You do realize that doesn't do anything, right? Like, not in the "LO ignores those reports" kind of way. The "/report" command literally doesn't do anything, other than echo that automated system response. It's a placebo, it exists solely to minimize the number of reports submitted to the support staff. Most players don't know that it doesn't do anything, and thus use it (and it alone) thinking that their reports are being received for review. Like, people have literally run controlled tests on it. We know that it doesn't send any packets to the game servers (or any other servers). Plus, there's the simple tests of literally just submitting fake reports filled with the most egregiously offensive things imaginable directed at the theoretical recipients on LO's support staff, yet no punishments returned to the testers.

Why is friendly fire still a thing?

Incorrect. You're thinking of the suicide demerit, which only shows up after your second suicide within a single match. The teamkill demerit shows up on your first teamkill. -

Because your conditionals don't matter. This, simply. -
Imagine thinking the engine upgrade is actually a thing that's coming.
-
Not even remotely, like there's no way it can be interpreted as such. It's a HL2 prequel, from a different point of view. That'd be like calling OpFor HL2, and BlueS HL3. They're just HL1 itself from a different point of view.

They don't ban people for griefing anyways, so why care?
-
The point of the engine upgrade was stated from the beginning back in G1/RG days (and has remained consistent since) to be to bring the game onto the actual UE3.5 engine. APB is running on a beta version of the UE3 engine, with almost every system in the game being held together by code the RTW devs hacked together to brute force the game into the state they wanted. Literally a case of "being held together with hopes and dreams". The engine upgrade was supposed to strip out all of that hacked together code to instead run the game on UE3.5's actual finished platform (which includes support for most of the features the game has). This theoretically results in the game running more stable, and with significantly higher performance baseline. Of course it was (and still is) all just PR bullshit. The engine upgrade isn't a thing that's happening, it's just a carrot on the stick to keep people spending money on a dead game.

They aren't working on UE4 anymore (Matt confirmed this years ago). They're upgrading to UE3.5, and that's the end of it.

Warn/suspend/ban people if they falsely accuse others, like any well moderated game does. Problem solved.

Little Orbit should have just started from scratch.

Then you don't know what pay to win actually means, or were/are unaware of what was present in APB that caused it to apply. -
Which is literally by intentional design. The ones that are meta viable are the exceptions / outliers.

Can Jericho Merge with Citadel already?

In the meantime, it'd be nice to have people to play against. -
Dude has spent years, literally years both before and during LO's ownership, doing literally nothing but griefing every mission he's in (among plenty of other actions that break ToS/CoC). Yet he's still playing freely. Him being one of an endless list of examples of LO's actions proving that they really just don't care about the game at all. They don't take any action against anyone, with the one exception being if you criticize them openly like I'm doing here. This thread will be deleted, and I'll receive at minimum a temporary forum suspension, because LO's fragile ego can't handle being called on their bullshit. It's absolutely pathetic how completely devoid of integrity LO is. They're literally no different to RG, G1, and K2.
-
Once again, they literally can't. LO doesn't own the rights to the IP anymore, what we currently have is the only thing they're allowed to develop.

It's actually running on a beta version of UE3, which is why most of the game is the custom code and brute force hacks to get things functioning at even a basic level (and why everything breaks with the slightest changes). -
Firework Launcher vs Flare Gun

You can purchase a permanent Flare Gun from the JT shop. -
Whatever you gotta tell yourself kiddo.

Upon double-checking, I see that APB:Db is currently slightly out of date, so it's possible there's variance to the current live game ( @Speedz ). I would chalk this up to an error, as they're supposed to have identical stats. -
Firework Launcher vs Flare Gun

Categorically incorrect. Flare Gun - 400 damage per round, 3 shots to kill Firework Launcher - 400 damage per round, 3 shots to kill Aside from the projectile behavior (Flare Gun travels in a soft arc, Firework Launcher travels in a straight line), they are identical. -
Oh look, someone who bought into the PR smoke and mirrors hook, line, and sinker. True, they removed direct JMB purchases. However: Golden JMBs from loyalty still exist, and still work exactly the same. So no, they didn't completely remove JMBs. You still have a random chance to potentially get a legendary for as little as $5. Every $5 is 1% chance for legendary drop when buying JT. You still have a random chance to potentially get a legendary for as little as 2,500 JT (equates to $5). Every 2,500 JT lease has a 5% chance for perm instead. You only get the gun guaranteed when you reach $100 spent. Which is an absolutely absurd price for a single gun. So yea, still feeding off people's gambling addictions. Just slightly less egregious now. Learn how to think for yourself, it kind of helps in life.

Whenever they add more legendaries to prey on people's gambling addictions.

Firework Launcher vs Flare Gun

Firework Launcher is pretty much strictly superior to Flaregun in 99.9% of situations, why are you bitching? -
It continues to amuse me that people still think the engine upgrade is coming. If you've been paying even the slightest attention to things, you'd realize it's a PR stunt to get people to keep playing and spending money on the game for as long as it can be milked. All of the open betas were identical, no improvements or changes made. The things that MattScott blames in those "update" posts, are the same handful of things on a repeating rotating cycle. It's time to wake up and smell the coffee, people.

Day one install, and would be slotted solidly as my #2 priority for luxury spending after my #1 (Arknights). A friend of mine would also hop in without hesitation (and would also spend money). There's 2-3 other people I know who might hop on it too.
