  1. If I was that poor I'd just save it to make sure I could eat for the rest of the month.
  2. The aliveness that was from the larger population. Everything was just more. More cool designs, outfits, players, larger and more clans, social stuff...etc Nowadays people seem less creative with their outfits and stuff and everyone is making the same boring type of themes even. Also that general excitement which has now turned to sort of a scepticism from all the disappointments over the years. Another thing I miss: the real player names. Now everyone is named dictionary names: Acceptance, Sentimental, Contradict.... what kind of stupid names are those? woa... almost a rant there
  3. What is stopping you from using multiples of exactly the same or any other guns? Anything they are using, you can use. Therefore they will never have the upper hand in terms of weapon setup, unless you specifically chose to not adjust the team loadout after what they are using. Does car surfing not have a limit only for the runners? Who said you have to shoot the N-ISSR-B from a car window? Anyone can have that gun. You can get it from the joker store. Why would you try to chase a 4x4 with a 4-seater in the first place? They're not really fast enough. Another 4x4, vegas, growl or something else fast will do a good enough job to get you within firing distance (with the appropriate weapons). You're sort of making it sound like you can't do exactly what they're doing (or better). Now, I'm not defending running and I do think the game mechanics should be looked over here. I also completely understand anyone just refusing to even play when the others are running. All I'm saying is that the argument that you can not counters it is not correct.
  4. N-ISSR-B is good for chasing them down because it does a surprising amount of hard damage per shot ( (72.9) basically as much as an alig (74.3), though of course slower RoF) and you still have the sniper accuracy to target anyone surfing or sitting in the window, plus you can shoot it from the car window so you can easily pop back in to regenerate. Use multiple of these while chasing and they're toast.
  5. It's lame but it's not an exploit. It's one of those many many thing we wonder why they never fixed.

    bring beacon back

Just put a some Stairmasters somewhere. It's roughly the same experience and level of fun.
  7. It's not like these players couldn't play before their older accounts got unbanned. So it's not like they are "back". They were here the entire time.
  8. Reaction to nerfing competitor weapon(s) to someones weapon of choice: Non users: Finally! Users: It doesn't need a nerf! Seriouosly though, it's fine where it is imo. Same with the OCA. All that will happen with the OCA nerf is people will start using the shotgun instead. Then the shotgun will be "too OP". PMG is fine, easy to use, same with the OCA, and somehow people equal that to that it needs a nerf, especially if that person is a shotgun user seeing the OCA in the killfeed against their darling weapon. Convince the right people and there ya go, nerf coming up. Like GhosT said though: There's way more problematic weapons to rebalance first.
  9. Look at a red nametag against a very bright sky. Compare it to against a dark background. There is clear difference. Against the dark background the red is a more clear red (to me at least), against the bright sky it's a much brighter color, to my colorblind eyes that nuance is harder to tell apart from green. Now do the same for the red crosshair: not as much difference. Crosshair doesn't differ as much in nuance. EDIT: part of my shader config makes the sky much less bright by dampening the white spectrum.
  10. I can't believe you're going to make me defend my statement as a colorblind person simply telling you my problem. I didn't say it shouldn't be removed. Did I? I said: not yet (until they do something for colorblind people). Don't you think I know the nametags are red? Problem is the red and green nametags can look very similar to a colorblind person because they are affected by the background (world) colors and lighting, for instance against a red or green background, or against a very bright sky, like I said in my post. The crosshair colors are affected much less by those things, so the red and green crosshair are easy to tell apart, at least for my type of colorblindness. With red/green color blindness the red and green cones in the eye are too close together so there's trouble seperating the two colors. My twin brother has the exact same issue with APB and 8% of all males are colorblind. Why do you think all games that has colorblind settings have different colors than red and green on the nametags and crosshair? I can't believe you just accused me of talking bs actually.
  11. The crosshair very much less in color nuance than the nametags.
  12. I'll explain why they should not, yet. They have to do something for colorblind people first in that case (like me, being among the 8% of colorblind males) because sometimes the red crosshair is the only way to tell if it's an enemy or friendly (imagine having to place the crosshair on someone to determine that. It's a handicap in APB for sure!). I edit my shaders to eliminate certain world colors, lighting conditions etc to eliminate conditions that for red/green colorblind people (the most common type) makes the green and red nametags very hard to tell apart sometimes (like against a bright sky, red/green background etc). That's why I fear not being able to edit the world colors in 3.5 when that stuff is locked. I can't imagine a new engine was required to integrate the ability to change world/nametag colors and I've heard it mentioned once since LO took over but so did old G1 in 2013 and nothing happened that time. What makes me a bit concerned is that LO mentioned colorblind mode being looked into in the live Q&A, but only mentioned being able to change crosshair colors. You need to be able to tell friendly and enemy apart directly with the nametags. They also didn't mention being able to change world colors.
  13. How the F do you compare things? You just cut out whole year? lol Yeah because nothing happened there.... Hahaha Let's pretend they didn't have a 500 influx on avg. players that they then lost. Then it may seem as if they don't actually have a problem with keeping new/returning players also. I'm not good at math but I'm pretty sure having 1000 and losing 500 of that is a 50% loss in total. Merged. How is it not a fail when BE was enough of a fail for LO to decide to get rid of it? Matt said that RIOT had to be a hit. That's what I'm referring to. Yeah some do like it. about 25% according to the polls. That is not good. You don't even know for sure that it's going to be done. It may, it may not. 7 months delay is a failure no matter what the reason is. It may be understandable, but it's still a failure. On the contrary, I've proven it to be very accurate. Check my reply to CookiePuss.
  14. What was proven inaccurate exactly? I didn't take it from a thread. I looked it up. I looked at the steam charts for APB as I was typing, to not get it wrong.
  15. You make some great points. Let's be real. The last year has been the hype train to disappointment town. Outward it's still like "THIS IS GOING TO BE GREAT!". Looking purely at the results however... Three corner stones that LO specifically stated HAD to go as planned to save APB (in non-ranked order) : (1) Anti cheat: can not be seen as anything other than a failure this far (Matt said if they don't fix this, it's basically over). Increase population with (2) RIOT and (3) engine upgrade combo: RIOT is a failure and LO is pretending like they didn't state that RIOT HAD to be a hit. Now it sounds like it was merely a sandbox learning experience. Those statements are too conflicting to sound genuine (and don't tell me it's both). Engine upgrade 7 months later than original goal and it's not sounding like the next couple of months will be any different. How much of the population will be left when (/if) the engine upgrade is done?, since we're seeing minus 50% 'avg. players' online since LO took over according to steam charts statistics (from about 1000 down to 500). Any business would call such results very bad. Also, as I heard Kemp point out (paraphrasing here) : No game has ever had such a big influx of players that APB needs just because of an engine upgrade. So since RIOT isn't going to do it and the engine upgrade (probably) isn't going to do it, then what is plan B? or is it plan C at this point?
  16. This event I found to be fun in the past. It's a complete nuke fest. Imagine if whoever killed the dude took over the Devlar for the next run
  17. I think if they fix this, the game will start getting players back and new players will stop leaving the game.
  18. It's not a dumb question at all. I ran the 'APB Uncensored blog'.
  19. I just noticed that the OM symbol sign (seen at 0:58 in the video) is upside down.
  20. It all looks good I think, except for the water which almost looks like oil. Thanks for the video! The under construction sign at the end was a bit clever @rooq
  21. No. Something that is allowed can not by definition be labeled cheating. Also, how is it unfair if is it allowed and anyone can do it? Maybe it shouldn't be allowed, yeah, but it is. If there was color blind mode for nametags, killfeed and all of that, I wouldn't be messing around so much with the shaders. Last couple of days I edited the shaders to increase visibility of nametags through changing colors/lighting and sky because my color blindness can with bright backgrounds make it harder for me to determine if the nametags are red or green. So I guess I'm cheating according to 59% of the voters.
  22. Hehehe Yes, you remember correctly. G1 would let some people do what others weren't allowed to.
  23. there it is, yeah I was even the one who underlined with red and uploaded that image but I lost the link
