The mod issue is tricky. I think the problem is APB tries to be both a competitive (PvP) shooter AND an RPG. The shooter part says all combatants should be playing on equal ground. The RPG part demands progression, item unlocks and the like. Honestly I think this is a big reason APB isn't successful. In tying to be two things at once, it fails at both.

Friendly reminder that if you use car surfer, it doesn't mean you have to ride on the roof every time. Sure it looks cool, but often it ends with you being shot right off the car.

Damage dropoff is 30m, and by 50m you are doing 30% damage. For me the 'Hel' is the best because of the increased accuracy over time mod. Remember the Norseman guns have a time to kill of .78 seconds which is slow for an SMG (OCA for instance has a time to kill of only 0.64). This means in a 1vs1 match in which both parties start firing at the same time... the OCA as well of the rest of the sub-machine guns will win every time. You have to play smart with the Norsemen as getting the first shots off is very much needed. Find a way to sneak up on your opponents. BE SNEAKY! You need around a 0.14 seconds of surprise in order to win.

The rumor came from players I do not know, and whom do not know each other. Just curious if yet another bad decision has been made.

Not sure if joking or not. As stated, Orange mods are more about zoom that anything. This is why I suggest RS1, same zoom as RS2 and RS3, but not damaging enough to ADS to matter. Just like with guns such as the M1922, The Manic, and the The ACES Rifle ( all of which rely heavily on Mob Sling, using RS1 can be added to reduce ADS zoom, which both makes it easier to ADS CQC targets in MM mode (less zoom), but also gives a slight buff to hipfire efficiency. The ATAC is sort of the close range AR, and will never compete with other AR's past 35-45 meters due to its base accuracy being too low. Even slow tap firing, the crosshair doesn't reduce enough to reliably hit enemies beyond this range. Remember the person in question was buying the ATAC to improve his cqc skills.
