given the, uh, quality differences between the sweaters in the contest image i can only assume several different people designed them maybe the orbit staff had their own ugly sweater contest already
-
you probably are tbh, a quick google search shows that this sweater concept is not exactly uncommon its just a bad pun dont make it weird
-
the server merge will have no effect on advanced launcher we've already been told that the advanced launcher will be officially allowed by little orbit until the engine upgrade, at which point most of the advanced launcher settings will be available in the ingame options so i guess i'll be just fine, thanks for asking
-
your "research" seems to conveniently overlook that most (alleged) cheaters use advanced launcher because most of the population uses advanced launcher i'm also hesitant to believe anyone who thinks apb - the game with thousands upon thousands of reviews citing poor performance from rtw day 1, up to and including the 3 separate dev teams themselves acknowledging the poor performance over the years - "runs fine"

are you even jewish or are you just getting offended for other people like a busybody

iirc its ten thousand constructive practice hours is considered as mastery for almost any activity

OCA Nano mission impossible....to get
vsb replied to Kommaranda's topic in General Discussion Archive
grinding for JT is a great way to encourage players to play, but that doesn't mean there can't be alternative methods added as cookypuss said, a more expanded rare daily system with more rewards offers more chances to "hook" a player -

i’d much rather the rare daily system was expanded on rather than deleted, i think we need more ways to encourage people to log in and play not less -

poor citadel players, without the lag there's no reason for them to stay away from playing apb anymore my condolences

inb4 "lore is gay" nice quiz, there are some pretty deep cuts i think #2-10 is a little vague, as 3 of the 4 options all operate in a kind of equivalent authority position

if you want to see how a b2p game discourages cheaters (hint: it doesn’t) look at csgo - despite being a b2p game for years it’s infested with cheaters so they added a second b2p barrier and that’s full of cheaters too, even the highly invasive esea and faceit communities have cheating problems that’s not even taking into account how many people would even be willing to buy apb upfront in the first place, forget $60 i’d bet most potential players wouldn’t even be willing to pay $15 just to play apb in its current state - at that rate even if every active player bought apb it wouldn’t be enough to pay for a single devs salary and you seem to be suggesting that players would have to buy apb and then still have to pay for armas content via microtransactions you are aware that’s the exact business model that’s getting massive negative pr in the gaming industry at this time right? maybe it’s just me but i don’t think apb needs another negative perception for reviewers to latch onto in the end making apb b2p might get rid of cheaters but only because no one would be playing (or paying), cheater or legit

When is someone considered a veteran in apb?
vsb replied to foscor77's topic in General Discussion Archive
don’t even need to social idle, last i checked the steam client still bugs out and records apb as running even after you shut apb down :^) -
How much money have you lost through trading?
vsb replied to foscor77's topic in General Discussion Archive
successful traders are not welcome here -
yeah that would shut apb down really quick

the keyword here is current in my experience all i have to do to hit n5/p5 on a fairly regular basis is actively contribute to every mission, because notoriety/prestige increase far faster than they decrease - players don’t need to be big owners going “15/0” every mission to max out notoriety/prestige i regularly go n5/p5 even when i have a negative kdr or when i’m losing a mission, what part of that is a “balancing” factor? i wasn’t speaking about bronze or silvers, probably should have specified but i didn’t think anyone would use the most extreme example of matchmaking imbalance it’s perfectly normal and common for a group of golds to stomp another group of golds, but because the golds getting stomped have had a few more balanced missions beforehand (again, n5/p5 isn’t based just on the current mission performance) they’re at risk of popping n5/p5 regardless i already explained that receiving n0/p0 would be a reward for most players, encouraging rather than discouraging faction killing and adding heavier penalties to the current flawed system to try and force players to comply instead of fixing the system is stupid

vsb replied to foscor77's topic in General Discussion Archive
idk if it really counts as losing but since the trading system was implemented i’ve probably given away dozens of legendaries, mods, and vehicles it's a lot easier to be “generous” when you don’t have to interrupt your play session to swap districts to social and back -
this is all well and good but as has been repeatedly pointed out, notoriety/prestige are not dependent on current mission performance - so in match type 1 you could have just shifted the tides yourself only to go n5/p5 and have everything go to shit, in match type 2 you can get a lucky kill on significantly more skilled opp and go n5/p5 (with all its disadvantages) and now not only are you getting rolled but your opp gets an extra bonus for beating up scrubs nor do any of these scenarios account for random n5/p5 players interfering with your mission, or the fact that in reality most of these "balancing" n5/p5 deaths are caused by faction killing (i assume you aren't advocating that faction killing is actually a good balancing mechanic), or the fact that these "balancing" n5/p5 deaths often never actually happen because the n5/p5 player immediately faction kills the nearest unfortunate victim like most unchanged apb mechanics the bounty feature exists because the mission system and overall balance were significantly different during rtw, the notoriety/prestige system is just a leftover relic that doesnt accomplish anything except adding frustration to current apb
