  1. because we old players probably own every gun on Armas (or the equivalent) and have personalized our characters. We also aren't starting on the bottom, entering a low population game, learning how to work around the broken game mechanics and latency issues and going against a full team of golds over and over and over and over. Any new player can pick one of hundreds of shooters and get something that plays better as a shooter than APB (one of the worst shooters I have ever played).

  3. I have been shut down like that by some of the real golds on NA. I do well enough against silvers and low golds, but take a hand full of the real golds that group... I'm just basically a meat shield and my N/P drops real fast. But without a large population the extremes are more common than when the servers were alive with multiple districts.
  4. right, but you gain N/P by doing well in either objectives or killing while avoiding dying. If you die a lot then you lose points quickly. So, unless you are a crim mugging your way to N5, becoming P5/N5 is a direct result of doing well in a mission. If you do too well then the bounty system used to be a balancing factor.
  5. Wait, so how else do you gain N/P because the fastest way from N4/P4 is by killing opponents while not dying... which has a massive effect on the mission performance by allowing your team to attack/defend the objective.
  6. NFAS has an effective range of 10 meters, 15 if lucky (spread will kill you before effective range + IR3). I still don't know why people complain about this weapon, you either use it with cover or die to someone with a pistol out in the open.
  7. come play this very specialized third person shooter which isn't really that great in the "shooter" portion of third person shooter but excellent in the ability to personalize your character. This game has the worst shooter mechanics of any game still active that I know of sadly.
  8. from a player standpoint it doesn't. You have 2 groups waiting around instead of giving all 4 groups opposition. With the population issues NA is currently facing I would love to see a free for all. Factions be damned if I have to sit around for 10 minutes waiting for opposition to show up.
  9. The refer a friend version should be on Armas. It's not the best weapon, but it's not the worst and should be an option for people wanting it.
  10. are the joker missions to kill a n5/p5 player still showing up and if so... I guess you have to be lucky enough to be in a mission against them and kill them? you can still be witnessed at n5 if carrying the limit but I guess you can no longer be outright jumped which I guess is good for people farming cash. Bad thing for people who are trying to catch n5 players with 300k (me) is I guess I can disconnect after being witnessed now to delete the cash and give the enforcer a minimal win just for the mission. At least I don't think they ever fixed that exploit which is why I preferred to go on as an Enforcer and just OSMAW n5 crims with money instead of trying to do the witness mission.
  11. Silvers were tired of dropping down to the bronze servers and getting ganged up on when they were constantly turning N5/P5. It wasn't fair that they could be killed by people passing by instead of constantly destroying the lower skilled players they went to bronze to fight. I don't know any golds that actually complained about the issue. The real gold threat players usually just kill anyone passing by and see P5/N5 as a challenge instead of an excuse on why they lost a round. I myself found the wanted status as a balancing measure to hinder people who were constantly killing opposing team members. It allowed outside help which could give the team that is obviously losing the fight a chance to complete the objective (even if they probably won't win the over all match).
  12. there is no need for faction vs faction. It should honestly just be a free for all at this point.
  13. it didn't actually work well. It was odd, crims could be opposed to crims but enforcers could not fight enforcers. You ended up with crims vs crims while two groups of enforcers stood around waiting for opposition.
  14. because when this game was first came out it was unusual that players could even reach the first point and prep it before opposition showed up. Back then crims would be opposed against crims, large fights of 20+ vs 20+ would happen, it wasn't until everyone started leaving (near the end of RTW because of all the open cheating) that you would sit there waiting for opposition. The system wasn't built for such a small population of varying skill levels.
  15. which, that the NA population is a fraction of the EU population or that South America plays on the NA servers?
  16. EU = higher population by about 5 times NA. This probably results in better matchmaking. NA has maybe 100-120 people tops during primetime. Plus a lot of those players are half way across the world in South America which means a much higher ping and latency disparity than the EU. So, NA has two problems which compound issues the EU may not suffer. A miniscule population dominated by handful of permanent golds who constantly find themselves against the lowest skilled players and a good portion of the miniscule population that suffer from high latency because they are half across the world from where the NA servers are located.
  17. highish silvers are the average skilled. And how is something that only works on lower skilled players cheap? Are you on EU? Because on NA explosives only work on the lower skilled players that have no understanding of how the OSMAW and OPGL works. Try getting lots of kills against some of the maxed out golds on NA. I'm not even that great and explosive weapons are useless against me. Too easy to hear the 1.5 second wind up of an OSMAW/Volcano and just walk out of the way with the 1-2 second travel time of the missile. That is 2-3 second before the rocket even becomes a danger to it's target. I don't understand how that is impossible to dodge considering the radius is 5 meters and most weapons TTK is under 0.8 seconds. OPGL is a little harder to dodge because of the multiple rounds and player mobility, but still pretty easy since very few people know how to bounce grenades off walls.
  18. even with "infinite ammo" explosive weapons will never be as useful as the Ntec or any standard weapon that dominates in their range category. Explosive weapons are extremely effective against low skill players but once people get around high silver they stop being effective because you can easily dodge explosives. Once people get access to Flak they become all but useless against people. Still very effective against vehicle objectives, but not so much against players who use Flak. And saying that, all rank 195 mods should have their requirement to use dropped down to rank 85.
  19. I enjoyed the longer TTK of RTW so if they nerf everything I'm happy. It gave more people a chance to shoot back. Right now it's a lot of, who ever gets the first shot off.
  20. I think mobile cover and epinephrine are fine. The others aren't really needed. I do wish satchel charge would blow open doors to end the stand off of people standing at doors waiting for the other people to kick it in.
  21. Every gun used to have tracers except weapons with suppressors. At some point G1 just took out all tracers. The suppressors on the DMR are now just decorations since there are no tracers in game.
  22. Holy... I didn't know EU had so many people! Do they generally have less latency?
  23. Deep Impact uses concussion grenade and shoots only one grenade The Hammer uses percussion grenades and shoots two grenades. Kickback uses Low Yield grenade and shoots three grenades. I have used them all and they are all horrible. Out of the three the kickback is probably my favorite because of 3 low yields. It is enough to blow up most cars and cause havoc in a hallway. But then again if want to be effective your regular grenades and pistol would be a better option.
