10/09 PATCH ANNOUNCEMENT

Hello everyone,

Our standard weekly maintenance will be held this Wednesday (10/09) starting at 9 AM UTC. The game should be back up and running in 6 to 8 hours.

 

Patchnotes

 

This weeks patch ships more balance changes focusing on previously nerfed weapons that have been hit a little too hard as well as some rather large readjustments to the ISSR-A Assault Rifle.

 

Weapon Balance:

 

ATAC

  • Jump Modifier decreased by 32%
  • Max Bloom decreased by 15%
     

COBR-A

  • Jump Modifier decreased by 52%
  • Marksmanship movement speed increased from 139cm/s to 275cm/s

 

Manic

  • Jump Modifier decreased by 66%
  • Max Bloom decreased by 6%

 

OCSP

  • Effective Range increased from 30m to 35m

 

ISSR-A

  • Health damage increased from 255 to 270
  • Jump Modifier decreased by 107%
  • Reload time reduced from 2.75 to 2
  • Marksmanship movement speed increased from 139cm/s to 175cm/s
  • Run Modifier decreased decreased by 77%
  • Sprint Modifier decreased by 43%
  • Adjusted curve to cause accuracy loss when shooting to start later
  • Effective Range reduced from 50m to 45m


Dev Note: The ISSR-A was struggling in just about every aspect, this rework should make it much better at getting picks on unsuspecting players or players that are out of position. As this is the first major rework done in these passes we have applied a small nerf to the weapons effective range to keep it in check in case it comes out stronger than we'd like. We're going to be keeping a very close eye on this weapon and will apply buffs/nerfs to it if needed.

 

DOW 'Thumper'

  • Pellet spread decreased by 32%
  • Mechanical Choke now reduces Pellet spread by 45% (was 35%)

 

Shredder

  • Pellet spread decreased by 25%.
  • Weapon now fires roughly 13% faster.

 

EOL Grenade Launchers

  • Added an extra open slot to the following variants: "EOL 'Deep Impact'" & "EOL 'The Hammer'"
  • Removed the Windup timer on all versions.
  • Sprint Delay increase from 0.73s to 1s

 

EOL 'Deep Impact'

  • Reload time increased from 1.15s to 1.3s

 

EOL 'The Hammer'

  • Reload time increased from 0.75s to 0.9s

 

EOL 'Kickback'

  • Reload time decreased from 1s to 0.75s

 

AAEPD

  • Increased sprint delay from 0.73 to 1.1
     

Dev Note: This change does not affect the gun as you can not sprint with it anyways but should serve as a small Quality of Life fix to those users that are using the "always sprint" config edit.

 

Vehicle Balance:

 

Varzuga Rally XS

  • Slightly improved the Grip of the vehicle.
  • 4500 RPM Torque increased from 7 to 15
  • 7000 RPM Torque increased from 5 to 25
  • 12m/s Steer Angle increased from 19 to 25
  • 22m/s Steer Angle increased from 13.5 to 21
  • Max Reverse Speed increased from 15 to 18


Dev Note: Following last weeks change we're shipping some buffs to the Varzuga Rally XS with our eventual goal for the vehicle to be a reward for new players as they complete the tutorial. For those that enjoyed the old Varzuga Rally XS for its quirkiness we're going to add a Varzuga Rally Prototype in an upcoming patch which will have the old stats of the Varzuga Rally XS.

 

Miscellaneous changes:

 

  • Updated the description of the Heavy Barrel weapon modification.
  • Criminals no longer gain a minor amount of Heat when damaging Enforcers at Notoriety level 3 or below.
  • Made adjustments to the Matchmaking algorithm in particular for Backup & Escalation calls.

  • Max Bloom decreased from 0.7 to 0.6

 

COBR-A

  • Jump Modifier decreased from 12 to 7.
  • Marksmanship speed increased from 139cm/s to 275cm/s

 

Manic

  • Jump Modifier decreased from 4.4 to 2.2
  • Max Bloom decreased from 0.725 to 0.68

 

OCSP

  • Ramp Distance increased from 3000 to 3500

 

ISSR-A

  • Health damage increased from 255 to 270
  • Jump Modifier decreased from 40 to 12
  • Reload time reduced from 2.75 to 2
  • Marksmanship speed increased from 139cm/s to 175cm/s
  • Run Modifier decreased from 5 to 2.4
  • Sprint Modifier decreased from 7.5 to 4.8
  • Adjusted curve to cause accuracy loss when shooting to start later
  • Ramp Distance decreased from 5000 to 4500

 

DOW 'Thumper'

  • Ray Spread decreased from 125 to 90
  • Mechanical Choke now reduces Ray Spread by 45% (was 35%)

 

Shredder

  • Ray Spread decreased from 45 to 35
  • Fire interval decreased from 0.48 to 0.42

 

EOL Grenade Launchers

I'm glad EOLs are getting some love however something needs to be done to Hammer as it's pretty much a worse Kickback.

While this is all interesting, and I look forward to screwing around with it, my big question is why is it still Front Wheel Drive? AWD has been king on the rally scene for decades, it seems like making the one car with Rally in the name AWD would go a long way to living up to that.

i’m happy that stuff is being done with the eols, but these changes don’t really affect the core problem that these guns still play like an opgl but are inferior in all but the most niche situations

 

id much rather they kept the windup timer and changed all grenades to explode on impact at any range 

this would still leave the hammer worthless (as it’s always been), but the deep impact and kickback would gain a solid use as primarily cqc options

The marksman movement speed change is irrelevant, since you don't ADS with the COBR-A (it's a pure hipfire weapon). However, that jump modifier buff is a welcome adjustment.

The effective range hit isn't going to be that noticeable due to the damage increase, will just keep it from going too hard at the farthest ranges. These are really solid adjustments to the gun.

it's because Rally Group 5 exist where you can drive only 2WD cars

So i think that this Varzuga referring to this group

 

of course it would be better with AWD to became new 3rd top tier compact car, and of course Balkan also has AWD car(Ravan) so it even will be lore-wise thing but as soon as this car doesn't provide any issue while driving it - i think it's good being FWD

Please center the camera position so it's like fortnite, I'm tired of adjusting the camera position while fighting.

Great point! It’s strange that a car with "Rally" in the name would stick with FWD, especially when AWD has been the standard in rally racing for so long. AWD offers way better traction and control, which would make a huge difference in both performance and handling on rough terrain. Switching to AWD would really help it live up to its rally heritage and be more competitive. It feels like a missed opportunity not to have it by default!

but stabbas are preety op imo... i hit cop15 with only using pistol stabba (not the one shot one)

Finally, balance changes that make sense, great job, whoever is doing it.

I know you have a long list of items to balance, but I'd love to see Corsair buff prioritized, or at least confirmed.
