Like, I'm still not sure if people is serious when they consider this as harassment, but I'll try to give my answer. Clogging support with reports on hackusations produces nothing than overloading support staff with tasks they shouldn't be wasting time on, in-game harassing is kinda different than just getting hackusated, is more likely if you are having a really hard time because of someone pushing the limits of disrespect and aggression, specially considering that if someone hackusates you is not only something to be proud, but also if you are more experienced than the hackusator then you should be trying to clarify that and help them learn if it is possible. Yeah no, let's just report all the newcomers to make completely sure that we finally kill any chances of getting more population, ban those noobs, only experienced people should be allowed to play the game...talking about circlejerking, I see those who claim a hackusation as harassing as circlejerking tryhards who feels entitled to disqualify anyone who is not on their level of gameplay. Or any of us here just learned something to play the game in a way that nobody else could do? If you are getting falsely hackusated (and you have nothing to hide about what you did to get that hackusation) the easiest and most constructive way to sort it out is trying to explain the others what you did, or at least let them keep playing the game till they learn to do the same you did. Personally, I got lot of praise and hate with my Carbine, is my favorite weapon while being myself an average/casual and I still get plenty of hackusations when I use it, and I take every chance I can to explain them what is what I did, explaining the benefits and cons on each situation, etc. Funny fact, I had to mute my mic in TS and Discord a few times because the click sounds was annoying everyone around, lol.

Well, we have the "daily activities" that could be redesigned to provide more interesting motivation than just a few Joker Tickets and the rare-almost-impossible-to-find OCA Nano variants. For daily login rewards we also had a bunch of events on every occasion they brought these.

Yeah, I wasn't trying to sound completely serious about my comment of delivering gifts within 60 days, but supposing that's the case I just wanted to throw it there, also other payment methods like cash and such could prevent charge backs I think, right?

When you get here because lixil moderated the thread... iodyne isn't joking with her comment ...unless a troll post, which I can't tell without the pictures, so maybe is just the way he wants to tell us something, idk -
Oh I see what you did, well, what I wonder is how would it looks if you do the same but without ghosting or however you name the trick you did in this video. Instead, recording with a player with anything above 150ms or even 200ms to compare both sides in different situations, taking cover, moving, standing still, etc. would be helpful to understand how the lag affects the visual representation of what is really happening, including the shoulder switching. I think I was misunderstanding your point, may be possible that I'm talking about a different thing? You was pointing out the issues with player location de-sync, and I was pointing out the effects of high latency on visual representation sync I think? Please let me know if I was confusing things here, and thanks for all the info indeed, it is very appreciated to exchange knowledge and learn from someone with the vast experience that you and some others guys like Kempington and many others around here have.

Well, usually I don't record my matches because even if I use medium quality settings it decreases my game performance very considerably, but if you or anyone else ever wants to test this things recording from both sides, I could record in high quality (I guess) for this purpose, just let me know and I'm all in to help testing the disadvantages and potential advantages of lag to post a video showing the results ...testing lag, lol, but yeah, seriously.

What about this, the Gifts are delivered only after the time to claim a charge back is over, like...60 days, right? Not sure how effective it could be to prevent fraud and quite sure it would annoy a lot of us af, but seeing as how irresponsible people could be, then I don't see any problem in placing more checkpoints in order to make the system work and prevent miscreants from causing more havoc.

You mean hitting an actual player in the first example and hitting anything else in the second? Excuse me for asking or maybe I'm not understanding clearly, but if both situations are about hitting a player, isn't the second example a redundancy of the first one? But I get what you say and indeed I had the chance to test the game with two computers one next to the other with 140ms in FC and 160ms to 200 in Action and Social Districts, and the visual de-sync is very noticeable, as an example, when one of the high latency players jumps, more or less when the jump decay starts is that the second player sees the action occurring on his screen. And playing with low latency players and recording both sides we learned exactly what you said too, I can shot slightly forward of my target when they're running and get a barely similar reaction what a low latency player usually gets, because I'm anticipating my opponent's trajectory for a bit less than a quarter of a second based in my latency and telling the server to land my shots exactly where the player would supposedly be if he is running straight to where I'm shooting. But this barely works this way to be honest, this happens only for specific situations where the target is running in the open at far distance from me.

This pictures pretty clear what was happening with Tiggs in command in the last months of the Reloaded Inc, era:

Game industry questions belongs to Game Industry forums...no wait. I'd like to think it is in the order of the 7 digits, it is a full package including two games, the portal and a bunch of stuff needed to run all that, and if everything goes well with the technical aspects of the game, as for how Matt managed to resuscitate this community and earn our loyalty back, the investment should totally worth it, no doubts. RTW investment to create APB was something around $70 to $100 millions and not sure because can't find the source but I think I've read that then Björn Book-Larsson bought it for less than 10 millions, maybe 7, but I can't remember right now.

Yes, it is serverside, I mean I know you know, but when there's some major lag going on you can notice this too, indeed I use the shoulder-switch or the car horn to check how the real latency I have feels despite what the fps counter shows.
-
I also thought of this, but I'm quite sure he means that the current LO GM's, the ones that used to be managed by Tiggs and are part of the company I think, were put to do some sort of "support" tasks by assisting ingame with the latency issues and helping players to report their /latencytest results to contribute with this. Still not sure though, but I believe a player or anyone outside of the company handling support tickets would be simply a no no.

Awesome update, I've been closing the game in the middle of my first mission in the last few days I attempted to play because this. Glad to know you know now.

I usually refrain from commenting in threads like this, going so long through so many pages, then I find out is just an arguing with nearly 0 constructive inputs to help the op to get a more clear understanding of what the others are criticizing. So I came to comment two things, first of all, bringing in-game drama such as threat rank to the forums only adds toxicity imo, for the goldies around here, let's just try to help anyone we think is doing bad to do better then! Or anyone here is gold because you do or play in a way that no one else could even attempt to try? Anyways, I also think the discussion is senseless because switching sides only affects your aim negatively when it shakes your camera side to side, there are "theories" that says switching sides could make your hitbox a bit slim for a fraction of a second, but even if that's the case, it wouldn't provide an advantage since it also affects your aim and shakes your screen a bit making it more complicated, but it is true that it may be very annoying to see a good player killing you plenty of times doing that which could make you think bad about these doing it. The other thing I wanted to say to you @Darkzero3802, being yourself around for so long and you still didn't spot when some participants in your thread are antagonizing and using your thread as a chatbox? May not be the case this time, I'm no one to tell since its your thread and I can see you interacting with everyone, but personally I just feel I wasted time reading stuff about your ingame threat rank and how you are an authorized person or not to talk about anything which also discourages me from posting tbh. Guess you know you can just ignore them or even ask @Lixil or any moderator to clean up your thread if you feel like doing so, I might be wrong and maybe you are enjoying the discussion here anyways, so that's it. Regards to everyone around, no hard feelings with any poster here btw, please don't take my comments personally guys.

I've been asking for a proper /report function since January/February 2012, a bunch of years later they added it just because FF comes with that feature, but still G1 never heard us and never said or did anything in these regards. They were always so secretive and defensive that it always made me think if they had a true interest on protecting these players. I remember this guy I reported once, provided solid video evidence from both sides, opposite and teaming up with him, a few weeks later I spotted him and he just did a name change. Was just a coincidence or what? Oh and I remember a close friend of the reported guy who was indeed a SPCT/SPCM and an active forum mod that after I told him I was reporting his friend explaining every detail of what I saw, he stopped being nice and kind anymore. We'll say was just lack of professionalism and mere coincidences there, but I still had this feeling that something shady was going on behind all this.

inb4 Lixil pinning a warning in Social District sub-forums titled: "Suggestions belongs to the suggestions sub-forums" I think visual mods for weapon customization would be nice though.

That makes me think this way maybe its easier to reach a wider audience, I mean these players we are used to see a bunch of times missing the announcements on forums, even re-posting on different social networks doesn't seems to be enough some times, and personally I'd enjoy watching a video with some of the people behind the game we love talking about what they are doing. We had so few like that in the past. -
Will the ffa r and d 3 be back

What you are talking about is called artificial scarcity, and is the only reason why the FFA R&D III is rare since there shouldn't be 'unblancing' items if we don't want a p2w game, but although it doesn't affects weapons balance at all because everyone already said it is functionally identical to the OBIR, it is a very exclusive item due to its scarcity, and that's the purpose when something was designed to be exclusive logically. Wouldn't deny it is a great acquisition, and I'm totally fine with it being what it is right now, but at the same time I'm more likely to lean to the side of providing everyone with equal chances to acquire any item designed by the developers, at least in an event once a year idc, but other than that this one is just another item like any other but with added value for being an improvement and not just an enhancement imo. -

@Lixil the gun they are talking about became a very rare item due to its scarcity. This gun was released at first in a unique kind of Power Mystery Box lately named Tiggs PMB or something like that, that Tiggs released I think as part of a event, lately she been giving away a few more of these and many players acquired one, but there's no way to get one anymore besides a very few on sale in the ingame marketplace and price is like x3 or x4 times the cost of the most expensive legendary guns. Edit: What Kewlin said regarding its origin is more accurate. -
Exactly, look cars are my thing, my first week playing I just purchased premium to design a car and the next day I bought my first set of body kits, and I always managed my business with a policy of exclusivity so I can tell you it is not as profitable as someone could think because 80% of the players I've made business with cars were finding hard to understand why the "overpricing" which was basically because of a +25% of the car cost added to whatever I was pricing my work at. Let's say I create a car design that I want to sell for $50k, a tier 1 car (Bishada, Vegas, Mikro, etc) with 2 slots would have to be sold for $300k ($200k cost + $50k taxes) while a 3 slots car would hit something around $550k ($400k car + $100k taxes) and a 4 slots would be $1.350.000 ($1m car + $250k taxes) leaving so few margin for profits. Now let's take into consideration that for a 3 or a 4 slots car the initial investment is extremely high and not only in terms of the ingame currency but also considering you are kinda 'investing' some real money to unlock the body kits in order to provide a service for other player when creating ingame content for them to pay with ingame currencies for enhancements that are acquired exclusively with real money. All this makes me refrain from investing in high tier cars with too many slots since the price I should charge on these due the implied difficulties to get them is far away from what anyone would like to pay and these players who can afford these are the ones that already played long enough to unlock these cars themselves so usually these rather buy the body kits than getting the car from someone else. Of course the offer and demand are determinant factors on the final price, but having the same taxes over objects that are so hard to acquire in terms of ingame currency costs and real money investments needed, it feels at least unfair, and it is in fact killing one of the most essential creative activities of the game which is designing cars for everyone to enjoy. Icing the cake, if you ever manage to buy a car display in Social, which are auctioned from 50k-75k and you may pay above +100k most of the times, if you are planning to display a 3 or 4 slots car you made, the refurbishment to be able to sell it later is the 10% of its cost. Is just crazy, they should remove the need of equiping a car to display it, or at least make it auto-refurbish when you retrieve it, but I'm not sure about this, it seems very difficult to find a possible solution without breaking other aspects of the game economy tbh. EDIT: Right after I posted I saw this reply: And just figured that if this trade system allows to exchange any sort of items, then the car economy aspects I was pointing out will be broken since this would allow us to bypass marketplace taxes, right? If so, we'll have to see what the outcome of this is, otherwise I can just imagine they'd keep taxing also on PvP trades?

Well said. I'm from the times of Counter Strike 1.3 in LAN basement caves where only Russians and Asians were opening these kind of business so I feel you. Also every time someone complains about a feature of the game I like to reply that if it is part of the game then everyone who thinks it is op could simply grab it and balance things, otherwise, as I usually enjoy more, you can take have some challenging fun using whatever you like to try to counter your opposite team tactics, rite? Now on-topic, if Matt and the team are planning to add content and even a map as he said, this is going to be just amazing. -
Quite sure someone else could've suggested that, but wouldn't be against the rules to bring another suggestion into a suggestion thread? ...nevermind. On topic: I agree that visible rank only helps people to get biased about their team mates and opposition, and given how this game is, it usually encourages more toxicity than competition imho.
