  2. Feels like its been months at this point. Hard to play the game when rubber-banding is so bad you transcend reality and shift through multiple universes. I've seen roughly 14,000,605 futures, and only one in which Matt Scott saves APB.

  4. This was the trend from the beginning. Look at the graphs when G1 owned this game. It went from 6000 peak to 1000 peak on a good day. Don't kid yourself.
  5. Perhaps the funniest thing is that the player-base are experts at identifying problems, but terrible at solving them.
  6. I see you speak for the bitches. But no really. I've been scouting the forums, came back to play a bit when LO took over to just fill a craving, and went back to watching. There's nothing for me to do, I'm at 3000+ hours. Until that engine upgrade hits and we get some new things to do (I may try the new halloween mode) there's no reason to play. I'm willing to bet the 500 people that came back and left feel the same way. What's annoying to me is how everyone is blaming LO, when G1 was trending downwards, consistently, for the past 3 years. They hadn't communicated and lied about their progress on any engine upgrade. The content had completely shorted to zero after they released everything in the vault. Folks around here don't seem to realize this is a 9 year old game with a revival effort undergoing. It's basically at the level of a relaunch.

  8. Ok, but I feel as if you're assuming it's a flip of a switch for them to do these things, when in reality it isn't. There's a cost for everything - and if it includes diverting resources from an engine upgrade, it's a no from me dawg.

  10. Right, banning the BR's is what caused your magical MS drop. It couldn't possibly be the fact that DDoS mitigation has been on for the past 21 days, almost non-stop. It's the BR's. Go build the wall around your keyboard.
  11. nobody cares. You do this every-time you get upset, typically after you've hackusated half of the district. Just walk away from the keyboard, take a deep breath, and then come back a day later. The goodbye posts are cringey.
  12. You also need to ensure you're launching the game through steam. AKA download it via Steam Store - and launch that exclusively. Adding the game through steam and clicking the "login through steam" button is not enough. You must use the game install specifically from the steam store.
  13. Yup. Often have 11-19 MS, but the packet loss is sky-rocketing to 10-20.
  14. Often hard to simulate a DDoS attack on a test server where they don't have 600-700 player.
  15. I'm not quite sure its related to BattlEye - the population was at 600 around noon, no packet loss. Also, the packet loss was occurring before BE. I also don't see how it's a consistent DDoS only happening at 5PM+. I almost wonder if whatever data server they're pushing out of is hitting its peak population. Also incredibly annoyed by the consistent packet loss. Game has been unplayable for the past 2 weeks.
  16. Run a virus scan. A few viruses disguise themselves as MsgHook.dll. You probably have some malware.

  18. Played the original RTW betas, and then the APB:Reloaded betas when Neume-boy was around. Yup, that's exactly what happened. They locked the threats to those spooled instances and it hit the population hard. They backpedaled quickly and made it to where Bronze stayed locked in bronze, and Golds could join the silver district as appropriate. When they changed to G1's threat system (expanded on the threats, changed the thresholds for being gold, and did some statistical changes to place folks, added trainee, etc) the de-threating issue seemed to increase exponentially. Primarily because a lot more folks were matched to gold and those who were "true golds" ran rampant on those folks. Been this way ever since. Over the years we were promised the ideas of "cross-district matchmaking" and "hiding threat as an experiment" to see how these things would work, but they never did happen. Also I am the real bear, u need 2 leave.

    Consistent packet loss for the past 3 hours + major ping spikes. Would point to a DDoS, but perhaps complications lie elsewhere. I'm sure we'll know more shortly. @Lixil if you're awake and have a minute, maybe send a ringaling to IT :)?

  21. Same actually, The speed isn't really there, her position just isn't updating with the server fast enough. Probably losing some packets?
