  1. You seem to have missed the memo where the GMs have no power to do anything. MattScott revoked their ability to do anything when LO took over the game.
  2. Ah yes, I too enjoy my car exploding from a single concussion grenade with no time to react! Armored Engine is a terrible mod, especially since everyone runs concussion grenades now that low-yields got effectively deleted from the game. For the OP, it depends slightly on your group composition. - Nitro Booster 3 is mandatory, just like on any other speed-oriented car. - Fast-Fix Chassis 3 is "mandatory" in the sense that nothing else really fits the slot anymore. - Fireproofing 3 is your best bang for the slot here. Increases effective vehicle health with no downside. Chassis Strengthening 3 is an okay alternative if you crash into stuff a lot. - One member of your group should run Mobile Supply Unit for easy resupply. Mobile Spawn Point should be used by the rest, although Extra Cargo Capacity 3 can be useful on missions that feature multiple items on a single stage (Creme de la Crime in particular comes to mind).
  3. Online polls are hilariously easy to manipulate. I personally could completely reverse that on my own right now, if I cared to.
  4. You seem to have missed that my post was made as a general statement, not specifically directed at this thread's topic.
  5. Bethesda logic. Why do it themselves when the players can do it for them?
  6. Why bother testing, when the information is readily available? https://apbdb.com/items/Weapon_LMG_ALIG762 https://apbdb.com/items/Weapon_LMG_NSSW ALIG: - 74.3 hard damage per shot - 0.180 fire interval - roughly ~412.78 hard damage per second NSSW: - 29.5 hard damage per shot - 0.155 fire interval - roughly ~190.32 hard damage per second There isn't even a remote competition between them. All that being said, neither of these weapons are relevant to the topic at hand, as neither can be used while hanging out a vehicle window.
  7. The Kraken is literally just a pre-modded NSSW. It will function identically to a normal NSSW that's been given the same mods. These guns were created long before G1/RG started making gimmick guns.
  8. That would be the correct thing to do. 100% standing gains regardless of district, but something like 120% if pledged in their home district.
  9. That would work for the IRS (since it's already a sniper rifle), but the Coroner is a rifle classed weapon. I would say make it either an OBIR or CR762 reskin.
  10. The SBSRs need to be just completely rebuilt from scratch.
  11. The actual hard damage DPS is probably higher on the CR762 now. Faster firing with a slightly bigger mag size, and also doesn't need to stop firing to recover accuracy after a few shots.
  12. People that do that are doing that because they want to actually be able to play the game once the opp shows up, instead of opp showing up and the match ending in a couple minutes due to only a stage or two being left. Which is another issue that would be resolved by removing unopposed missions, because then you'd be guaranteed opp on the mission's first stage when the queue pops.
  13. NSSW can't be used out windows, unless that's changed in the past few years...
  14. Live is currently better. Beta will be the clear winner once they shake out the remaining issues though.
  15. I ask for clarification because I've never logged into a beta yet (the tiny windows on previous betas conflicted with IRL work), so my characters would be "new" to the beta client/server.
  16. Alternatively, do the simpler thing of just removing unopposed missions entirely. They serve no purpose (you can't get any rewards or progress), but cause so many problems.
  17. Clarification requested: Does this affect those of us who haven't had a chance to actually join the betas at all? Would like to know if I should even bother to download the beta client at this point, because if I can't join (with my characters from live server) then it would be a waste of time.
  18. How are you surprised by this? The menu/title screen would be the last (or near last) thing they'd bother optimizing if their development priorities are in order. Especially if they're still intending to just replace it with the original (or similar to original) one.
  19. It always has. This "nerf" is just bringing it back in line because of an error that was made in a recent update. More of a bugfix than a balance change, if we're being accurate.
  20. I actually quite like the STAR's report. Wouldn't turn down more realistic sounds though (on every gun). It won't. At all. This is a buff in the right direction, but the Harbinger is horrendously bad compared to RSA/ACT despite serving an identical niche.
  21. You undersell it. AVX has been supported by basically every CPU made in the past 10+ years. Dropping AVX support just to cater to a tiny minority of people that adamantly refuse to upgrade their beyond ancient hardware (and rabidly demand developers still cater to them) is a terrible plan, and will hurt the game going forward. It's a shame that MattScott somehow doesn't realize this.
  22. Oh look, you're ignoring the thing again. Why am I not surprised?
  23. For the first part, it is very much so the correct decision when looking at the big picture. The game is dead, the population numbers (such as they are) fluctuating is meaningless. The only ones still here are ones that can look past the issue and just derive what enjoyment they can from the core gameplay. Leaving the issue alone won't deter these people, which is why the current population is identical to what it was before Little Orbit entered the picture in the first place (which is something you people like to ignore when you bring up population decline). Little Orbit is a tiny studio working on a relatively massive project. They most certainly are being held back by limited resources, and the best thing to do in such a situation is to focus your resources where they're going to be most effective. Since they don't have to worry about player retention (there is none, because new players are rare and existing players won't leave), working on stuff like matchmaking and threat is literally meaningless so long as the game runs like complete patootie even on ideal hardware. Also the part where they've already stated phasing can't happen until after the engine upgrade because the current engine literally doesn't have the functionality required for it, and phasing is mandatory for the intended matchmaking and threat changes to even function correctly. As for the second part, yea it's shitty. Nothing to be done for it though, MattScott apparently wants to retain this game's marketing target of salty edgelords as the core audience and community.
  24. Speed/mobility is the strongest stat in the game, period. Kevlar completely gimping speed/mobility is why it will forever be a useless mod (outside of meme builds, of course). The only way to make Kevlar useful, is to completely remove the speed/mobility downside and instead give it a more reasonable downside. Or just completely rework what the mod does.
