Congrats to having a flourishing symbol business then. But this still puts you in the top% that can not be accounted for when trying to balance the economy. First off I don't know how many Gold JMBs you had but I consider your luck exceptional knowing I had nothing and Im past max loyalty by far. Even those few "free" legendaries gave you millions. You don't spend money on leased weapons so all in all while JMBs being a little less of a factor you still are far from the norm. The solution for a new layer can't be to create a booming symbol/theme business. Again, just because the exceptions in the top% think money is worthless and inflated doesn't mean that your average Joe is in the same position and we need to think about those. For the money sink of those top% I mentioned a gimmicky that doesn't have any influence on gameplay. Being some server wide character display or special customary items on auction or whatever you can think of that new players don't need to feel bad about not having access to in their near future.

Well, see like I said it's all sorted now but the phrasing in OP is very different to what you said just now. Admin note saying the post wasn't supposed to go live and you mentioning an "inaccessible part of the forum" doesn't in any way hint towards a public thread which could have been left closed by accident. Considering it was all just a playful reference to Zombies comment anyway there is no need for you to justify yourself any more than already done. I understand. Again, thanks for the easy read.

I made themes and symbols back on Patriot too (stopped pre merge since I migrated to Obeya sooner). I don't like JMBs out of principle so I never bought heavily into them. Somehow always had sth. to buy. So to support your statement could you answer the following questions, please? How long have you been managing your symbol business? How many legendaries do you own? How many were bought for APB$? Do you juggle mods between weapon/car switches or buy them for every separate? How much premium do you have and whats your JMB history (nothing deailed of course)?
-
Its always a bit funny when people say that money has become worthless in APB... Usually they swim in premium and legendaries from bought JMB's. Of course you don't have money issues when you buy legendaries for real cash and have bonus APB$ for things you don't need to buy (for years). Go start a new account and see how long it takes to save up for a decently slotted Patriot (and rented weapons + mods) - I remember how I started out. Can't balance the economy around veterans that have been playing for years without making it unattractive for new players. There needs to be some hella expensive gimmicky if you want to take money from the top% which doesn't have much (or any) influence on actual gameplay.

Well, now in hindsight and with the way everything sorted itself out - no issue! I personally appreciate the clean up however it still makes the OTW section obsolete and redundant which again I personally don't mind though. Social is the way to go if someone wants decent feedback

Shortening the grind for standing?
TheJellyGoo replied to tommyli973's topic in General Discussion Archive
When you use premium and are more often than not on the winning side and as someone mentioned with new future contacts this number would go way up since the high tier ones require quite the grind. -
I am not the one who posted OTW information on the public forum board themselves to be seen. Obviously? Don't try to harp on the specifics it's about the general message.

Shortening the grind for standing?
TheJellyGoo replied to tommyli973's topic in General Discussion Archive
Nah, it was simply how the districts worked back in 2011/2012ish. Also the number that I remember is more like an estimated 350 hours to reach maxlevel (partly premium). So lets say 300-450 hours. That said I also am in support of a reduction which is pretty normal in any mmo when it ages. -
Why should any of you get praise for leaking information that they themselves didn't deem fit for release? You're misunderstanding Matts tone and are lucky to not have your rights on the board revoked. I like the general sound of those changes, especially the range and ttk nerfs towards ntec sound promising. Only thing that looks over the top is the CSG ttk increase. Also that part about OCA... who wrote that? Doesn't sound like someone from LO who just recently "joined the game". Feel like those are someone else words.

Slow down (a bit) the game speed
TheJellyGoo replied to Todesklinge's topic in General Discussion Archive
But what does that have to do with my remark? I'm talking about (tactical) game-play quality not competitiveness (while arguably there are ways those things may go along sometimes it wasn't my intention)? And I disagree with Captain Teemo... those things that make APB strong can be utilized for tactical gameplay. GTA/Wildlands clunkiness doesn't equal quality tactical gameplay but realism simulation. All I'm asking is a bit longer stage time so you can duke it out without the feeling that the stage just started while it's already over. You can still run through the mission solo without a care but give those who actually wish to play in a team in a teambased pvp game the time to make use of it. Also note: I don't want to slow down the game. I like the the responsive arcadish movement/gunplay! -
Slow down (a bit) the game speed
TheJellyGoo replied to Todesklinge's topic in General Discussion Archive
Sorry to be the one to break it to you but the trailers were... staged! In fact "trailer" and "staged" are an inseparable duo and I suggest a deeper look into future games before you plan on purchasing them. That aside I always thought some mission stages could use a bit more time... so you don't have 2-3 rushed attempts. Doesn't slow the gameplay itself but leaves room for tactical improvement. -
Once again... ignoring any uncomfortable remarks that disclose the apparent flaws in your posts! Shouldn't be to hard for you to show me otherwise if you're as right as you proclaim, no?
-
No, criminals having LTL doesn't change anything on the difficulty of enforcer performing successful arrests. You pull out those claims yet ignore to present how it does actually bring forth an "imbalance" - how could crim LTL make it any harder than lethal gunplay. It's time for you to show those "G1 and community" decisions... you just keep telling your tales with how you remember it. Just because crims could get their hands on LTL through a workaround early beta when guns didn't expire doesn't mean they "had" LTL. With APBs model overhaul and the introduction of leasing and weapon lock the issue solved itself without much problem. And no one cared since crim LTL wasn't any imbalanced abomination that ruined the games economy or player distribution.
-
Not sure why you see it as hostility when I depict the apparent flaws in your statement - be it yours or someone else's! Please, be kind enough to disclose what presumptions you are talking about if you think they are not applicable.
-
Faulty logic. It's not like criminals could do both at the same time. So how could there be a "significant loss of income" between both having ltl or criminals with the addition of ramraiding which they still have. If there was such an imbalance as suggested by you it would still exist till now which would make the removal of crim ltl redundant. Does the imbalance as claimed by you still exist? I also fail to see all those moneymaking enforcer with their ltl weapons - afterall as you said everyone played criminals just for money making sake when they had ltl. And last - I remember the old times with enforcers paroling just looking for those ramraiders for some quick buck... that's another source of income for enforcers - the fastest in the game!

"Just don't get close" doesn't work as an argument in a game which involves pushing towards an objective (or player in that regard) most of the time. It's also a secondary - same issue as with Yukon - "just don't get close" doesn't negate the apparent issue! Next argument is just don't get hit or just don't die or what?
-
I support the PIG and Grenade nerf. It's really silly and you actually did't even need to be in a firefight to get oneshot by it. Normal dropdown from a 1-story already screws you... I feel like the buff should rather be to 850 for walking speed to not make it 2 shot for the NL9 and 6 shot for the CCG though. It's not supposed to rival the normal guns effectiveness. It's supposed to be a weaker niche.

New patch for 1.19.6 on OTW is live
TheJellyGoo replied to MattScott's topic in General Discussion Archive
Yeah, the gun has barely any overdmg and the ttk was one of the highest ones. What made it strong viable was the mobility and ability to get accuracy fast while mantaining perfect ttk. That recovery is just another issue of the same prob that ruined it before. -
I don't get this community sometimes

Before this starts again just read the goddamn statement (+ additional 5 pages) Don't start over again you will find you discussion there... -
Statistics tell me that, people are slowly but surely starting to leave the game, because #LO is slow at fixing the issues. In it's core all it does is show that numbers decreased from one to another month If you think that that is all you have to think about when trying to interpret those numbers than you have no clue about the flow and depths of them! While necessarily partly not wrong you're also not wholly right - just to be ahead of some recurrent circle discussion
-
fits again so: "Trying to use a statistic as an argumentative base Lacks the capability to properly interpret said statistic :thonk:"
-
So basically your rant is about sth. they actually have done which you would know if you followed the actions of the past weeks semi-active? So the only thing you can bring to the table is a subjective opinion about the FF actions (which Im not a fan of myself but done is done) I expected a little more after your statement of having it seemingly all figured out on how to have had fixed the game in those 2 months!
-
Trying to use a statistic as an argumentative base Lacks the capability to properly interpret said statistic :thonk: Time to share what you mean with "my cancer in this game would be cured". What would you have done in those 2 months so far?
-
No I do no, I answered what you asked!
