Shhh. I'm entitled. I have right to demand, you have no right to question my logic. /s -

Since i'm about to get 100,000 kills myself instead of creating new thread I decided to dig out this one. Now. As reward I demand only money. Of course joke but if you want to give me 100 k $ irl. that would fix all my current problems. -
^ Mentally unstable people shouldn't make decision about game.

Apology to the community for this last week
Mitne replied to MattScott's topic in General Discussion Archive
"Problem #2: Shortly after we went live, the brand new RAID controller in our new primary database server quickly degraded in performance. To make the situation worse, we rushed to get servers back online and decided it would be okay to let players back in while the secondary database server finished syncing. The hardware failure hit so quickly that the secondary wasn't ready, so we couldn't failover. At this point we made an effort to keep the servers online through the weekend, and while our jury-rigged fix allowed some players to get on, it also lead to many other players being unable to login (Error 9). The team decided the quickest way to fix the issue would be to build an entirely new primary database server and then swapping everything over on Monday. We didn't want to risk moving damaged drives to the new servers, so we needed a complete backup to make sure we didn't lose anything." ~ Matt Scott They basically explained their actions pretty correctly and what they did was pretty clear. Secondary database is still "old good one" but their were just synch it up with new primary database but they rushed it and done oopsie while at that. Also they didn't knew WHEN they gonna fix it, that's why they kept pushing dates. It's all fun to talk like that from our perspective but we talk about not GBs of data but TBs which somehow need to be moved from damaged database. And then try to find new RAID controller over weekend... etc. etc. Be glad we still aren't under old G1 - it most likely would end up with death of game in their case. But yeah, I kinda warned you about inherted G1 hardware, LO. -
But... what is your question?
-
Phi. If you build PC for APB (and APB only) might as well use Intel Quad core. Not like it makes huge difference with how game runs.
-
Hah. Been observing what is going on for bigger part of week. Honestly all I do right now is laugh. Btw. to get feel how frustrating this thing might been to players who even tried to play that days (I didn't. Didn't had to, thanks God) - https://will.io/apb/ Whole chart is so broken from all downtimes. There were also signs of trouble at 1st of May.
-
Hmph. I always was telling that old G1 was pretty arbitrary in their actions. Also their response is another PR disaster then.
-
Yeah. Problem is ToS states that GamersFirst can do whatever they want with accounts as they "own them". Unjustifed bans for their own mistake included. Still if you do that - it's PR disaster. Did they even offer refund btw?

Yearly cash flow and we talk monthly cash flow. If we break it - 1 million into 12 parts it's not that impressive. Now LO got according to crunchbase got around 11 to 50 employees (https://www.crunchbase.com/organization/little-orbit#section-overview) ~ 83333$ monthly -> and you need to pay employees, fund project, host game servers and have additional things like outsourcing work and PR stuff. And of course I know financial reports are for year, not for month but I hope you get idea. There also costs of game and income from it. If it's positive and company is getting profit, i don't see why close up company or why close up game. Possible FE might be in that positive as well as Gamersfirst company.
-
It's not opinion. It's business analysis.
-
Long term i don't see any return from GamersFirst as well. Right now we got dwindling population to that. Meaning lesser and lesser income received unless players start to spend more. Close it up before it's too late! Don't try to turn around argument YOU yourself provided.
-
If you ask me about "business perspective" and we all about profit. Then close up GamersFirst. You not gonna get any buck from it as of current. 400 players in APB alone and even if all of them spend 20$ monthly it's 8000$ of income. Try to keep up, update game and respond to players for 8000$ per month. Imagine employing people for that cash. Oh wait. Thank God you don't decide for LO.

Little Orbit is the new GamersFirst?

Sony approves updates. Maybe it will appear at later date. -
Hey. I'm from section of APB part of forum but some discussion brewed up related to your game there and I think you all should drop in some opinion. Especially since it's about FE.
-
I dunno what to feel about this issue. On one hand I agree. FE almost sure is just cost by now. It doesn't look like population will ever go back to normal as well (for all two games, APB included). But then on other hand... I fell like we talking for FE community. I'm pretty sure whatever players remained in game, enjoy themselves. Imagine FE players deciding for fate of APB if situations were reversed. I don't think it's fair talking for them. FE problem is that it's always just "APB, APB, APB" - when FE is like any MMO RPG out there and should be promoted as well - MMO RPGs are pretty simple and dumb rough enough concept to attract some players (as long as servers are alive and mechanics make sense). But then I don't know pretty much anything about FE, might drop in out of interest - because I will be honest. I never played it. Edit: Also snitched this thread to FE players. Honestly they got more knowledge about they own game than any of us APB players (unless some of us are also FE players).

First of all. I didn't saw anybody from PS4 telling us that they have server issues - when PC server had issues, there were a lot of reports from us. You expect LO to know via telepathy something is wrong? Second matter - threats won't help at all and honestly fuck off with your threats. Might as well realize them. We don't negotiate with terrorists. Third and final thing. Alright you want "changes" - what changes? Because if this is just server fix then PS4 players set bar pretty low... assuming you represent them. Which i doubt much. Edit: Adding to third matter. We didn't received any major updates as well amigo. -
I think he though it's 1200$ for name change. Lmao

Fix Colby 1922 Hazardous/mk2/mk3
Mitne replied to RAREInMiamiBitch's topic in General Discussion Archive
Seeing how some use this gun no problemo, full burst... i'm not really sure, that is true /s It needs some fix to be revelant though, honestly. I guess good competitor for it would be ACES series. -
Also teleporting in car is half problem, entering animation is so fast that it's easy to skip "last chance" to shot guy down.

RIOT Open Test Postponed to 5/10 (UPDATED 5/1)

Day of Polish Constitution! -
Well... but what alternative you propose? Being totally cut off from entering car?
-
My favorite "cheesing" tactic is abusing car mechanics if it's possible. It's easy to anyone. Just grab car, drive everywhere, jump out when enemy is exposed, jump in when you are about to die, drive off if you are in danger. It probably wouldn't be that much of thing if players inside car would be exposed.

I think this changes might make RIOT actually mode which might be enjoyable to play, like others. -
RIOT Stress Test 4/24 Feedback Thread
Mitne replied to MattScott's topic in General Discussion Archive
1. If RIOT would be gamemode in any other game I would probably compare it to what GTA SA:MP Battle Royales modes offer. It's as lifeless as this gamemode. The closest I can compare it to any gamemode in APB? At current only FC. 2. I'm not really sure RIOT at current state would be selling point for my friends... 3. BR where you choose which zones are locked out. 4. Spectator mode which is utmost boring state. BR shouldn't be boring because you died - you should just jump on new match and do your own thing. 5. Insane map. (All it misses is some atmosphere - like constant gunshots in background, yells, explosions etc. - something which you would hear in real life widespread active civil war) 6. All... that... waiting! (Waiting to join district, then waiting to have another chance to play. Ugh. It doesn't help me learn or enjoy this gamemode at all. This is first gamemode where I felt genuine boredom).
