Reprimand 101 Posted Monday at 06:40 PM (edited) I'm glad you posted this as I've just returned from a brief hiatus and things seem a little better than the last time: Here's the good: Escalation seems more balanced than the backup function, and matches tend to go on for a nice amount of time with the right players being called in to help others out. The game doesn't seem as laggy as it used to, it's running well and those who are there seem to at least be having a good time. There's a new modification, the requirements for tagger and the like have been dropped which means that I can finally put them on some of my guns. Here's the bad: I really think some of the guns need some serious alterations, especially mods and stats wise. Red silencer mod should be removed and replaced with purple, the game should really model itself around some of the best guns. There should be a marketplace for ordinary weapons because the same 5 legendaries are there and it's an ache, guns bought from ARMAS Marketplace should be traded in some way, even if it's through an NPC? Health is too low, it should be much higher for what it is. The Contacts should be revamped as the grind is still pretty much a slog, it should be a lot faster to get through contacts. We just need more updates and experimenting, you have the groundwork of what is quite clearly an amazing game, but you've got to push a little further I feel and cut the crust off the edges. There should be volunteers, or more people in game to help catch cheaters or even take action mid-match. There's some names floating around and it seems the same suspects keep getting away with nonsense. Do more minigames, or bake them into the code so players don't have to wait for a GM to come along and do it. The world feels barren otherwise. Just my two cents. EDIT: Also the page for the Armas Marketplace needs adjusting, there's pages missing for weapons you can still buy and weapon clones aren't really organised as they should be. Will you consider lowering overall RNG of the game and transitioning to a bit longer TTK, as the game was originally intended to (perhaps even make ADS 100% accurate for all guns). Perhaps even properly done RTW/High TTK districts without the original RNG garbage the old administration served us? 2.) Trimming/slimming down mod selection since they interfere with balancing (some mods should not exist at all, such as some red mods - CJ3, IR3,.. on top of my head. RS3 is useless, Slimming down green mods & adjusting blue mods for characters is also something to look at). WIll this ever occur? 3) Unbalanced missions (or even simpler, obscure game mode choices for FC) when are they getting tackled? 4.) Waterfront is long due for an overhaul (old forum had a great thread on suggestions as to what to change with screenshots of problematic spots) Will you ever detail the your plans with it? [take a look at Dopefish suggestion thread at my post below] UI questions 1.) UI changes / unification of UI interfaces (inconsistency between Scaleform & Kismet frameworks) When will this happen? The UX is hideous right now (queue system, hello?..) 2.) Why can't we have all 3 FC maps simultaneously running, now that the game is 64bit? Is this a UI limitation? That was the last answer I had on this topic. 3.) You still cannot preview ARMAS clothing items individually, as seen with the release of the new bundles), Will this ever happen? Considering APB's main monetization relies on customization, I'm baffled this wasn't considered yet. 4.) Why are we still not able to uncap FPS in-game and have a adjustable in-game FPS cap? (using WaitablSwapChains for proper CPU/GPU synchro, even Trackmania in 2009 had this...) Can we also get a OneThreadFrameLag toggle in-game already too? Most of the innovations pursue the interests of a bunch of local old-timers obsessed with fighting. Your game contains a unique customization system. It is this property that has always attracted and attracts newcomers. But you persistently develop the game as a shooter. A low-quality lagging shooter. This genre pulls a huge wagon of crutches. What you're aiming for is pretty easy to achieve. Create a copy of the game with customization disabled, vegas, ntek, AP 45 and Flaws configs. These keyboards have a lower than usual activation time and can allow for spamming of inputs. Just asking because I logged in to the Christmas update (Mobilize) and got kicked twice in 30 minutes. It's probably not, since the whole server crashed. Still wondering if that's the cause of kicking. 2. Can we have numbers for detections by SARD so far? Hitreg is fixed by playing the most accurate guns in Marksmanship mode such as the Scout (with HS3), ISSR-B, Oblivion, Coroner and hoping the server will register shots. The question was is sard fully active in NA? Due to it might cost more to run it on both eu and na. And with said knowns still in district, if sard doesn't catch them it wont catch anyone, in my opinion. Ah not my problem, I'm not even salty towards the particular people, just that if it dint get them, I don't see how it will get anyone else.
