  1. Just like all other F2P games out there, no there is no ban that can stop them from coming back on a reroll.
  2. IP bans and HWID bans make literally no difference, all you gotta do is google spoof HWID or get a VPN and both of those will be a joke to you. If someone wants to, they can circumvent any kind of ban you try to put down.
  3. 1. Yep that was about the state of affairs before LO 2. A: You contradicted yourself. B: They added BattlEye as a clientside solution + a proprietary serverside solution that we know jacksquat about, neither of which have been removed. 3. >Implying everyone banned by FairFight was cheating. 4. because migrating a server that has serious trouble filling a single district is apparently "releasing a horde."
  4. You're confusing the SPCT with the SPCM. the T in SPCT is for Tester, the M in SPCM is for Mentor. We're not the SPCM. Frankly as a member of the SPCT I probably have a better idea of what our task is than you do.
  5. Still, by Matt's own admission SPCT members are normal members in every way, with the sole exception that we also test things. We hold no community position, we have no authority and no powers. Honestly we shouldn't even be marked the way we are on the forums but that's a different matter entirely.
  6. Since when are testers considered role models?
  7. Waiting for support is your only option at this point, nothing forum users can do to help.
  8. Nobody needs a macro to drop an item after being shot. Dropping an item is literally as easy as pressing LMB, if you think people are macroing that you need to take off the tinfoil hat.
  9. Lets say hypothetically there would be an advantage to rapidly switching shoulders (hint: there isn't), no, it would not be bannable, neither is jump kicking doors open, jump carrying medium items, stutter walking heavy items or blocking ladders with shields. Are those dirty tactics that mess with the intended balance of the game? Absolutely. Are they cheating? Not even close.
  10. I like to think I play APB fairly regularly. I also like to think that I'm pretty chill about winning or losing and I really have very little ego or time invested in being "good." From that perspective I can assure you, cheating exists and cheaters do take time to get banned sometimes, but they are far from the only or even biggest problem APB faces. If you see a cheater don't go "waaa reporting doesn't do anything" because they're not insta smited by the mighty fist of Matt. Yes, it takes support a while to get to your ticket, it has gotten a lot better lately though. After they get to your ticket, if you provided good and substantial evidence it shouldn't take long for them to take action. Using the ingame report also helps.
  11. This isn't even remotely what anyone would consider content, but it certainly wouldn't be a bad thing to have, even if I personally couldn't care less about leaderboards. A more detailed player stats breakdown would be pretty cool too though
  12. That's intentional, every player has exactly the same hitbox no matter their visual size so that people playing tiny female characters don't have an advantage.
  13. You seem to very clearly not be familiar with this game's notorious spaghetti code. There is no doubt in my mind that if LO would want to do this it'd be a huge headache and would end up not working at all or properly. A lot of things that we consider simple (and some that are simple in other environments) can be incredibly convoluted and complex in APB's code and could have far reaching unforeseen consequences if changed. That said, I do agree that something needs to be done about district selection, but your proposed solution is more working around the core issue. Instead of making it easier for the player to pick the correct district, the automatic district selection should behave more like a player does; i.e. pick the lowest threat district with the highest pop possible. Obviously all of this becomes obsolete if district phasing works out in the end.
  14. IMO that pack was far from good. Even as a non-premium player you make more than enough cash with very little effort to afford all the no-slot guns in the game. Like, you make that kind of money in a handful of missions at most. Especially since we can extend leases without having to buy the guns again from contacts just makes the convenience of that back be worth even less. I'm not sure I would go all the way and say the pack was a scam, but damn if it's not close. Also I am fairly certain the price you listed was on sale, I recall it being around the 2k mark.
  15. It's still a slow 3-shot kill as opposed to the fast 2 shot kill of the JG. Even if you have bad RNG and have to do a 3 shot, it's still faster than the Thunder. The Thunder also quickly turns into a 4-shot kill which takes stupidly long, considering in most firefights a thunder will only get 2 shots off.
  16. The only thing good about the Thunder is that people don't usually expect the amount of damage it does at longer-than-normal range for shotguns. It's TTK is very high and completely unforgiving of errors, especially when compared to other shotguns.
  17. I think losing some things like that is a small price to pay for people to be able to play on their old mains instead of new chars on citadel, though I will say that I wouldn't mind some of their unique guns to show up on the main game, like the UL-3 as you mentioned.
  18. Why just crims? give everyone the car.
  19. Great in theory, though my experience with other games that have nationality based chats. they often get left unused unless it is enforced either automatically (can't use Cyrillic letters in euro chat for example) or manually (GM presence).
  20. There never was a weapon skin editor for APB, not sure where you got that info from.
  21. As some of you may be aware, over the last few weeks I've been going crazy modeling weapons. Specifically I decided to do my best to replicate the style of weapons as they are in APB. It was my absolute end-goal to reach a standard of quality that is equal or even supersedes what was made by RTW/Reloaded. I also specifically designed several models that I believe would fill in gaps nicely in the current weapon roster, i.e. reskins for guns that currently lack them. First, a foreword to how APB weapons actually work. Unlike most games out there, APB has a rather robust (and criminally underused) customisation system. Every weapon is made up of 5 textures: A diffuse, which is used as the template for a guns texture, a normal which gives it 3D detail, a specular texture which is used to determine how shiny parts are and finally 2 colour masks which are used to determine how things are coloured by skins. The Alpha channels for these also hold the transparency information in the first map and the scratches detail mask in the second map Here are some example textures (based on my OMS pistol) OMS (Obeya Military Sidearm) STAR-X8 series EBR-762 MSR (Magnum Sniper Rifle) PASG-7 (Police Action Shotgun) N-AMP 95 (Automatic Machine Pistol) SAW 556 (placeholder name, can't think of a good one) with those huge walls of images out of the way (and neatly hidden in spoilers), I'm still not done making models, I just felt that now that I have at least one of every category it was time to share.
  22. I'm aware it's an issue, but at the same time it's still better than getting destroyed on FC by people who play nothing but FC all day, which make up the vast majority of the players there.
  23. Doing missions in bronze is infinitely fairer for them than to try do anything in FC. Like, FC is where players go after they're done with progression and just want to grind weapon roles. The average skill level on FC is magnitudes higher than mission districts, especially bronze. Aside from that, even disregarding that, FC is confusing for someone who has not fully grasped the game yet, and is completely non-representative of the game, as such, a new player should not accidentally be able to get there.
  24. If you mean the rank restriction, kinda debatable. It helps prevent complete newbies from accidentally wandering into FC and getting thoroughly confused and destroyed, while also not really limiting any experienced player from accessing it since R30 is really easy to get to, like, we're talking a couple of hours at most without prem, if not even less.
