none of these mambo jambo would be necessary if they added a high mag scope to all HVRs as a preset, this way they would behave the same way a sniper rifle should do.

So I see both sides of this argument and here's my compromise. When you max out a role, apart from the chrome skin, you get a 3 slot permanent weapon selector. Like the one you get when you finish the tutorial at the beginning. This would be a one per role thing so while being rewarding, arams would still be attractive.
