it's already irrelevant, the game already died, remaining pop becoming lower and lower day by day. EU if not gonna deliver a marvellous Engine , it is the final nail to the coffin for APB. New content , I mean is , something unique other than coping "BR mode". Real talented players hate going against weak players, but im talking about the fake, ego-boosted golds which includes the closet cheaters who think its "skill" farming on newbies and weak players. Weapon balancing was always an issue and each time LO messes it up. And I agree with better anti-cheat and stable servers.

Idk bro never really learned anything from getting farmed left and right learnt nothing at all tbh . unless you where a person who would help me with controlling the horrible recoil of the N-tec which kinda worked

I have a crappy idea

If you have a teammates full of your threat or lower and facing people your threat but with golds all the people your threat from the other team join your squad. I mean If the farmers think they are so tough they could wait till they get jumped by everyone and the golds cant call backup at all

Golds are dethreating and stomping players in bronze... they make gold premades to stomp bronze PUGs.  Remove threat so BRONZE players can at least get reasonable TEAM without getting harassed, tk'd, tricked into kick... because of the BRONZE color of their threat.

removing threat does not = bronze vs bronze it does however mean golds against bronzes that much more - history has shown this already

For bronze players, removing threat just means MORE gold opp and teammates.

threat segregation with this pop is just stupid... it had to be removed few months ago. Once they finalize the engine and start deliver some new content people will come back so they can reapply it if needed.

The gold op is already there... in form of aggressive griefers.  The BIGGEST PROBLEM IS... the TKING GOLD IDIOT TEAM MATE... or the SUICIDING DETHREATER Gold team mate. REMOVE THREAT~!  Try to save the game at least.

I mean REALLY... we had a GM come into district and tell us to faithfully record and report any instances of DETHREATING.... but when we ASKED once he had dethreat... the GM LITERALLY TOLD US... he could play in bronze then.  SO GET IT... the system DOESN'T WORK ALREADY!  After 1 million reportsd NOBODY is banned for dethreating because gold tryhard teams have lived in Bronze district since Matt Scott bought the game.

The PROBLEM isn't gold op, it's the team mates who retaliate to eliminate the bronze team.

Ok you are right because I use to get rekt by silver to the point I couldn't tell the difference between a gold and a silver since they where the same people

At a certain point, lets say 150 hours of game time played or a certain rank reached, you cannot be in the new player district and we have to join in with the experienced players. So ultimately there will be only 2 districts, new player districts and the experienced districts. 

 

Might a dumb idea, not sure 🙂

APB need a hidden automatical weapon damage decreaser system, it is based on the "skill" of the player. The higher the skill (Kills/wins etc.) The higher the damage of the weapon is decreased. There is no increase of damage for bad players!

 

A good player do with the same weapon lesser damage as a weak player.

 

This helps to stop cheaters (automaticly), so it is not more important to bann cheaters, because the cheaters have a heavy decreased weapon damage.

 

At the other side, all new and beginner players have more chances to defeat the skilled and/or good players!

Good players have just to play weaker (with lesser skill) to avoid the weapon damage decrease! Its simple.

 

Before you post, try to rethinking the system!

 

Example:

If there is a cheater with aimbot, the more the cheater wins and make kills, so more the damage of the cheaters weapon is decrease.

Until the cheater can not kill an enemy player. Also the cheater is automaticly lesser dangerous!

 

Same for a high skilled player.

It makes no sense if weak (new players) have to fight against high skilled players. New players getting frustrated and leave the game.

 

 

This system stop automaticly the NERF-/BUFF- Madness!

So we dont need nerfs or buffs in the future.

 

Example:

Player A = high skilled

Player B = low skilled

 

Both uses Ntec5.

Player A can defeat most enemys players.

Player B can NOT defeat most enemys players.

 

If Ntec 5 becomes a buff or a nerf, in both situations its wrong, because not the weapon is OP, its the player behind!

If there is NO Buff/Nerf, in both situations its wrong, because player A is better as Player B.

 

Fixing a weapon only for Player A is pointless, same for Player B.

Decrease the Ntec5 damage, makes Player a lesser dangerous, but Player B can not make kills = quit the game.

 

 

The only way to fix this problem is to fix the damage for each player Itself.

The system can be tested on Bronze/Silver districts.

On Gold District the gameplay is classic.

So everyone can choose.

Hmmm - what about making dethreathing impossible from the get go?

 

- If someone gains silver they can not drop down to bronze or green and are restricted to play on silver servers (but may join gold servers).

- If someone gains gold they can not drop down to silver, bronze or green and are restricted to play on gold servers.

 

This would mean that those players that are constantly stomping bronzes will be silver in no time and then have to play on silver servers against other silver players. If they are really good enough on those silver servers they will eventually gain gold and be pitched against other golds on the gold servers.  That should result in full silver and gold servers since I see LOTS and LOTS and LOTs of golds and silver in bronze each day.

 

Being pitched against golds and silvers in bronze district missions usually results in players like me being shredded to pieces as we certainly pose no real threat to them. No fun for us certainly, and whether or not it is fun for them... - ...well probably these players like to stomp others or they would not come to bronze instead of playing on silver or gold. But I like to think that most people rather would like to have a bit of a challenge when playing - right?

 

Anyway if dethreating is removed people would have to play against others closer to their skill level - that should equal an increase in the population on silver and gold servers. (And it might be a good idea to let NA players come to and join EU servers and the other way around.)

the problem with caps on losing threat is that it leads to threat inflation, because the system sees silver player x beating gold player y and gives player x a big threat boost

 

but in reality that gold player y actually has the same skill level as silver player x - he just cant lose threat past gold

 

there would also be issues with "threat locks" like this interacting with new players who have very easily changeable threat levels, a trainee that lucks into a few early wins might find themselves forever locked above gold or silver threat despite only having two hours of play time

Hi, remove threat, and recalibrate/balance threat matchmaking... should have been done 2 years ago.

(edit remove VISIBLE threat, rebalance hidden threat for matchmaking)  Shame G1 was so imbecilic they destroyed the original finely balanced RTW threat system and borked it to complete hell... despite naysayers I was here when it was active and the game was quite popular and fun... G1 idiots began a series of re-edits and changes that totally ruined the game balance,,, not to mention the greedy OP casino boxes with legendaries sellable for in-game cash, which encouraged an RMT hacktastic situation... but I digress.

-10% damage = -10%.

Only high alpha weapons (shotgun or sniper/explosive) need a more decreasing.

 

All other methodes dont works!

 

If the player base is missing for balance, so add NPC bots. But thats not good.

a percentage means less values to choose, but it doesn't really mean better balance because -10% damage doesn't affect every gun the same way

 

so each gun would still need its own unique percentage for each threat level, which is still a massive amount of work

 

a percentage also doesn't solve the problem with this system and how it functions in groups of mixed threats

Its not a perfect example, but a good start to balancd the real problems in the game.

Steam reviews are full of cheater reports.

 

Cheater or skilled player = equal.

If you get slayed as new player, it makes no difference. How to balance skill?

 

Many other games have a Level-Scaling-System. Thats exactly the same system. Reduced health/armor/damage or increase...

 

A skilled player can have lesser health and damage as a average skilled player or lesser.

 

 

Players dont run away (because the game is to old or its missing content, yes and no), most players run away because the game balancd is bad. Unbalanced weapons and/or to strong players/enemys.

How do you make APB enjoyable for Veterans and new players at the same time, when the playerbase continues to tank? I can't think of any way to do that. 

 

The engine update might bring players back for a month or two but without new mission district(s) in the works, i don't see them sticking around.  The game lacks new content big time.

1. A proper threat system and working matchmaking
2. A actual quality anti hack that will work and ban quickly
3. A community that cares, helps others and plays the right way
4. A company that does more then blow smoke at the community

they have atleast tried and done some things around here, some good some not so good i think there trying but if you know anything about what is going on the dev tools for apb were meh at least they had an engine they could go by to start work on a new version of apb, and as for fallen earth saying the tools were busted would be praising it i mean flat broken barely scratch's how mistaken care of they were 

 

so cut them some slack i see to much 'game now new now" from people you gotta understand making games takes alot of time look at most of todays games rushed out hunks of shit that need at least 1-2 more years to get working right
