For me in Asylum, it's the HUD that causes the fps drop. Turning off HUD makes it play way smoother, but obviously not playable since you can't tell who's a teammate and who's an enemy. Also, ironically when east was having the lag for everyone the last few days, I had perfect hitreg despite teleporting around.

I liked the bounty feature when the final mission rewards were linked to your notoriety. Surviving with a bounty meant extra money and standing. G1 removed that feature, so it ended up being an annoyance with no rewards. Even then, I wouldn't have had an issue with it if enforcers and criminals levels increased at the same rate, and if it started at 3 or 4 star each mission instead of rolling over from previous missions.

So, what parts of the roadmap have been started? Vehicle balance? Can't count the Epic Games integration since we have an old version of EAC.

How to disable weapon switching?

And this is why you keep dropping to silver. -
How to disable weapon switching?

It's annoying when you get a lag spike and don't know if your key press registered. Sometimes the server itself gets confused and switches back to the previous weapon. -
Game Update suggestion Detection of permanent items in emails
BlatMan replied to KINGANDI360XXX's topic in Game
They should ditch the current email system and have a separate database for Armas related unlocks. Add an option in the Armas store to resend items to a character. -
apb would be better without car surfer mod
BlatMan replied to FakeBungo's topic in Social District (General Discussion)
Car surfer should be removed. It allows players to use restricted weapons from a moving vehicle. There's balance reasons why you can't use an ALIG, DMR, and OSMAW out of the window of a vehicle. They even nerfed the hard damage on the N-ISSR-B because they realized it was too powerful when used leaning out of the window. I get the kill on the driver, and the driver gets a team kill. Does anything in this game work right? -
How about posting on your main account instead of an alt.

And it's clearly a scam, tax evasion, or something borderline legal. The site only shows RTW content. They couldn't even use a screenshot or video from the last 10 years.

cheating simulator 2010
BlatMan replied to CheatingSimulator's topic in Social District (General Discussion)
Did you get banned and had to create another account? I won't say there aren't cheaters. There's some on Twitch that LO intentionally ignore, like the one who used to be named after a zombie survival game, or the one who's in game name is a spin off of Mr Beast's video intro. But, big but, the way threat is calculated causes players with a massive skill gap to be matched together frequently. Low to high gold is like brand new player to expert veteran. Mid bronze to mid silver is completely random. It comes down to what score bonuses the mission applies rather than skill. Green is harder to get than bronze, due to the anti dethreat mechanic that prevents threat from changing if your score is too low. There's also a massive difference in network performance between players, which can make some look like they're cheating. Some have perfect hitreg despite having 300ms living in Australia, while others with less than 20ms get no hitreg because their packets are being dropped somewhere inside LO's network. Generally I can 2 pump shotguns on EU with 90-300ms varying latency, but on US East it takes 3+ shots. On US West I'm better off trying to throw my car at them. -
I only found mediocre game development.

No no they're different. This time the CEO is a hipster instead of a horse.

The N-HVR 243 had it's damage increased from 550 to 575, and linked the weapon switch delay to the bolt timer. Obir had it's range reduced from 60M to 55M, and also had the weapon switch delay linked to the bolt timer. The sprinting delay was done by G1. Not sure if that's relevant since that affected every slower rate of fire weapon. They're different class of weapons. Only reason the Obir is used more now is because Little Orbit nerfed the damage on the Obeya rifle. I can't tell if y'all are being sarcastic or not about Frosi. I hope it's sarcasm.

what all did apb do better than gta online?
BlatMan replied to hapygirl's topic in Social District (General Discussion)
Most of the game is not client sided. -
Yes. Epinephrine turns you into Sonic on crack.
-
That's the issue, you can't with short term data. However, it shouldn't be possible to move faster server sided. Character movement should be limited, but currently it's not.
-
That's 99% of the cheaters. You get 1 kill on them and they assume you're cheating.
-
Big difference between getting banned once and getting banned 3+ times on Fairfight. Than again, Tiggs threw a temper tantrum over the horse spray.

Setting "TimeBetweenPurgingPendingKillObjects" higher than 120 seems to have the same performance issues as setting it to 0 (disabled). After a few hours the game continuously stutters and drops below 100fps. I recommend setting it to 120 or a little lower, otherwise set it to 0 and restart the game after 2 hours of playtime, and restart when switching districts. Technically the garbage collection runs when you die in missions, but it's nearly impossible to die often enough for it to clear all unused memory. If you're bronze or higher threat, you'll live long enough for the memory leaks to build up.

This is US East. The service provider's Point of Presence (PoP) is located on the east, but occasionally it takes an extra 80ms within their network to reach the server. More details: LO uses Path Network Inc for DDoS protection. The IP range APB's servers is owned by Path, and is suppose to be anycasted, as in have multiple locations to connect into Path's network services. Problem is it's not or doesn't work. There's only 1 route to each APB server. It's not the end user's ISP since all ISPs route to the same PoP. When that PoP gets overwhelmed, everyone is affected. Then there's the problem with the netcode that causes players to teleport. It's easy to abuse in your favor. I've contacted support about it months ago but nothing's been done.

could flashbangs work in apb, hypothetically?
BlatMan replied to hapygirl's topic in Social District (General Discussion)
Stun grenades are OP since they 1 hit. Only reason I don't use them is because of mobile spawners. Smoke grenades wouldn't work in APB. Name tags are still visible, and the current engine has terrible particle performance. It would function as an fps dropper, not much else. -
could flashbangs work in apb, hypothetically?
BlatMan replied to hapygirl's topic in Social District (General Discussion)
If they were half a second and ringed for 5 seconds or less, they could be useful. Problem is, they won't work properly with the 3rd person camera. Does it go by character line of site (LoS), camera LoS, radius? Too many variables that would feel unbalanced or buggy depending on the situation. Besides, the netcode needs a major overhaul for it to be consistent. APB does a terrible job with grenade synchronization. It's rare for my grenades to miss if they're directly on the player, but I've been killed by grenades that were 20M away. I've gotten whispers stating the same for my grenades. Concs tend to do more damage to the vehicles when exploded on the rear vs the front, probably due to lag compensation. PUBG has flash bangs. It has issues due to the 3rd person camera. You can hit someone in the face with it and they're unaffected, but then the next flash lands behind them and blinds them for multiple seconds. If that game on the Unreal Engine 4, with hundreds of devs, can't get it right, APB sure as hell isn't going to. -
Support tickets being ignored
BlatMan replied to MistyRayne's topic in Social District (General Discussion)
That comment was in reference to the possibility of a security breach within my company. I'm sure you can sue over your account being compromised, but there would need to be extensive evidence. I doubt the payout would be much more than the items on your account, so not worth the time invested suing. If there were enough people reporting the incontinent, say 1000+, maybe it would be worth it, but only if each user could get compensated for their account's total playtime. Even then, the end user gets practically nothing. Most of the payout would go to the lawyers and investors, and LO will go under, defeating the purpose of getting your account and items back.
