  1. I'm noticing the new titles color is a bit confusing as it is of the exact same red color for enemies names...any thoughts on that? Maybe something slightly different could work better, idk.
  2. This is nice. I appreciate the way we'll getting the new stuff you're introducing guys.
  3. Anything that comes to clothing as same as for cars needs to be appealing for non-designers while leaving all the possible space for customization, so I'd say is all about balance, there are designers willing to make it as personal and peculiar as possible while we have also people who would like to look super cool without having to dig it so deep into the designer tools. But when it comes to APB I think although it sounds obvious when we say its so unique due to its customization capabilities, then there is a core element that quite sure was designed in its way on purpose, just consider the ingame brand Effigy (I believe is a magazine) and you will realize it is intrinsically related with what it means to be yourself, what it means to be a citizen of San Paro, hence what it means to play APB. The word effigy itself in my opinion represents something deeply attached to our psyche, something related with how we see ourselves, how we see other human beings around us and how we expect the rest to see us in relation with a message we want to communicate through our image. So if you look at many other games that also offer some customization, let's say GTA V to say the most average comparison I could make now, there's so plenty of items to pick from the clothing stores and yet it feels so limited when you see everyone else looking so similar to any other random character. And that's because the clothes are presets, no matter how good the designs are, there always will be that limit of creativity and that's what always will find someone who may not feel represented by a particular design. In APB you can always add that personal touch, no matter how bad you think you are with the designing tools, sooner or later you figure you could add dots, lines, scratches, anything that will make it personal, and while having clothing sets that help to these who doesn't want to get tangled with the designer tools helps a lot, if you look at the vast majority of items at ARMAS and ingame those are always letting the necessary space to work on it in any way you want to make it personal. Without neglecting what has been done and disregarding the particular style of these pieces, I'm surprised of seeing what looks like some drawn details and noticing these are part of the piece itself and not something made just to show off the items. Hope to see more stuff, I take this chance to say thank you for adding ingame items, that's just awesome! And I hope that upcoming items, either clothes, cars or even weapon skins, will fit with the game lore and the overall aesthetics of APB to keep getting us immersed in the world of San Paro.
  4. Sounds really nice, and thanks for the code, I think I might give it a try although outfits never been my thing tbh. What's that "Halloween shop" about btw? Where can I see it?
  5. There might be the answer to where they are taking these ideas from...
  6. Mexico isn't South America, at least not for these purposes, and neither any other country from Central America are, these countries indeed can usually get anything between 45ms to 60ms to U.S. servers and because of that these players will likely stay in North America servers if this relocation ever happen. Cities like San Paulo, Brazil;, Santiago, Chile; Buenos Aires, Argentina; Montevideo, Uruguay to name a few along with every other location in the actual South American region would usually get 140ms to 180ms to U.S. or even to Mexico, while a server located let's say in San Paulo, would provide anything between 40ms to 70ms for most of the main cities in the region where plenty of players are actually playing from.
  7. ...guys! Please, I said it was made with paint, not even Photoshop, lmao...if I had 29billions I'd clear up the whole marketplace from any legendary guns or something, I really don't know...I barely hit 300k with that character at the moment of that screenshot.
  8. that money is thanks to my mspaint skills tho...ofc is not! ...but the two trainees and the bronze vs that 4 premade goldies is legit.
  9. Quite sure it is, I've seen plenty of new players getting matched within or against me and other max rank gold players, indeed many times I try approach them and help out in anything I can, you'd figure I'm the R241 gold enf in that pic. I was in doubt about this so just created a new character and it wears the min rank gold badge as expected.
  10. That's not bad matchmaking... ...this is bad matchmaking: I just hope they do a total threat wipe for when the new phasing system takes place, as it is totally broken right now.
  11. Great news. And we'll be able to play with our NA characters on EU as well? I'm particularly interested on that. Hope this work even better than expected and to see more regions covered which will definitely bring a handful of retired players from SA and Asia back. And regarding low population in NA and getting it split, is time to tighten up together and hold the boat just a little bit more to see if we finally reach the goal of getting old players back along with bunch of newcomers. Personally I wont put my expectations very high but for sure this gives me hope.
  12. Yeah, well I rather get lower latency than anything, then skills will settle, but playing with high ping, as a lot of players have been doing all this years, will never provide accurate skills measures. That's the most important factor of server phasing to me, I know there's plenty of other players in my region with decent and very good skills and hopefully a bunch of them returns when the voice about low latency gets spread.
  13. Please, try to avoid taking a suggestion or a reply as a personal attack. I ain't bored nor dethreating, I'm not stomping anyone and I'm not saying that my statements are the final absolute truth as neither I think are yours or anyone's else. I'm actually tired of explaining every newcomer I get matched with or against how to do an advanced search to join the bronze servers because they are silver and got mixed with the high experienced golds and I'm tired of getting matched with or against golds who can't let their threat naturally fall back to silver because it hurts their online ego so they avoid playing the game by dethreating on purpose to run away from other gold players. Here we have a problem that affects pretty much to all of us, some because they feel its unfair to fight against more experienced players, some others because they think it is unfair to scare new players or low-skilled players bullying them on a battle and most of us because we basically see how the game struggles to keep its population on Jericho and barely gets to retain any new players. ^This.
  14. Then we can open a new discussion about how to stop golds from fighting newcomers and low threat players...which are also two different kind of bronze and silver players btw, but right now the threat-lock not only is not stopping them from doing that but it also gives more difficulties for every kind of players no matter their threat or experience.
  15. Does no one figured that this person does not consider cheating as something bad? lmao...
  16. Regading these two replies, that's how it would work on an ideal scenario, right now the very few new players joining the game get lost by joining by the main district selection screen and join the "silver" districts where all the golds/experienced players are and bronze districts are filled with these averagely experienced players that can't pass the curve to a gold threat so they dethreat on purpose and manage by this complex technique to join a lower threat district. Right now threat is not just totally broken because of dethreaters but also absolutely irrelevant and counterproductive to potential new players who quit the game after a couple of weeks because by they experience and learn the high tier weapons and "premium" items from experienced players before they even learn to manually select a district, making them feel the game is totally unbalanced and p2w. Yeah, pretty much this explain why some people believes thread segregation is okay, it is not. Newcomers are mixed with highly experienced players, and average players dethreating already messed up the whole threat system badly.
  17. But I wonder if having roughly 160 players in peaks hours on Jericho (80 in gold/silver and 80 in silver/bronze) wouldn't make it harder if these 40/40 per instance gets split around 2 or 3 different locations leaving let's say 15/15 players per district as much...? Yet my hope is that phasing will also bring more players considering the low ping it should provide for SA and other regions. But what if we don't get these players re-joining? ...is just a thought I had.
  18. What does it mean "much more experienced players such as myself" ? It means your wall of text is more valid than what anyone else could say?
  19. Playing in Gold/Silver districts I've found a lot of newcomers and silver players who either joined by the main district selection screen or just because they need a contact from said district and such. Also there's this problem where if you are needing to unlock a contact you must complete the previous tier in the district they are. I don't know why they keep the threat segregation when there are barely 2 districts at half/almost full pop.
  20. This is what I was trying to say too, is not that the gun is plain "op" but its because of its versatility that makes me feel it shouldn't have that power in cqc and above its effective range, so probably the damage drop should be changed too.
  21. And that is how it was my first experience buying a permanent weapon, it was terrible. Because I used to buy just car kits and premium and when I finally decided to buy the Obeya was because it was incredible powerful, it used to be pretty much like a long range Joker Carbine, and they nerfed it the next week right after I bought it, so it was hard for me to feel confident of buying any other gun again, at least for a while after they release any new toy now I know I should wait for unexpected not so unexpected balances.
