Well, I'm still not a fan of the gameplay style overall, this "Season 0" did seem to play a bit better than the OTW test. Instead of constantly spawning in the middle of a firefight, I now spawn in with about 2-3 deadly zones to traverse before getting to a safe zone. Not particularly optimal, but better than OTW. On the main gameplay side of things, I haven't much to add that hasn't already been said. Biggest problems I had on the gameplay side is the rather intrusive UI, rather strange spawn locations, and slow standing gain. Though standing might just be because it takes ages to start a match up on Jericho. And my undecidedness on the backstory has not changed since the OTW test. There's far too many unsolved questions, and missing details on both the Red Hill Institute of Technology and Lawrence Holland. Still not quite sold on the map changes too. I think it's creative the way that some destructible fortifications have been made, but there are still floating objects, broken textures, and odd collisions that still need to be fixed up. And lastly, I still want to suggest that if this Red Hill Institute of Technology are going to hang around for as long a time as it sounds; their icons used for contacts should be redesigned in the style of current contact organization icons. So the white/grey outlined style. Even just something simple like the mock-up on the right. Simply because their red and blue icon sticks out like a sore thumb in comparison.

I imagine that they simply haven't gotten around to sending the skin out to those who participated in the ARG. What with everything else on their plate. The skin definitely seems to be in the game currently. It has a chance to be the skin on some of the random gun spawns in RIOT. Though tbh I'm more interested in what's going on with this other skin. It also comes in other colours too apparently...

While I've not much input on the topic of the RIOT mode, I just wanted to say that the example image given for number 13. isn't really a rendering issue. It is just how the map geometry and terrain was created during the games development under Realtime Worlds (RTW). That's not to say it shouldn't be fixed up at some point. Only that the image example isn't a rendering problem.

I though nameplates in these specific game modes were intended to only show up when the person was either firing their weapon, or if you had your crosshair on their character model.

While I've never been a huge fan of the larger-scale, closing zones, kind of gameplay, I must admit it was a more pleasant experience than I had expected. Spawns could definitely still use some work. I had more than one occasion where I would spawn in the middle of a firefight, or even in the same firefight. Outside of that and the bug with showing personal and team kill counts, the gamemode seems to be pretty fine. While I can understand peoples dislike of the player-specific loadouts, it does add a level of planning in the event of your potential demise in the late-game, and the additional costs of respawning. I don't really have any more quarrels otherwise with the modes gameplay. I would like to give some props to the people behind some of the map additions/changes. Some of the ways they utilised existing assets were pretty creative. Interesting to see a variety of different breakable walkway planks being re-used as walls/cover. The looks of little elevated platforms and towers, along with some reasonable cover, were also quite nice to see. I am still on the fence about this backstory stuff so far. It really seems like it's kind of shoe-horned in for the sake of it. Also, if the Redhill Institute Of Technology and Lawrence is going to stay, why not change their icons to fit in with the other contact/organisation icons? Like more white-outlined. Their blue and red colours stick out quite a bit.

While I am more a fan of the Tigers style, I do have a couple of characters that are going for the Praetorian aesthetic. Which does mean that they both get to have a Shadow Strike-esque outfit to go alongside their normal stuff. Her Shadow Strike outfit takes inspiration more from the old Chaos District Shadow Strike contacts rather than just using Templeton's presets. If anyone even still remembers them. Also, if you're going to use the "Defender" Rifleman Config preset, can I please suggest that you at least use one of the larger armored vests. It's just that because of how symbol projections work, using any of the smaller vests/webbings will make the design become misaligned and look incorrect.

Does sound more like a gun game, but yeah Hot Cross Guns was the egg launcher mini-game released back in 2014 -

Is the chosen one event not this years "Hot Cross Guns 2019"? -

While this is all certainly a mishap for Easter, I'm more interested in the fact that there's a human-sized one sitting in Waterfront... Also I'm pretty sure the Chosen One event is supposed to be running as it's an easter-based event as well. Just the whole "no contacts to turn anything in to" is a bit of a challenge. -
I figured it was there as set dressing just like the Intel Room behind Teng, the lockup over by Grissom, the interrogation room over by Ty, the storage space behind Danko, the office/apartment entrance by Arlon, and the SPPD Locker Room by Mirri. They all seem to have no actual collision besides sometimes floor collision, some outside wall collision, and of course prop collisions. Each has their own lighting/shadows as well. In the case of that hallway in particular, there's nothing else past the end of that hallway. Almost all the parts you can't see have their faces removed from the model itself. Secondly, the entrance to the Metropolitan Performing Arts Center seems like a pretty reasonable place for the highly respected/feared businesswoman that is Hea Choi. Big names likely visit the center for all kinds of charity and non-charity events that she likely takes part in. The areas that we, the players, get to run around in is pretty much just the food court. Thirdly, Bowse, Whut, and Gruff are all just Tiptoe's brood. Basically they're just her criminal entourage. Doesn't seem like there'd be much to do with them as they're all just tied into Tiptoe's lore. That said, I've no clue if there were bigger plans for any of those spaces, or if there were bigger plans for Financial/Waterfront in general.

Comes from the "APB April Newsletter (APB Reloaded PC)" that seems to have been sent out. I feel like maybe it was sent out a little earlier than what might have been intended as the Chicken Mask/Suit and the Easter Egg Skin haven't been added back on to ARMAS yet.

That's all pretty cool. The ARG was quite an interesting event to be a part of. Though, this bugs me a bit It's not quite the full picture that was pieced together. That's just the cleaned up mirrored image that Zolerox put together. The pieced together one looked more like:

I'm just sitting here trying to figure out A. Partridge/Patridge/Partidge's password now. (You've got to get on top of that Redhill. You should probably know your employee's names) I'd have thought it would have been something based around her cat Clawdia, but I've not had much luck so far.

1st part says R.I.O.T. Having a bit of trouble deciphering the second part though as it seems to be only 3 lines high. So there's parts missing or jumbled if it's the same graffiti ASCII font as the others Actually it seems the second part is also R.I.O.T just wrapped to 3 lines instead of 6 like the first part.

As far as I can tell, the code probably looks a bit like 6ac20d50-____-4f0f-____-3ec51de745d7 so far. Still lacks two 4 character segments.

He was only recently moved during this ARG when they posted the news story of people dying inside St Medina's Hospital during their treatment of some new sickness. As far as I can tell, they haven't changed anything about the location outside of moving Devil Dog's stuff there

I mean if they wanted to use a new faction, there's already Red Rain and the SPPD who seem to be the Midtown equivalent of Waterfronts Prentiss/Bloodrose and Financials Praetorian/G-King factions. -- On the topic of site updates though, there's quite a bit of interesting stuff. Like what looks like a new weapon skin And what looks like an in-game shot of an employee of the RedHill Institute of Technology There's also a broken page that I think says GO AWAY on it Still trying to figure out what all this stuff is though
-
Oh cool. More progress. But why's Hector and Riddle sending stuff from Bravo's computer? Also is it A. Patridge or A. Partridge? -Apparently it's all now Patridge
-
Yup. And I'm really hoping they're only there for promotional purposes and not intended to be Riot related Going to go with a cautiously optimistic approach to this stuff. Especially in regards to how they're trying to handle the lore...
-
Huh. The plot thickens. Might be interesting to see play out. Though I do now wonder if the inevitable outbreak will happen at St. Medina's or John Holland Uni...

I thought Red Hill was a place out near "Midtown" due to it having a distant association with the Red Rain gang, and being more factory/industrial-orientated city zone. Red Hill is mentioned in Bonita, Arlon, Strega's, and Miguel's biography. It's also mentioned in the Random Reward emails: "Mika Wong Report: PRAETORIANS", "Biography: Nightlife", "Biography: Geography (Part 2)", "Biography: Jane Derren (Part 2)", and "Magazine Excerpt: Effigy (June)".

You need to complete Arlon Benjamin and Michael Simeone to unlock Birth and Tiptoe. Você precisa completar Arlon Benjamin e Michael Simeone para desbloquear Birth and Tiptoe.

I'm unsure of what the "bug/exploit" is here. Yellow (Consumable) mods have a completely separate cooldown timer to Orange (Activation) mods. Changing an Orange mod from a dropped Ammo Box consumable is no different than changing it at a Joker Ammunition Vending Machine, Vehicle Spawner, Car Resupply or Mailbox. Currently, if you use your Orange mod, you will have to wait for that mods specific cooldown time to expire before being able to use it again. Regardless of if you change to a different Orange mod after. The same thing applies for the Yellow mods. Each have their own cooldown time period that you have to wait for, even if changed after use. The cooldown time from Yellow mods do not affect the cooldown time on Orange mods, and vice versa.

[Showcase] Character Customization
Roxl replied to Desumanu's topic in Breakwater Galleria (Creations/Fan Art)
Still working on 2 more characters, and I still feel like I need to revisit a couple of older outfits. I wish the Nylon Flight Jacket allowed necklaces to be worn- 383 replies
