  1. How to fix RFP: Sprint Modifier: 3 -> 1.5 Run Modifier: 1.75 -> 1.1 Walk Modifier: 1.2 -> 1 Jump Modifier: 7 -> 5 Health Damage: 110 -> 125 Dropoff Range: 40m -> 30m Min Damage Range: 55m -> 60m Minimum Damage: 30% -> 50% "Fang" variant: Modification: Improved Rifling 3 -> Improved Rifling 1 "Swift Silver" variant: Modification: Heavy Barrel 1 -> Mobility Sling "Comanche" variant: Modification: Extended Magazine 3 -> Bandolier 1 These changes accomplish the following: Can now be fired from the hip with normal accuracy like it's supposed to be (and used to be capable of). Returns to 3 STK, which makes it viable again. Of the 9 bullets shot, allows for 1 to miss. 8 bullets = 1,000 health damage. Shorter range, but a more gradual falloff with a higher minimum damage keeps it feeling good. Requires all 9 bullets at 31m. Prevents the return of the "pocket OBIR" issue, that led to it being effectively deleted from the game in the first place.
  2. Change consumables to mods with a cooldown, like they should've been in the first place.
  3. Event's back again, and the same old bugs reported in this thread are still around. Pumpkins not making any sound. Pumpkins spawning in areas the player can't access. Pumpkins spawning in areas the player can't even see to shoot at. And much, much more!
  4. Scrollwheel has a reputation because once upon a time, it allowed a certain gun to empty its entire mag in a fraction of a second. However, this stopped being a thing once that gun was given a proper refire rate. It's honestly kinda surprising that this has persisted for so long, since this was only a thing back in beta (can't remember if both CBT and OBT, or just CBT, though).
  5. Reminder that this forum still has a word filter. "Fuck" is okay, but "pussy" is a no no.
  6. It's almost like there's been no new content to make a new pack out of. It's the same event we've had for almost a decade now, and this year there aren't even any rewards.
  7. The correct answer is "never".
  8. This shit isn't in its own district? Again? Great, game's going to be unplayable for two weeks... should give 10k JT to compensate the lost time on legendary leases.
  9. Incorrect. The mod increases the threshold of relative speed at which point a car colliding with you will start causing damage. In other words, a car has to travel faster (relative to your own movement) before it will actually run you down. The difference is significant, and will save you from being run down in most situations (other than just being blindsided).
  10. That would be because they can't do anything about it. One of the first things MattScott did when he took over is strip all powers from the ingame GMs.
  11. That isn't actually human error. The compensation system (which is what causes projectiles, such as rockets and grenades) to behave strangely when near edges of geometry (be it vehicle hitboxes or terrain features like walls) has a very limited angle of operation depending on what projectile and what geometry is involved. You can have fully cleared angles (from any player's PoV) on both the OSMAW and your crosshair, yet still suffer self-destruction, because of this. Speaking from extensive experience here. There's an easy fix as far as the OSMAW and Volcano are concerned. Give them a minimum range to simulate the "arming range" that these kinds of weapons have IRL. This would allow removing that compensation system, since the player would no longer be able to catastrophically misfire their weapon. The rocket would simply hit their car/wall/whatever and drop to the ground harmlessly. The cost would be a lost round of ammunition, which is a fair cost for unskilled play. It would also nerf the abuse case these weapons have, which is point blank suicide shots (or near-suicide if smart and equipped with Flak), potentially allowing the removal of the wind-up timer that was implemented to counter this abuse case.
  12. I have personally observed many of the higher level players are in fact holding back against the lower level players (whenever they can, anyways). Honestly kinda surprised. Lower level players still just stand no chance though. While many of the dethreaters have stopped playing due to to the segregation removal (and thus no longer get their free farm), there's more than enough high level returnees to cover the "curbstomping the lowbies quota".
  13. The newbies can't learn when they just instantly get gibbed the moment they show up. For learning to happen, stuff has to happen to learn from.
  14. That apathy is one of the core reasons cheating is so prevalent in modern multiplayer gaming. Congrats, you're part of the problem. Makes it all the more frustrating for older gamers like myself who know how good things were before.

    Forum segregation

Reminder that modern forum management (not just on APB, this is a universal problem in the industry) doesn't actually know or understand how to manage forums.
  16. Change consumables to mods with a cooldown, like they should've been in the first place.
  17. Both are correct. Those fees are significant, just like any other bank fee. On the second point however, LO would just need to speak with the bank and show proof of the abuse to get their account reactivated. Which circles back to "LO would have to put in even the bare minimum effort" again, of course.
  18. It's about traditional Japanese biker gangs. Nothing inherently racist or objectionable at all. Further info about the anime adaptation: https://myanimelist.net/anime/42249/Tokyo_Revengers Further info about Japanese biker gangs: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bōsōzoku
  19. Just remove the items that were gifted if the gifter chargebacks. It's not complicated... but would require a few seconds of an intern's time, so obviously is too much for LO.
  20. Neat, thanks for the info. We do indeed learn something new every day. I mean, the game's quite fun (when you get decent matches). That fact isn't mutually exclusive with the facts that Little Orbit is just another rebranding of K2 (with extra steps), and MattScott is a scumbag who's openly lying to the community to get people to spend more money on the game (this is known as "predatory marketing" and is both morally and ethically disgusting).
  21. It's adorable that you think that's actually a thing that's happening / going to happen.
  22. The story: https://techraptor.net/gaming/news/descendent-studios-scores-big-win-in-descent-lawsuit Can't stop laughing, prime example of karma at work.
  23. Cheating, griefing, and all sorts of other toxicity runs rampant in the game, and you do literally nothing about it.
