  1. ACT44 Stock feels weird due to its inaccuracy for its intended range (PR2 version was actually one of the earliest guns that could have been considered a p2w element) RSA seems to be a hit or miss whether you get a feel for it. I loved it and it felt very rewarding. As for your comparison, as long-range guns it's not their purpose to go up against other secondaries which are mostly close to mid. They serve a complementary role towards your loadout to give you more range while wielding cq-mainhands.
  2. Maybe its time for another threat reevaluation by dropping everyone down a certain elo coupled with less elo gain in the future. Let's see how threat re-calibrates itself. Might be a good opportunity to bridge the time until EU.
  3. Introduce your kids to APB. 2 problems solved at once
  4. To ridicule it and push it to the extreme won't make it less true. Also very far past the point but nt. Take note: I'm not saying it. Just stating what the actions speak for.
  5. Hell yeah, can't believe I almost missed it since I barely check Creations. Awesome of you to make a 3rd run, count me in. As for all let's spread the word...
  6. True, I guess it was naive of me to believe that SPCT members will honor the NDA and not leak info to their friends making their participation known. Because that is essentially the only way, apart from an unlikely LO leak, that would violate the anonymity. Not sure I would like going into it under this premise though since it would imply that there is no real trust for SPCT upholding it in the first place. I don't know, maybe I really just wear rose-colored glasses. I can definitely see logic in both ways with none being wrong in that sense. Just think it would have given proof of more trust in SPCTs members.
  7. Dunno where the "secrecy part" is coming from. As someone quoted before: It's not like the program itself would have been unknown - just participants, and lets be honest it ain't hard for Kemp not to wear a top-hat and tuxedo on a testserver. So it would have been public knowledge that it exists and it's members are protected behind anonymity since they have no community interaction nor are representing LO - pretty simple. Not saying there wouldn't be any drama at some point anyway. Question is really just what one prefers to defend I guess.
  8. I mean selecting publicly known people is also a way for LO to protect themselves at least to a certain degree. Being "known" usually comes with the trait of being active which is required to be of use in SPCT. I'm sure LO picked candidates that peaked their interest in some way or form somewhere and came out clean/viable in their checkup. For the start of the program definitely a logical way to handle things. Also has nothing to do with favoritism... it proves willingness of involvement over some "random person silently playing their game".
  9. Same... with all tentacles at my disposal
  10. But part of the group obviously made the decision? This already seems very disconnected and not very communicative. And it seems weird to push for it because this thread is proof of what it would cause which was just plain obvious to predict. Just to much malice that has been built up in the community over the years and to many individuals that can't get past it. As Matt said there is no community interaction required and it shouldn't even be a position of representing LO which in itself is already a contradiction with how the program is presented. Can't really have one without the other.
  11. People actually complaining about volunteers in this program? At this point apart from the off-chance that you're an actual saint you have to be big headed or suffer from a superiority complex to even want to participate in this ungrateful task. Being jealous about it is really the last thing one should feel about it. I'm rather amused with a touch of ominous anticipation where this is going. Still thankful of course, good luck to SPCT, hope it goes well, truly do since it would benefit the game!
  12. I feel violated by reading posts from people on their alt accounts who I chose to ignore on their prior account. This is straight up harassment and I demand consequences for putting me through these horrors (again). Free speech also doesn't mean I'm obliged to listen to this crap.
  13. You should play BDO. That game spams you with log-in-reward-events! Not saying the event itself was well executed though but you're not entitled to get the reward because of that. Dunno why a working formula like the 24/7 running Beacon Gungame with mixed modi in between wasn't reused either.
  14. At least this one straight out admitted to not have done any research and played <2hours
  15. Sorry, it will be forever lost in anonymity. That's why it's also very common to purchase hundred of thousands of G1C and charge back before a name change. This way they cannot link it to the old one since there is no unique ID assigned to an account in the database.
  16. Still lurking around. Message perceived.
  17. It's fine, while I do would say that I am quite a bit involved in CS and eSport I did not know of the meme (I do not browse reddit however) Now I know. Nowadays it can happen quite easy and it isn't a biggie if no one involved (or not involved) takes it personally. It's a fine line and mishaps are bound to happen for the greater good of good memeing
  18. Whatchu looking at? Personally like to call out the excuses in such posts but to deny it to such lengths? Mostly void remarks Really odd though weren't those shotgun changes supposed to fix the netcode issue?
  19. It's a necessity but not a surefire condition. Obviously a very broad response by me (as taken from one word) as there is much more to it. Experience is just where everything starts with. Furthermore good character and attitude in correlation with competition would be of course another factor.
  20. No system is perfect especially when there will always be people trying to undermine it. Dethreating is not an excuse to throw a skill-system out of a window it simply needs to be supervised and sanctioned. Tryharding is just something that comes with gaming and has nothing to do with threat in itself but a players character/mindset (some want easy times even in singleplayer games). Ultimately a question of balancing the features of the game. If there are tools that support cheap plays and dirty tricks that's the fault of a games balancing. Also you seem to gladly forget or ignore the actual main playerbase (the third kind apart from those two groups), those who just play the game by the rules. And it can very well be a personal goal to progress in a games elo and improve yourself - thats in the freedom of the system. Stay where you are and play casually or work to climb. The system is there to provide you with the fitting opposition. No fundamental issue with a system when it's the players choice to decide what to do in it's set frame.
  21. Remove threat and you will lose a chunk of the playerbase. The reason people left is because we have played the game over and over and over. Taking away the number one incentive of playing in pvp gameplay- progress in elo - will not help to create a healthy environment. You want people to grind? Make higher threat an accomplishment and not a laughing stock as of now.
  22. Nice touch would be to hand out a 1-2day Premium code so no one is limited in their creativity for such events - just throwing in.
