  1. My feedback may seem rude, it's not intentional, but I don't hold back much either, so bear with me and remember this is just an opinion: Every time I see a "Weapon Balance" thread I prepare for a few face palms, this one, admittedly less so, so whoever is working on this is grasping APB's flow of gun play over time, however, for the bigger part, I still see LO's idea is to nerf most weapons to a weak balance rather than fix the few that were off charts and have what APB originally had as balance. Ursus: * Delay before bloom begins to recover: 0.075 -> 0.085 (Nerf) it was not very viable close range, a nerf wouldn't have been bad, but this nerf affects its long range capability, thus I think it's a bad one. the movement penalty, if it does not affect crouched movement, then it's a good change for sure, if it does affect, then it's a bad imo. OCA: I said it quite clearly that it was a terrible move and finally now you can admit it too. Whisper: I think it's a good idea, consistency over power PMG: * Accuracy at 10m: 33 -> 34 (Nerf) Yes, it was terribly OP in comparison to other weapons, but now with the scale back of OCA, this PMG's nerf will be an overshoot, namely, base accuracy is already somewhat bad, I think it should've been kept exactly at that, while doing the other applied nerfs Cap40: At initial release, this gun was quite acceptable, it was ever so slightly weaker than OCA, but it can be remediated by the fact that it has a piercing mode, but later on, it was simply unusable, the wording that it is due to Cooling Jacket is inaccurate, I use Reflex Sight 3 with it and it still is extremely unreliable and slow to kill, I'm not sure how much those buff numbers will change that but they seem too small FAR: Let's see how this turns out, I think the gun was much better balanced than NTEC-5 after all the nerfs, hopefully this will keep it that way ATAC: Makes sense, jump penalty would've made more sense to match COBR-A NTEC-5: Doubt this is enough to make it viable, but a start. SNR 850 (Snub Nose): Really? who the hell though to nerf this? the problem is clearly the shotguns being completely broken, not one of the worst and weakest pistols in game, in addition, snub's only role was that you could draw it quick. Fix the guns, don't break this tiny poop of a gun even more OBIR: The problem is not quick switching, it's also not the ammo pool, most certainly, the gun is extremely OP, accurate in most scenarios and extremely heavy damage, this "nerf" affects none of it's traits and it will continue to be just as OP, even more so when you nerf other weapons. Scout: This is an old problem, since some cryhards spammed the forum and removed the jump shooting and lowered the accuracy, this has been a straight downgrade from NHVR, even with your new buff, though it helps somewhat (with NHVR nerf), the equip time is change is pretty bad though, the gun is not used for classic quick switching, switching happens rarely in somewhat close range (where Scout should differ from NHVR that it can still have hopes of fighting, due to mobility, that's the intended role & balance which was destroyed by G1), people switch to secondary to finish off the target, which is the normal secondary role. ACT 44: I think the ACT 44 was quite balanced, it certainly didn't feel OP, this is likely a bad move PIG, NHVR, Manic, SR15, RSA & N-ISSR-B: Let's see how that turns out ----Where the hell is the OSCAR nerf? I really hope you're cooking some mega nerf that's why it's not here yet, the gun is THE most broken piece of anything in APB, by far.
  2. I still try to find time for some missions after work, and personal project, then I get my butt handed to me coz I haven't been playing much.. Would really love to see refreshing content, engine, contacts, and that fan made district, that'd most certainly be worth marketing campaigns
  3. Rotation would've been ideal, but since it's not possible, I'd go with Territory control so we can at least have something fresher till we miss death match more
  4. High Burn Fuel will now reduce Vehicle HP by 15%, in addition to its current effect. - Overkill Consumable Changes Mobile Cover (orange mod) Cooldown: 120s - Why not a short cooldown that starts when you cancel the shield? Duration: 60s - Unnecessarily short Resupply Box - Should give all types of ammo & include inventory access Cooldown: 180s Duration: 90s Boombox - I'm sorry, but this is the solid proof that whoever is doing the balance has no idea what APB is, who even uses this thing? it was useless before you put any timers on it, was only used for music, it needed a strong buff, but you think it's more useful than Resupply Box & Shield.. Cooldown: 60s Duration: 45s Weapon Changes Reduced Blowtorch healing rate by 46% - Overkill Reduced AAEPD 'Volcano JC' max hard damage from 1227 -> 800 - Overkill for a weapon that already needed a slight buff. Reduced ISSR-B hard damage from 72.9 -> 45 - Completely unnecessary, the gun is already surpassed by other snipers, it's role balance is that you can do hard damage with it Reduced SWARM hard damage from 50.7 -> 40.95 - - Same as ISSR-B Car Changes Modified the HP values for cars in the following way: Bishada: 900 -> 1,150 (HBF 977) - This is now better than Jericho, due to better grip & suspension Jericho: 1,100 -> 1,150 (HBF 977) - Slightly better ramming power compared to Bishada doesn't justify the other differences Vegas 4x4: 1,350 -> 1,150 (HBF 977) - There is no reason regular Vegas should have significantly higher HP
  5. I wouldn't risk it, and probably not, they'd not put an expiration time altogether for them
  6. A question regarding premium, the loyalty awards codes are expiring soon, irrelevant of when they were awarded, is that intended? will they expire? unless that's intended, new codes won't work either
  7. People have already mentioned this already, but the upgrade is not only for player direct simple experience, it allows integrating all sorts of systems a lot easier, including anti cheat, possibilities for better player match making, dynamic population merging, relying on better systems for their tools for content creation, probably even higher limitations on some things With that said, the problem you experience is not due to cheaters only, they are a small minority in this game, the cheater epidemics are gone and now there are just a few here and there, what you see is extremely old players, extremely skilled, playing with a lot less experienced players, things they do may seem like blatant cheating when it is most often not. This can be fixed with better matchmaking in my opinion, the problem is not even that, the system may be very good, but the population to choose from is extremely small, if they manage to make the dynamic migration of population among servers, the matchmaking will be at least a tenfold better, as the system will have a pool of all available players for missions, and merge them together in a single server to play, so their skill levels will be a lot closer, combine that with (IF) larger community, and the pool will be even more diverse and filled with newer players. LO seem to be playing their cards right on the technical challenges, the challenge that remains to be seen is if they have a solid plan of bringing new players and keeping them with new content, but most likely, they wouldn't invest so much in the technical if they don't have a plan for player base too, that's where the return of investment is, afterall.
  8. 1v1 is still there, due to bugs possibly, I think it should be an option, inspect -> challenge. 2v2 are fun missions, often more fun than 4v4
  9. I'm sure if you bought a brand new laptop, fresh out of the box, that did not cost 2000€, the situation would have been entirely different.
  10. Looking back at my list in your quote, I think you're right tbh, they confused me a bit when assigning them, they probably need just a minor buff, Cap40 used to be solid, exactly an alternative to oca / pmg / tommy around the time it was released, Trouble Maker was OP at that time, now though I can still make acceptable kills with them, they're not useless
  11. Nice thing you got there, thanks for sharing. I didn't find some guns in there, like Oblivion & Corsair which are weak in my opinion, I've also neglected a few guns I'm not familiar enough with. FFA I'm assuming it's Bullshark, I'd treat the R&D III as Obir.
  12. Crown is the silliest thing in APB, why bother? no use, looks ugly, super expensive, and every other player has it..
  13. I mean, yes you can farm that, I have kinda forgotten, but they also farm the event rewards.. Besides, farming 20k? I think it would take forever even there, especially that I don't think you can camp with friends forever, it's crowded and chaotic and everyone's bound to run into other enemies.. But ty for the reply, better than all those random dislikes keeping me puzzled so as to why people hate the idea :))
  14. Why just why do weapon roles not count in event districts, this was the issue with every event, and I think it annoys a lot of players not just me. For around 20k per weapon role, which is already a really high number to achieve, I don't think the event kills "ruin" the grind, this only serves to discourage the players from playing the event unless they really need that event's rewards. Is this some sort of technical limitation due to the code, or is it intended? Is there any chance to see it gone in future events? Side note I like this event, though the frames are under the carpet in some games, but they're fun and short, and the dev guns are a nice change
  15. Well yes, sorry I didn't do the math when I'm hyped reading the other tab :))
  16. Awesome, beautiful work people, give a big clap for your team from us. Just making sure, the announcement says there is a 1% chance for a legendary at every 500JT purchased, if you buy a pack of more JT, this is automatically stacked, right? Edit to remove my math
  17. N66

    reduce perc AOE range

Nah, that's why they're laughing stock, just like NFAS, easy to use, but weak.
  18. Though I agree with you that it needs to be released ASAP, and though what you say about a large number of testers and a variety of hardware is correct, but some issues cannot be released to Beta, if the game crashes consistently at a common part, the Beta will be unplayable at all, and the data gathered will report the same crash over and over again, only giving chance for people to be grumpy, and less change for them to play the beta. That's why a better approach may be to fix known reproduce-able crashes, as they're probably game blockers, then release it with lower severity or reproduction issues, and even lack of minor features
  19. No he's right, if you sit close to a car and fire it'll fire at a wrong angle, but in a straight line, an issue probably dating all the way back to RTW
  20. Very late edit, just realized you asked about Armas, somehow I read Joker, my bad Off the top of my head AP45, 4x4 customizable with kits, NSSW (3slot), Atac (3slot), TAS/CSG, whatever has the option to be account bound, it's worth it. And avoid buying reskins or items that are given as loyalty awards
  21. I so wish we will see this in game, APB is in dire need of a new district, it can be used to bring a lot of players
  22. As you said, the learning curve is steep, so the amount of valid advice you can get is huge, I'll throw in a few and try to keep them short. Navigation: - As _chain said, the ability of "cheesing" obstacles is intentionally built into the map, so when you're good you can hop around for shortcuts or positional advantage, or at least to avoid the disadvantage of for ex jumping a fence with "F" - Almost always, if you jump a fence / climb a ladder / open a door, with an enemy waiting for you, you'll die, if you suspect they're near, then yes, they're waiting for you. - When you open doors, you can jump to a side and press F to open it while not static and in the open, there is no disadvantage to this over opening normally. - Don't go in the open, don't lose cover, the only time you do this is when you KNOW there is no one around because they left / died etc, that must be a main focus. Fighting: - I'll go against multiple players with this, but my advice is to use multiple weapons, depending on stage area, switch to a proper weapon, close/mid/long range or anti vehicle. - Force the enemy to your gun range whenever possible, that's a significant advantage. - If you feel relatively confident in your accuracy, take a primary for a range and a secondary for the opposite range, FBW + Sniper, Submachine gun/Shotgun + revolver (Act44 / RSA) - Unless you're dominating the enemy, car spawners are very useful. - If you made a fuss, don't expect the enemy to have "forgotten" they'll either be flanking you or waiting for you. - It's too early for Less Than Lethal weapons, you'll be in a disadvantage if you use them. - Most of the time, it's better to cook a grenade before you throw it (duh) - Concussion grenades (green smoke trail) do about 95% damage, and can destroy most regular vehicles with 1 hit. - Frag grenades (starter, white trail) do about the same damage vs people, but less vs vehicles, their advantage is that they have significantly larger radius of explosion. Money: - Yes, ram raiding as crim makes ok money, but it can be stolen by enforcers, it also takes away the fun of playing APB replacing it with a long grind. - A better alternative to ram raiding, if you have the ability, is to make in game music / symbols & sell them, that's far faster. - Don't focus on money, focus on missions & playing, money will come. Get yourself some regular mates to play with, it's more fun, don't bother with the toxicity, /ignore is your friend, you can unignore later. Welcome to APB, I hope this will make your experience more fun, if you have any sort of questions you can message me in game too (N66, Citadel server)
