled). After a few hours the game continuously stutters and drops below 100fps. I recommend setting it to 120 or a little lower, otherwise set it to 0 and restart the game after 2 hours of playtime, and restart when switching districts. Technically the garbage collection runs when you die in missions, but it's nearly impossible to die often enough for it to clear all unused memory. If you're bronze or higher threat, you'll live long enough for the memory leaks to build up.
  10. This is US East. The service provider's Point of Presence (PoP) is located on the east, but occasionally it takes an extra 80ms within their network to reach the server. More details: LO uses Path Network Inc for DDoS protection. The IP range APB's servers is owned by Path, and is suppose to be anycasted, as in have multiple locations to connect into Path's network services. Problem is it's not or doesn't work. There's only 1 route to each APB server. It's not the end user's ISP since all ISPs route to the same PoP. When that PoP gets overwhelmed, everyone is affected. Then there's the problem with the netcode that causes players to teleport. It's easy to abuse in your favor. I've contacted support about it months ago but nothing's been done.
  11. Stun grenades are OP since they 1 hit. Only reason I don't use them is because of mobile spawners. Smoke grenades wouldn't work in APB. Name tags are still visible, and the current engine has terrible particle performance. It would function as an fps dropper, not much else.
  12. If they were half a second and ringed for 5 seconds or less, they could be useful. Problem is, they won't work properly with the 3rd person camera. Does it go by character line of site (LoS), camera LoS, radius? Too many variables that would feel unbalanced or buggy depending on the situation. Besides, the netcode needs a major overhaul for it to be consistent. APB does a terrible job with grenade synchronization. It's rare for my grenades to miss if they're directly on the player, but I've been killed by grenades that were 20M away. I've gotten whispers stating the same for my grenades. Concs tend to do more damage to the vehicles when exploded on the rear vs the front, probably due to lag compensation. PUBG has flash bangs. It has issues due to the 3rd person camera. You can hit someone in the face with it and they're unaffected, but then the next flash lands behind them and blinds them for multiple seconds. If that game on the Unreal Engine 4, with hundreds of devs, can't get it right, APB sure as hell isn't going to.
  13. That comment was in reference to the possibility of a security breach within my company. I'm sure you can sue over your account being compromised, but there would need to be extensive evidence. I doubt the payout would be much more than the items on your account, so not worth the time invested suing. If there were enough people reporting the incontinent, say 1000+, maybe it would be worth it, but only if each user could get compensated for their account's total playtime. Even then, the end user gets practically nothing. Most of the payout would go to the lawyers and investors, and LO will go under, defeating the purpose of getting your account and items back.
  14. If it's not costing them money to keep the console version running, then whatever. Leave it as is. I wouldn't bother putting any developer time towards it. The dedicated players and whales aren't there, and they'll never be there. That was obvious back in 2012.

    LTL Problems

There was a LTL activity last time I played Baylon Fightclub.
  16. One of my old group members had something happen with their account. I don't know if it was accessed by another person or if the server merge missed a ton of items. Most of their vehicles were missing. Another friend didn't sign in for 6 months or so. I saw them online but it wasn't them. The user on that account replied in Portuguese and was grouped with Brazilian players. Confirmed it wasn't them. In both cases, the incident and time reported were too far apart. No logs were available. Useless system if it can't hold login details for at least a year. At work we hold authentication logs for at least 5 years, depending on the data being accessed. Storage is cheaper than losing a lawsuit
  17. More words. That will solve the problem! Modified files aren't allowed, but most twitch streamers play with modified files. Adding more words to the EULA isn't going to do anything.
  18. I don't know if that works with songs. It works with death themes and graffiti. Regardless, needing to constantly add and remove people from your ignore list to mute songs sounds like a chore. If OP could read they'd probably like my suggestion of adding an option to turn off other players' music.
  19. I think it was an unreal engine feature, unrelated to the anti-cheat. G1's APB complained about some files being modified. Every anti-cheat is useless once bypassed. APB's Battleye was too easy. Just run APB in a virtual machine and done. APB's EAC doesn't allow APB to run in a Windows virtual machine, but it's still easy to bypass due to having less restrictions compared to other games. It does mean more people can play APB, but expect a higher percentage of cheats that can't be detected client sided. What we need is server sided cheat detection. Matt mentioned FairFight, but he's been MIA. Windows 12 will be EOL by the time that happens.
  20. G1 clearly did the meth when adding the previous contacts, so much so they increased the starting rank for Trainees. Wonder how LO will handle that.
  21. Make ramming plate a literal plate. For lower cars angle the plate so it fits the hood and functions like a ramp. Shove it on an IO Growl and present it to Nasa.
  22. For Rust, I can launch the game using command line arguments, or use the client.cfg file. The APB Advanced Launcher is basically doing that, editing config files that are designed to be user edited, and then launches the game with a few arguments. If there's certain settings the devs feel should not be disabled, they can have that setting ignore the config files, like G1 did with grenade vfx. What you often see on Twitch are players using modified .upk files. That needs to be stopped. Those files are not meant to be modified by the end user. It's easy to do too. Innova, the Russian version, checked for modified files when you logged in. If files didn't match you would get kicked in a few minutes for "client/server mismatch." If APB tracked afk demerits, you will be #1 in Jericho.
  23. Your suggestion doesn't make sense, since players will be able to turn it on, defeating the purpose. If you don't want to hear other player's music, then there should be an option to disable it on your end. I would add a setting called "Play music broadcasted by other players". You cannot hear other player's music. You can only hear the default music library, and music you imported. If you imported copyrighted music, reset your music library to remove all imported music. If you need music muted, you can create a blank music library by editing the file: "...\APB Reloaded\APBGame\Content\Audio\DefaultMusicLibrary\defaultmusiclibrary.xml" Remove everything between <Library></Library> so it looks like this: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <MusicPlayer Version="1"> <Library> </Library> <Config> <CurrentPlaybackInformation CurrentPlayingPlaylistID="-1" CurrentPlayingPlaylistTrackIndex="-1" CurrentPlayingTrackID="-1" PlaybackPosition="0" StorePlaybackSettings="true" Volume="1.000000" Random="true" Loop="Playlist" PlaybackOnFoot="false" BroadcastFromVehicle="true" EnvironmentFilter="true" AutoResume="true" /> <GeneralSettings ShowEULA="true" PermaDeleteOnRemove="false" DisplayPlayerHud="true" /> </Config> </MusicPlayer> After editing, launch APB using the APB.exe, then reset your music library in the media player. This should clear all the default songs.
