  1. i think its more similar to the shaw vs euryale, where the same range is covered but one does everything better in return for a slightly (.02s) higher ttk the new glory really is a bad gun tho - not accurate enough to take advantage of its hipfire ttk and not enough range to make its marksmanship ttk a viable option, the gun is an awkward mess in basically any engagement you can somewhat fix this by abusing the poorly coded mod and repeatedly toggling marskmanship mode but thats super clunky and not worth the effort imo when you could just use a different AR instead
  2. i'm sorry that your balance suggestion was so poor that it only took a single sentence to poke a giant hole in it, but that seems like it's more a you problem than a me problem just for the record i'm also not the one that immediately jumped to insults when their opinion was challenged not against the current /abandonmission mechanic nor have i ever said otherwise, try again i'm glad that you've decided to agree with me in the end, although from the tone of your post i don't think you even realize it or you do realize and "You know exactly what you are doing, you are deliberately a smartass, you know you troll, but you hide behind wannabe intelligent shallow constructions and conclusions which are seen through like a water."
  3. aren’t you a “forum people” as well?
  4. what logical reason would there be for that distinction? not to mention this would be another indirect nerf to an already relatively underpowered weapon class the only pvp shooter i’ve played without friendly fire was the division and it was a pretty awful mess, with players strafing around and through each other's firing lines with impunity just so enemies never dealt full damage to a single person at a time you’re rewarded by either losing n5/p5 and continuing your mission without interference or getting n0/p0 and thus delaying your next n5/p5 for additional time, both of which are more valuable than the 1500 apb$ in my anecdotal experience - i seem to be faction killed (or even teamkilled) more often than not
  5. there is no further elaboration or context necessary, i stated that the potential for easy abuse such a system would allow applied regardless of cheaters framing it as defending cheaters even after that is just a poor attempt to sidestep discussion about the massive flaw in their suggestion
  6. that’s exactly how problems are solved irl, so i guess it’s just social interaction in general you don’t understand ?
  7. if you wish to fight 20 people at once while trying to solo an objective you’re free to play fight club i fail to see how the open world experience is enhanced by murdering (or being murdered by) your own faction, but you can do that without n5/p5 anyway
  8. why would you ever remove team damage? what about the bounty system makes the game less stale? aside from the fact that it’s been a part of apb for longer than half the other shitty mechanics we have, it offers nothing that you can’t get elsewhere in apb
  9. i don’t believe in utopias at all, but thanks for the classroom motivational poster quote
  10. yes believe it or not there are players that are better than me and players that are equal and players worse than me and these players exist in the same district and i get matched up against all of them on a regular basis what a crazy string of coincidences that happens all the time and yes a single death can lose you a mission even if it’s not the final stage, i have no idea why that’s a difficult concept for you to grasp for criminals only, sadly i generally play enforcer because the pop is favorable
  11. you posted an opinion on a public forum that i disagree with so i felt like i should also post my opinion, in the hopes that our incompetent overlords will see that not everyone agrees with your opinion - are you aware of how balance discussions work? or maybe just social interaction in general? also you accused me of defending cheaters, which deserved at least a casual dismissal
  12. you could be going 4 and 10 in your current mission but because you did well on your last mission, getting 1 more kill will put you at n5/p5 even then “consistently getting kills” does not equate to “completely dominating”, an even match will see you barely breaking even most of the time but you’ll still be popping n5/p5 every other stage this is why it’s a poor mechanic - not only does it punish players for being too good, but it also punishes players for doing ok, and sometimes even for doing poorly
  13. i’m not defending cheaters i’m defending literally anyone who might win against their opposition we both know there’s a significant portion of the population who is only after the easiest missions possible, what do you think those players will do with a system that allows them to quit any mission as soon as they start losing?
  14. notoriety/prestige are not dependent on your current mission performance, please stop using this terrible counter argument
  15. this would just lead to a lot of people quitting missions against anyone better than them, regardless of if they’re cheating or not
  16. listen bud i have a family to feed, so i can't be taking bounties for free, capiche?
  17. its probably a sign from the universe to stop playing this doodoo game
  18. there’s really nothing in the lore that prevents enforcers from fighting each other - the praetorians and the prentiss tigers are two separate factions with differing goals and methods, especially with the ‘escalation’ plot line that was abandoned midway by g1 this has already been touched upon within the riot lore (which was horrible, but still exists), with the prentiss tigers fighting against the praetorians
  19. it will never be never aside from the fact that there really shouldn’t be this kind of skill disparity in any given mission, on jericho there are plenty of people who don’t abandon missions and plenty of missions that don’t start until opposed
  20. i don’t see the point in forcing uneven teams - all that’s going to do is increase toxicity towards new/low skilled players imo, especially among the golds who aren’t good enough to carry
  21. we are a good bad example, the fractional percentage of millions of people who have tried apb and didn’t quit this is not a good ratio, and while i’m aware there are a lot of reasons people quit besides new player experience that doesn’t change the hundreds upon hundreds of negative reviews about said poor experience from a business standpoint new players are probably slightly more important, the gaming industry has been moving away from maintaining a small number of veteran players as “whales” and moving towards enticing a large number of players spending a small amount of money even little orbit recognizes this, evidenced by them lowering microtransaction prices and (supposedly) moving armas to account bound and then with apb’s specific situation, where id bet a large majority of veterans are aware that spending money on a game that 3 companies have consistently failed to improve is not a good idea, if they haven’t already purchased everything they want already at the end of the day neither group can be discarded - apb isn’t going to survive on the 600 veterans that still play, but changing apb to appeal to a constantly rotating population of new players will leave us high and dry when inevitably there’s no one new left to try the game
  22. not every gold wants to babysit during their play session, and not every gold is capable of babysitting /abandonmission already only works on unopposed missions, i’d rather orbit cracked down even harder on people who afk opposed missions instead
  23. i hope this is just referring to the current state of the game, because otherwise new players are absolutely necessary - where do you think all the veterans come from?
