i wouldn't say so in this point - executable code, executable databases and executable files vs all databases, all files and just executable code it seems quite obvious but idk if it is. maybe it is. anyway. not really my main point
-
i don't. i've only used the advanced launcher (which is explicitly allowed - which you tried to misrepresent in previous threads iirc) and this was definitely not point of the discussion. it's about "gaining an unfair advantage". being forbidden in the eula does in fact not mean it is because you get an unfair advantage. e.g. racist/offensive symbols (arguably) don't do that either. and since he claimed it has the same result, your response/counterargument does not hold, since it isn't related. also the eula is ambigous. does it mean executable databases and files? :^) if so, since they are not executed (they are being interpreted/parsed, comparable to html documents), this isn't a technical violation. that being said, the latter does not make it not a bannable offense - and also doesnt mean that isn't an advantage in a way. i'm quite neutral, i couldn't care less if people use them or if they were forbidden. just trying to make objective statements. Merged. not necessarily true, as stated above. also it really isn't, there are also official statements made by the devs. (e.g. about advanced launcher) - and, you know, things like the law xd sry for doublepost, missed mergetime.

it has the same result though - that's his point

where are horses, housing and pets

yes nah oh well

well thats not my issue also i think jt is quite fair + most armas weapons are reskins or presets - and iirc they said they'd look into introducing the armas weapons ingame still no reason why they'd just give out a perm - an unlock, sure, like the valentines one, but why would they go overboard suddenly lol
-
i dont think bunnies and eggs are too related to jesus either i guess they fuck a lot and get born? all about the symbolism, sure especially lindt chocolate bunnies why do you paint eggs though why would you expect a 4 slot car or a permanent weapon from a simple event tho like when has this been the case ever which other f2p game throws that kinda stuff after you

??? wtf why would they have to do so this isn't what easter is about xd

you said that russians aren't a race but refrained from alleging zombie to be a racist (based on the possible implications of their post) i just meant that i was a bit quick with the allegations. which is bad. and you didn't. which is good. so i said fuck. -

that implies that russians are a race. hence that you believe that races are a thing. thus, you actually are a racist. :^) someone was quicker but not with the allegations. fuck. -
not a new idea, this has been brought up tremendous amounts on the old forums - what's next, zombies, motorcycles, helicopters, planes, horses, housing or pets? xd jk adding a skateboard as an orange mod seems kinda cool and fun but you couldnt expect like tony hawk level stunts... plus it might cause issues since you could probably reach spots you shouldn't be able to. making anything a safezone on the map seems quite unreasonable, since right now everything outside a mission is a safezone anyway except for n/p 5s and ramraiders. if you made it a safezone and e.g. made ppl lose n/p 5 or lose their collected money, it'd effectively make the map smaller, since you couldnt use it during most activities. plus, if people chilled there and skated around, they might also occupy the slots in a district so matchmaking could get worse. guess this would get solved by phasing. maybe skating should be a social only thing. in a few years - sadly there are other priorities surrounding the basegame and adding features to social... seems a bit off right now. however, i bet there are some difficulties to implementing skateboarding. have you ever seen that in any other open world game (except dedicated skating games lul)? not even gta has them... idk what that would be but... seems like something to think about. (i do remember them in an mmorpg - archeage, lol. but i guess mmorpgs are a bit different lul) even if it was in districts and even an orange mod, i guess it'd take quite some more development than your avaerage new content - and it wouldnt add too much

dethreating is always a thing - right now you don't get discouraged. yeah, reducing money gained was a thing before - but imo not drastic enough. idk, having boundaries that can get circumvented by dethreating is not solving much. adding incentives to not dethreat/giving people, who would otherwise dethreat an alternative sounds more reasonable. or preventing dethreating as a whole by e.g. matchmaking by using max threat ever gained - maybe with deterioration over time, while keeping the actual threat as it is. (not ideal, obviously. sounds like one solution though) but no - the action to take right now is sit back and relax while they introduce phasing first and seeing if it's already solved then.
-
worse idea than what g1 implemented by introducing even more limits (downwards) threat segregation was actually tested (gold+below in gold, silver+below in silver, bronze+below in bronze) by g1 - and they lost quite an amount of players back then. reasonable solutions would be reducing money gain and removing weapon role gain if you are in a lower district - so you could play with your friends, if need be. however, they are working on server-wide matchmaking through phasing which will also improve matchmaking by a margin

okay, that's one thing we don't have. i mean, if you take a look at e.g. wildlands, there is a bazillion different militaresque gear out there - and it get's super specific. riot helmets sound kinda cool but beyond that, i couldn't think of much that we don't already have a similar option to. maybe a riot shield on the back, like the skateboards/radios? xdxd

Ongoing Jericho DDoS Issue (UPDATE)
neophobia replied to MattScott's topic in General Discussion Archive
they've been using cloudflare for years (not sure if they use spectrum tho) interesting arbitary number. 80% proceed to hit their forehead with the palm of their hands when reading certain posts on the forums. Some people just can't read or process and comprehend what they are reading (hey he even misspelled the name DESPITE the forums actually providing name suggestions once you type @) -
WHAT HAPPENS WITH THE GAME?
neophobia replied to iLoveApbRealy's topic in General Discussion Archive
ye, just do it. this isn't just some kid running LOIC on his gaming pc. those would be caught within hours. do you think they wouldn't act if there was an easy/good solution? afaik they were actually working with fbi (think matt dropped that, tiggs back in the days too) it's probably impossible - currently - since anonymization with various networks is way too safe, easy and proof, they might just use crypto to rent a booter, those use slaves all over the world that they acquired one way or the other and they'd use some anonymous hosting for their control servers/clients, have multiple layers... certain organizations might be able to shutdown parts of a botnet - but determining who is behind all that and who their clients are even... if you just find the owners of the botnet (that might live in different countries too) you don't really gain anything. even if those were stopped, there are different botnets that could be used instead. it's most likely near impossible to see who they did transactions with and get the culprit who "hired" them. i guess it's much like a contract killer - you don't find the guy who hired them by catching the contract killer but by inspecting people who held grudges etc - for a videogame that seems quite impossible, especially when they banned masses of people. and then there are those that just do it for fun. the only real way to deal with this is more mitigation and filtering. steam has their network opened to developers now and could be used to obfuscate their server addresses and thus deal with the DDoS to a degree. maybe they'll implement that, would actually be pretty good -

WHAT HAPPENS WITH THE GAME?

They did not, they added BattlEye. We had no client-sided AC before. (Except PunkBuster years ago) People cried for it - and BattlEye is the best in the industry - albeit intrusive - yet people still whine. They promised to replace FF since it was flawed. They disabled FF so far. Okay-ish move if you ask me. (Though I was never affected by false-positives or other unjustified manual bans) They said they are working on an in-house server-sided one. this though. RP probably didn't really work on it and when the EU will release is still in the stars - but they make actual, quite quick and big progress. The new weapon wasn't something too major - but they probably only used it to get a process defined and tested - which is very good. The gamemodes were nice albeit a bit clusterfucky. The ARG was quite impressive. What made me very happy was that they are working on balancing and changes - while admitting mistakes and acting upon them. (Though CSG was a bit overnerfed again :/) Also, they pretty much fixed shotgun hitreg. The lag isn't great but really, they are making progress and obviously care. -
dyscrimination huh to be choosed? aren't you a native english speaker? anyway. ye the zionists are taking over, 100% or wait: already took over. of course it is a religion thing, it's the jews. are you guys for real

however, this is not even the case. it said it stopped loading - and the e.g. the rivatuner files are even named hook. be just strictly blocks injection - something that anticheats have been doing since forever. means you can't use certain applications - but honestly not a big deal, it is very reasonable for mp games. ideally they'd have a whitelist but ye, injection is always an open door for cheats. blizzard e.g. completely blocks all injections/hooks for overwatch with no regard to any exceptions iirc not saying be doesn't scan your pc. but this right here is not related at all. might even be the version you/they use if they e.g. check signatures
