Support Pulled Through!
Similarities replied to CrocodileTears's topic in General Discussion Archive
Selali has been great so far from my interactions with support. Love you Selali. -
Ah, I often forget this weapon even exists since I haven't used it, thanks for reminding me!

Yeah, the Whisper PR2 is great.

Dog Ear (for mobile), HVR (for non-mobile), OCA/PMG, CSG, Oscar, N-SSW/Rabid These are just my opinions though.

Ray, please go. -
As far as I'm aware, Unreal Engine's server software is not and never has been Xeon optimized, so enterprise-grade hardware might be even more of a decrease in performance than what we've got currently, even if it has better single-threaded performance.

Ping does not cause the hitbox to adjust in the way you are talking about, it never has, ping only changes how long it takes for the server to receive and process your command (shooting, moving, steering)
-
If it's so irrelevant then why lie about your threat being Gold when every time I've seen you you've been Silver? Your game knowledge and believing this causes some hitbox desync/reduced bloom/faster rate of fire shows that this is unlikely to be the case. You are aware that when you shoot on the client, you send a request to the server to fire by calling StartFire, which requests the server actually fire your round (when you call StartFire, your client instantly shows the bullet firing and the weapon gives off muzzle flash, but ammo takes the roundtrip of ping to decrement because it is handled by the server, only when your ammo decrements can you be sure that the server has accepted your shot and actually fired, it takes half your ping for the server to realize you have fired and the other half for your weapon to receive updated data from the server), when the two become desynchronized, you receive a ghost fire (StartFire calls on the client but fails on the server, the ammo counter does not decrease, and the fire only happens on your end.), the server is authoritative over the RoF of weapons, swapping hands neither reduces reticule bloom (weapon inaccuracy is handled independently on client and server, reticule bloom only gives you a general indicator of the area your shots can land, the actual decals of where your bullets go is incorrect because weapon inaccuracy is not synchronized with the client.) or increases the rate of fire (StartFire on the client CAN call faster than StartFire on the server, but the server will just fail the request and reject the shot as the time to fire again has not been met on the server.)

Clarification on Fight Club comments
Similarities replied to MattScott's topic in General Discussion Archive
Sorry, but this comparison is the kind where the pot is calling the kettle black, the devs behind DB are absolutely terrible and refuse to listen to the community, they added viewpunch which nobody wanted or asked for and now they refuse to remove it, they also take months upon months to fix broken mercs (Arty's airstrike anyone? What about Proxy mines falling beneath the map? What about the EV's broken hitbox? What about sniper Sparks? What about the Dreiss AR? Why did they change Fragger?) and also the game STILL runs like garbage and it's on a much, much smaller scale than APB. If you want to talk about good communication, balance (well, to an extent), and regular updates on progress and content, why not look no further than "Letter from the producer live" from Final Fantasy XIV? Sure, it has its flaws, and sometimes the devs do silly things (Eureka was awful on launch, they kept trying to reboot Diadem which was just a failure by design, Machinist went from the worst job to the most broken job in one patch, etc) but it's far better than DB's...whatever, and the game is much larger than DB or APB are, with Yoshi on the board of directors at Square Enix, yet he still manages to find time to keep us all updated on what's going on in the game and what to look forward to. -
BDO succ, FFXIV best, XIGNCODE literal malware rootkit

Go to apb reloaded\Binaries\BattlEye and then run "Uninstall_BattlEye.bat", then reboot and run "Install_BattlEye.bat" from that folder, sounds like one of the files their anti-cheat uses got corrupted.

No and DEFINITELY no. NFO is far, far worse at handling attacks, their DDoS switch sucks, and they null servers that they can't mitigate (as in you can't play the game.), Level 3 and OVH are much better choices, but both have routing issues. It's not someone's ISP letting this happen, it's a whole bunch of infected people (read: bots) sending very small amounts of data for long periods of time, this wouldn't trip their ISP, and it adds up, amplification allows these attacks to be strengthened, not to mention if they're using UPnP to hide then that's even more of an issue because it's a relatively new thing which means a solution has not yet been developed for it. EDIT: Also, why is quoting multiple people in a post edit so hard. Pls fix.

How come your mom lets you have TWO packets?!

This is G1's mitigation, I hope you know that. :~)

3x 6GB sticks probably, or something like 4x4 and then 1x2? Idk lol. I'm using 16GB and run out of RAM pretty regularly, so

I don't care about marketplace tax at all, I can see both arguments for it and against it, you guys enjoy your discussion now.
-
Perhaps a memory leak was unintentionally added in the recent hotfix, or you just simply ran out of RAM because of background processes, shouldn't cause any issues if it's not happening repeatedly.

Можешь попросить чтоб закрыли тему. He is unsure of how to close the thread @Lixil, I told him that he can request the thread to be closed.

I agree with this, but proposing an idea and saying we're losing something, then not being told what we're gaining in return besides "something new" strikes fear in people, we're being told we're losing something a lot of people love, but given nearly no info on what we're getting in return. I'd be fine if they shook up the weapon meta tomorrow, but I am fearful of what this new mode might be because if I end up hating it, this new mode could kill off FC, and if I dislike this new mode and it takes away FC, I may have even less of a reason to play and I don't like that thought given how awful things are currently and how much I have to push myself to play even semi-regularly.

Rename Citadel to Nekrova and Nekrova to Citadel.

Wut? Unless SoftLayer was absorbed by AWS, then AWS & SoftLayer are different companies. EDIT: Oh, IBM and Amazon are partnered.
