These 5 months most effort has been/is being put into the engine upgrade which as expected is taking longer than expected. There was also the RIOT mode public testing, which is basically battle royale but played out differently. You can read about it here: https://www.gamersfirst.com/apb/news/

I'll agree for effect to exaggerate a point, because this just isn't good enough. The cheating situation was actually better than what it is now when we had only a questionably tuned fairfight. BE doesn't seem to be reducing the number of cheaters in any way worth mentioning.

Likes: They actually seem to really be trying hard. Seems to be transparent. Community interaction. Implemented several fairly big changes right away (new anti cheat, updated forum, website, armas, trade system etc etc). Continually posts updates, plans, etc. Dislikes: The negative effects of "learning on the job" like underestimating the amount of work required and catastrophically slow support. Anti cheat isn't effective/fast enough. (Personal preference) RIOT mode.. feels meh (I'm not a BR fan). Requires larger population. Too early stage for it. (Not enough population for both mission and RIOT districts). Feels like it could perhaps work, but after an influx of new and old players after a proper UE 3.5 upgrade. Engine upgrade delayed (expected though). Overall: a big improvement compared to old G1. That'll do.

Was amazing when BE first was released for APB. Then it slowly started going back to sort of how it was before unfortunately. Meanhwile, the anti cheat progression for BF5 should be something to learn from for all developers.

So is OP now derailing his/her own thread? . Every single post I've written here has been removed. So I'll refer to the original post then for some of my opinions which were so derailing that they are now part of the original post........ That too is dumb.

Question: On the FE forum you wrote that you tried to extend the hosting contract but got declined, thus forced to move. Here it sounds more like it was your own choice to move and that the expired contract just happened to line up with this choice. Could you clarify?

I think it is simpler than that. I say the fault was the management. Nothing else. The old CEO (Björn) knew they were slowly killing the game and didn't care to avoid it (hey, he's a business man). You don't slowly strangle a game like that without being aware of it. The individual problems can't be blamed, like cheaters, anti cheat, bugs, weapon/mission balance, engine update etc. What can be blamed is old G1 for not fixing those things. If it isn't too late, it can be fixed with the proper people behind the wheel. But then LO needs to hit bulls eye. There can be no bull if they want to pull that off. They have to really put the best minds together and not cut any corners.

Removing FF was a mistake. Look at what BF5 has done with it. It's incredibly effective and fast there. It can be done.
