You need to take a chill pill. So far, the changes have been great and a much needed breath of fresh air. You're upset that your full auto cqc sniper rifle can't have rifling on it anymore? Too bad. Adapt. There are other guns that now have a chance to shine.- 206 replies

For the love of all that's holy, please don't listen to feedback from the whining vocal minority on the forums. Plenty of times perfectly viable weapons were nerfed to the ground because bad players can't comprehend that some weapons shouldn't be hold lmb to win. APB has a number of top tier players, who have never been banned, and know absolutely everything about how this game is played. Please ask them what they think instead.- 532 replies

I've had this issue for a while, but here goes. When downloading patches, the download rate is incredibly slow. Last patch from G1 (before LO took over), I was downloading at less than 1kb/s. This latest patch, it seems to be capped at 140kb/s. My internet is just fine. I can download any other game from Steam at 2mb/s easy. Any ideas?

One of very last patches RTW made before closing down was an update to the gunshot sounds. Players shooting far out (even beyond 100m) would have this really cool echoing muffled effect, so it sounded like it was bouncing between the buildings. I distinctly remember getting on the test server back in the day (it was the patch where they first added recoil, 1.4.1 I think), and how great it sounded. A similar effect existed for explosions too. But... Early on, G1 somehow broke this system, and never bothered to fix it (like so many other things). Could you perhaps look into it restoring it?

The NTEC is the only assault rifle that feels good to use. Destroying it is stupid. Make all guns good, not the one good gun bad. The bottom line of this thread, is that the vast majority of you have no idea what you're talking about, don't understand the game mechanics, and probably couldn't land 2 consecutive shots on a stationary target. What should happen is, LO should get in touch with some of the top tier players who actually know how this game works and how the guns are be used, and ask them for feedback. -

No thanks. APB is a unique game, with nothing like it anywhere else. If you want PUBG mechanics, maybe you should play PUBG instead. -
LO, you mentioned you're re-hiring some old APB developers. How big is your dev team? Or, how big are you planning to grow?

I posted this back when the pack was only announced, but G1 never listened to feedback back then. The weapons in this pack, aside from the fact that they are completely useless against the current meta, look ridiculous. This is the ingame version: I realigned some part of the weapons to make them look cooler, and more importantly, make sense. Barrels that don't align with the bolt carrier are such an eye sore, among other things...

This Q&A was gold. After years of speculation about bullshoot bans, and Tiggs pretending like there weren't, Matt Scott just came in with a sledge hammer and confirmed it. Plus all the other stuff he called the old G1 out on. They seems genuinely interested in making this game what it should have been all these years ago. Then again, so did G1 when they first bought it. I suppose time will tell. -
When APB launched under RTW, the gun models were very artsy, and only roughly based on their real life counterparts. Then G1 took over, and all the new weapons were modeled after real guns, which was a huge improvement as they actually looked good. I've made a quick comparison between some of APB's ugly weapon models, to what they were based on. As you can see, the game models are absolutely disgusting. The CR5 looks like the deformed brother of the M4A1: The SR15 is a disproportionate SIG 552: The CR762 is an ugly SIG 550: The OBIR might be an HK93? It's so ugly, who knows. The OSCAR looks pretty similar to the OBIR, so I guess it's a tacti-cool HK93: Any chance you could update the original game's weapons to look more inline with the new ones?
